I mean honestly, at the time, it was mostly true. Most here were disappointed with not getting Dame, we lost some pieces, and no one knew Jaime would be doing this. Hindsight is obviously 20/20. But I don’t think anyone here was ecstatic about how our offseason went.

I’m still a little worried about the center position. Zeller was a better backup big than anyone we currently have. Sometimes Love can play center, but that isn’t sustainable and he isn’t a center.
Zeller was not bad during the regular season after being picked up, but was borderline unplayable in last year’s playoffs and he’d still be an upgrade over TB and ORob. Our current center depth isn’t playable come playoffs except in spot minutes.

Miami had a C or a D from Bleacher Report last year because they lost PJ Tucker and didn’t get Donovan Mitchell and the Heat still made the finals. Not worried about off-season grades.

Most of my friends were clowning me for our off-season (I don’t live in miami) and I felt like I was going insane defending myself how the team had actually gotten better. I feel vindicated looking back at those texts and conversations now lol

Tbh, Gabe should’ve never left for LA. He hasn’t really been given a chance to play in LA even before his injuries. It’s sad he isn’t even a starter either. Tbh I think if he never left, he probably could’ve kept developing and would’ve been a much better player
