Utah Jazz are listening to offers for Lauri Markkanen

For the Utah Jazz Lori Mark and could be on the Move let’s talk about it also really quick folks before we jump into content if this is the type of content that you enjoy please feel free to subscribe to our Channel we are on the gve to 1,000 subscribers hit that

Subscribe button we appreciate it we do appreciate it thank you very much uh let’s go ahead and pivot over to the uh Utah Jazz shall we absolutely okay let’s go ahead and talk a little bit about Larry marketing like I know we covered we touched on this a little bit last

Week but since then man there’s been a lot of chatter about Larry Mark man dude he’s in pretty much every trade rumor that there possibly is there’s there’s a bunch I’ll go into those in just a second but low is officially on the market for the Utah JZ he is an All-Star

Uh he’s an All-Star level Talent on a role player contract right now this year he’s making 17 million a year next season he’s making 18 million a year yeah like I mentioned that’s a role player type contract there uh with the expansion of the playoffs said more teams thinking they’re going to they

Believe they have a shot and adding somebody who is literally almost 7 footish having being a proficient three-point shooter who’s seven foot tall who can actually create his own shot is insanely valuable right now yep insanely valuable you mentioned it last week that he is one of the guys that is

Not like we wouldn’t be able to replace this guy no so not not immediately I mean Lor’s played and started in 18 games this season so far uh in those 18 games he’s averaging almost 39 minutes a game and he’s shooting 38.9% from three yeah that’s a crazy number man

Especially for a seven-footer that can I mean he can do it all like this is this is your poor man’s Kevin Durant right I mean he can he can dribble to the basket he can score over top of you he can shoot it in the mid-range he can shoot

Threes over top of you like more durable than Kevin more durable but I mean he is he just literally got off injury so let’s take it easy on the durability okay um yeah true very true but but Larry’s a fantastic Talent right before we get this could completely change the

Way the Utah Jazz look though I know I agree I agree but before we get into the trade packages okay let’s talk about what the request so it’s been reported on several different places uh the athletic KSL Sports that uh they are lisening on offers on on lii we talked

About this last week and the only reason why I think the Jazz might potentially move in is just right now he’s about to enter his Prime and the Jazz may not be in a position to where they compete when he’s in his prime and you’re a little

Bit more optimistic than I am about that and we’ll definitely get into that but what the Utah Jazz are expecting to get back from him is a basically a Dom level Hall basically yeah Dom and Rudy like a spider type Hall not necessarily A Rudy type Hall I’m thinking a spider type

Hall is probably what we’re going to see and it’s been reported like we’re talking five first round picks or three first round picks with two NBA ready Talent yeah is what what do you think I don’t think I mean the Jazz are listening to offers but I don’t think

They take anything less than that why would you the fact is like you said the dude’s about to enter his prime you know I mean like he’s about to get even better um and if as long as you continue to put Talent around him you’re G to

Give yourself a chance to win right and I I don’t think the Jazz are lacking Talent now but they’re lacking cohesion in a lot of these situations so I think as long as you can continue to put talent and grow cohesion Lori Markin is going to have a chance to grow and shine

And be a fantastic player in the future for this Utah Jazz team 100% agree so now have you heard any of these pre uh suggested trade packages for Larry I have the biggest one that I read that’s probably most realistic I would say I would say this is kind of

The level that Utah would have to be at um Sports Illustrated proposed this trade and it’s the Jazz to receive so it’s a Trad between the Jazz and Oklahoma City so the Jazz to receive Cas Wallace Osman Davis brons two 2024 first round picks one 2025 first round pick a

2027 first round pick and a 2029 first round pick and the reason that trade is so key is because if they pick up a 2024 first round pick guess who one of those is from the Utah Jazz that’s yeah that’s one of our picks right yeah so the Jazz

Are in a Bad season which means their trade if if they get their first round pick from Oklahoma City it’s probably going to be a top 10 pick and it’s not protected so that’s a huge oklah City and that in that trade package proposed by Sports Illustrated would receive lry

Marinin and Talon Horton Tucker okay so that is three you know mid-level players and five first round draft picks which is huge that is a Lori or I’m sorry that is a Donovan or Rudy style it absolutely is hall for that type of player huge

Okay with that one said give me a yay or nay thumbs up thumbs down on whether or not that is a that is a Danny a type pull the trigger that if Danny actually officially gets take like gets offered that I think he takes it I agree if he

Can get five first rounders for for L marinin who he traded in a package for five first round picks right which was that makes Donovan Mitchell originally worth 10 first round picks which is insane I I you can’t say no to that man if he gets offered five first he’s taken

It I guarantee what OKC make that offer I mean if you’re OKC you’ve got a plethora of picks why wouldn’t you I mean J Wallace and Osmani Deng I’m not super super sure on these guys I know who Davis Bron is though and he’s a good three-point shooting big man you know

He’s been in the league a few years played with the Spurs for a few years so I know Bron’s but if you’re G to get some mid-level talent in five first round picks one of and two of them are GNA gonna convey in the next draft yeah I

Just I don’t see how Utah says no to that I mean yeah it hurts yourself see Lowry go but I mean that is that is quite a haul for a player that a onetime Allstar like you said about to enter his prime I mean and again that turns the

Donovan Mitchell trade into 10 firstr round rep picks yeah why would OKC want to do that right now they’re second seed in the west right now they’re in wi now mode right now hon they’re they’re in win now and Larry helps that team a ton insanely yeah could you imagine I mean

Because right now they got Chad hren who was the number one overall pick last year yeah SGA I mean they’re ridiculously talented and to add one more just solid three-point shooting big man how do you guard that I don’t I can’t tell you yeah I have no idea the

Other one that I kind of saw that that was was interesting to me was um a draft between this is from clutch points um they suggested a jazz and Sacramento trade the Jazz received Davon Mitchell who’s a good player way good player Harrison Barnes solid I’ve actually

Wanted the Jazz to pick up Harrison Barnes for a few years he’s just expensive and he keeps getting these super big contracts um Colby Jones and then a 26 first round pick a 28 and then a 230 first round pick yeah I actually don’t mind that uh lii I’d actually

Rather keep Chris D over tht so I prefer the other one um here’s the second piece though here’s the piece to that that I’d like to add is does he want to go no I don’t think Larry wants to leave Utah no I think he enjoys it here I I think he

Likes the family environment I know the Jazz organization has taken great care of him which is a very nice change because you know traditionally Utah hasn’t been a place a lot of players want to play so to move lry kind of hurts my soul because I think he does

Enjoy it here U but from a business perspective and you know just straight up being a jazz fan we’ve got to get in a position so that we can win some basketball games because we haven’t been and it’s been rough to watch I don’t think Will Hardy is a problem again I

Think it’s a cohesion issue I think we’re having trouble getting some of these players to mesh and work together and actually get it into a position they can be successful in basketball games turning the ball overs killed us um we’ve been running some weird defenses that have been effective sometimes and

Not affective other times it’s been it’s it’s been tough to watch man so um we we’ve got some work to do as a as a as an organization and yeah I mean Danny Ang is just the guy to do it yeah I I said on a previous episode that he’s the

Type of guy this is the guy who traded away Donovan Mitchell Rudy goar Paul Pierce Kevin Garnett Kevin Garnett yep so this is a guy who’s not afraid to trade anybody for if the if the price is right your name don’t matter yeah exactly but when it comes to when it

Comes to lar marke and he did say in interview when he when he was asked about it is first of all I really don’t think it’s a good idea to like ask players in the middle like you’ve been brought up in trade rumors what do you

Think about that I know you have to ask the question but come on guys like I don’t know I I think that should always be like an off the court not in a postgame type thing or a pregame type I think it puts a lot of really awkward

Pressure on players yeah I I I don’t know got an exclusive like where you sit on a couch somewhere like off day that’s the time to ask and and the fact is they always answer the same way just part of the business yeah that’s what every one

Of them say it’s part of the business yeah NBA is a business I’m all good with it whatever ever happens you know I love this organization I want to stay here but if I get traded somewhere it’s part of the business yeah every it’s the answer every time like if you’re gon to

Ask a question just go ahead and write it down because I can tell you I would like to quote what he said here with on an interview with the athletic with Sam Amic uh he said uh like I said I love being in Utah and it’s a compliment to

What you’ve done in the past when teams have interest in you we’ll see but yeah I want to emphasize that I really believe in what we’re building here with the Jazz uh go day by day do your best that’s all you can do uh he has

Mentioned in the past that he loves here in Utah his him and his wife want to raise his kids here you mentioned it before on a previous episode how hard it is to replace what he brings to the table yep do you think the Jazz move Lorry marinin by the trade deadline I

Don’t think that it’s like their top priority but I I know they’re listening to offers and I think that if they can get a five pick thre player massive hall for Lori I think he’s gone really I I I sincerely do I think Danny Angel pull pull the trigger that’s quite a pivot

From last week man he’s like no chance no chance I mean but the thing is is like all the way up until this point Lori was Untouchable can I go a little bit further to say I don’t think anybody will give that much up for lry okay I I

Sincerely don’t I I Lor’s a fantastic player I don’t think anybody will give up five first J picks for him and I don’t think the Jazz are in a position they feel like they need to budge from that let us know in the comments down below folks do you think Larry Markin

Has moved at the trade deadline this year uh let us know what team you think if you know what your package is going to be and your best NBA 2K simulator simulator absolutely and if you like the content make sure you hit the Subscribe button leave us a like uh we appreciate

  1. Jazz like Lauri and it’s highly unlikely to see other teams getting him but would dream of having him.
It’s clear that the jazz have a gem 💎 in laurie.
The jazz had the most difficult sos 🆘 to start and will likely get better in the win column. 😅
The should have and could have had the 🏀 bounce their way in atleast 4 games.
That makes the jazz a .500 team imo.
Very good chance the jazz can play the next 52 games above .500
Could the jazz be a play in or play off team?
They need to make 🆙 6 games in the win column.
Perhaps 🤔 a run 🏃‍♂️ in the win column of six games and then some exciting 🏀 against winning branded teams.
The trade value sky rockets 🚀 and it becomes harder to figure out whether to sell or buy.

The jazz already have a plethora of picks for the future and a core of bench role players that just need chemistry ⚛️
The talent needs to shine ✨ 🔜 before Ainge hits the reset again.
The problem with resetting is when does it stop 🛑?
Imo the nba talent is good and teams can upset each other. Just get to the playoffs and find confidence through belief 😊

Jazz need to determine if they are going to pay 💰 laurie and if Laurie wants to be paid. Jazz will avoid over paying so Laurie will have to question 🙋‍♂️ his role with and living benefits in utah to other states.
No doubt the jazz have an asset in laurie.
I prefer winning teams and players over picks.
The jazz obviously use picks to stay relevant in a small market but that’s where you have to be smart about when and whom and how you trade. Welcome 🙏 to Kansas Toto 😢

Not interested in the players okc offering but their picks are of value like 2024 … 2025 and beyond are stacked so meaningless
The jazz have their pick protected top 10
Obvious the jazz want it to convey but if it doesn’t they may not be bad enough to win anything in the lottery that’s relevant like top3
Jazz would only trade laurie if they truly want to lose.
It’s projected they will win far more then lose with this team going forward. Oh dear
    Stuck in the middle
    Mediocrity!!!!!

I prefer keeping laurie but if other teams want laurie they better hurry before jazz find momentum.

  2. Lauri is exactly the type of player you want to help build a team with. All the Jazz need is an MVP kind of guard or fast wing player that's also a great passer. Keyonte has potential to be an all-star caliber player. Hard to say if he'd ever be an MVP caliber player.

My guess is the Jazz will need a top 5 pick in the draft, at some point. The 2027 Laker pick has potential to be that, but it's no guarantee. The Jazz would likely need to acquire enough draft picks to be able to move up to get a player like that.

  3. Okc would not give away Wallace. Coach likes him Dat too much.
Get rid of giddy 3 first round and couple of development players to jazz can get some more development players

  4. Lauri would need to promise to make new contract with the future team for them to make big offer. No reason to pay that much for just one and a half season. If Lauri wants to stay in Utah, he should not make new contract before current one ends.

  5. I can guarantee that he wont go to OKC unless Utaha re not asking for any of their young players or getting more first round picks.

  6. There's a top 10 protection on the Jazz to OKC pick this season, next season, and then it becomes top 8 protected in 2026. If the Jazz rebuild properly, the pick may never convey, so for OKC to offer it back isn't all that valuable. Keeping Lauri makes it more likely to convey.

  7. okc isnt going to give up 5 1st round picks for Lauri lol. At most 2 1st round picks. Just cause they have a lot of 1st round picks doesnt mean they will use it all on 1 player. Common sense man.

  8. Cason Wallace has way too much potential to be called 'mid level talent'…

I don't think the Thunder would trade Wallace at all.

  9. I just don't understand why people seem to feel OKC has to give 2x more than any other team. They have the assets because they're not just giving them away.

  10. I’m gonna tell you right now as an OKC fan that there is no way that we are giving up Cason Wallace in my opinion. I would swap him out with Josh Giddey. Probably give you Tre Mann instead of Ous also. OKC has enough pics that they can make up the difference with.

  11. Timberwolves gave up way too much for Rudy go bear, and now all the contents are basing future trades off of one teams overpayment.

  12. the problem I have with this is that Utah has zero chance of ever landing a strong free agent, and now they have a young all-star player who seems like a guy who would stay in Utah long term, so they should be building around him not looking to move him. He is still 2-3 years from his prime. Utah has time. Move other guys imo. Collins, Kelly O, Clarkson, Kris Dunn and accumulate picks in other ways. I think trading Lauri is the wrong move. Move the rubiks cube around him, not reset the whole cube.

  13. The Jazz already own like 13 more pics between theirs, LA, Clev and Minn. With 5 more making 18 what would they be hoping to get with 18 total. You cant keep them all with just the 13 they have. I would have like that brought into the conversation.
