[KnicksMuse] Here’s what kills me: If RJ Barrett was playing at the level of most other #3 overall picks, the Knicks would be title contenders.

This is a killer for this franchise!

If only he was Jahlil Okafor! We’d be a powerhouse!! /s

  2. This is irrelevant.. there have been plenty other 3rd overall picks that haven’t been good either. Thibs has to play the team’s 3rd best player (Quickley) 30+ mins a game.. not Barrett. Not rocket science. And the on-off/net rating numbers back that up

Yes, if he was a top 5 player in the NBA we’d be a title contender obviously lol. I’d sign up for him being a top 50 player though.

2019’s draft ended up being an underwhelming one. Zion with his injuries and weight issues. Ja loves to play with guns and RJ with his Jekyll and Hyde routine every night.

Dumbass comments in here per usual. The other #3 picks weren’t guards that were expected to score and be players that could be relied upon to make open threes. It’s completely on point for this franchise to draft the only lottery pick shooting guard that cannot shoot.

Well none of those players were available to draft when we had the #3 pick so it’s irrelevant

Honestly the main problem I see with RJ is his passing. Or lack there of. He was not even a top 5 player on the game tonight yet he probably forced the most shots at the rim even tho there’s usually someone open when he drives to the basket.

  8. i doubt we would have let jaylen brown develop or had the patience for embiid.

  9. confuddly

Jaylen Brown wouldve looked almost as bad here as RJ IMO,

  10. This organization has drafted way too many RJ’s and not enough Quickley’s. This has been going on for decades.

It’s not just RJ, it’s the cumulative result of Ntilikina, Knox AND RJ.

That’s why we are who we are.

  12. It’s great that these No. 3’s are excelling, but if you roll the clock back a bit more you get guys like Otto Porter Jr., Enes Kanter, Derrick Favors, O.J. Mayo, Adam Morrison, Mike Dunleavy, Darius Miles, and Raef LaFrentz; in other words, busts or guys who don’t actually move the needle. RJ is one of those pedestrian number 3 overall picks, but him turning out that way isn’t rare even as a top 3 pick in the draft.

We have the worst 3rd pick for six years? Sound about right for this franchise

  14. I love the fact that this sub is coming around on Barrett and realizing he’s a disappointment

Who would we draft third if we could do it over?
