It seems like with everything, including the draft, that half the nba scouts wait til a consensus opinion comes out and then say “that’s my take”

Rival guys, scouts saying C’s are good. Probably not true though.

See I’m really big on team building and playing around with different trade/signing scenarios.
When I read a comment like this:
>“But if those guys are buying in to what (coach Joe) Mazzulla is asking and they keep passing and cutting, hoo-boy, watch out.”
One of the first things I do is check out stats on cutting.
When looking at available targets we could get, which ones are great cutters who could complement us and help the team play their best style of basketball?
The frustrating part of this season… when looking at these sorts of stats, the guys are already on the team.
* Cutting frequency – Kornet is 3rd in the league. Queta is 11th.
* Points per possession in handoffs – White is 3rd in the league.
* Points per possession off Screens – Hauser is 7th in the league.
* Contested shots – Porzingis is 9th in the league.
* Assist to Turnover Ratio – Pritchard is 6th in the league.
* Transition possessions – Brown is 1st
* Catch and shoot PPG – Hauser is 13th.
We’ve got leading guys when it comes to moving, passing, cutting, taking care of the ball and getting out to contest shots.
Even stats where we don’t have a top guy, we feature multiple options who are all pretty good:
* Deflections – Holiday is 21st in the league, White is 32nd and Tatum is 47th.
* Defensive plays per foul – White is 22nd in the league, Holiday is 38th, Horford is 57th.
So it’s hard to team build with this roster.
One area we lack in is screen assists. That only leaves guys like Zach Collins or Daniel Gafford.
You’re only looking at guys like Matisse Thybulle, Xavier Tillman and Delon Wright if you want to improve our steals, deflections and general on-ball pressure.

Also rival fans think Celtics are good. As well as fans of others sports. Me too if that counts.

The most interesting part of the article for me was how Marcus smart is seen as a net negative in the locker room. So glad we have Jrue instead.
