  1. Been to Vegas once and have no interest in ever going back. Place is a cesspool.

    >Like all good mystical experiences, it happened in Vegas. I was standing on top of one of their many tall buildings, looking down at the city below, all lit up in the dark. If you’ve never been to Vegas, it is really impressive. Skyscrapers and lights in every variety strange and beautiful all clustered together. And I had two thoughts, crystal clear:

    >It is glorious that we can create something like this.

    >It is shameful that we did.

Whether you agree or disagree with his take on Las Vegas it sure is fun when people aren’t afraid to have opinions.

The balls on him! I wonder if he’d say the same thing if they had a team there right now and there was a possibility he could be traded there at some point.

It’s the worst. All they do is take a famous landmark from elsewhere and then build the Great Value version of it.

  5. Not a Vegas fan either, but I feel Dubai is like Vegas but way worse.

Yeah, visiting one time is enough for me. Out of every place on Earth tho? lol

The city is alright but the strip is one of the most soulless places in America.

  8. I went to Vegas for the first time this year on a work trip for a week.

    I don’t gamble or drink.

And I had an absolute blast, because I went to so many shows.

My biggest recommendation is Absinthe; it was absolutely hysterical. Pricey, but well worth it. If you have thick skin, sit in the front row or two and maybe the host will roast you. I watched magic shows of Shin Lim and Mat Franco as well; both were excellent. Shin Lim (and Colin Cloud who does the show with him) blew my mind though. I saw “O” by Cirque du Soleil as well, which was pretty good. The Sphere was interesting too.

The food was ….. really pricy, and not particularly great. But good thing the company covered for it :). Everything is really expensive and gaudy, but that’s the style and flair I guess.

I just enjoyed all the shows I went to. Probably will go back at some point.

P.S – They have an In-N-Out! Best goddamn $9 burger ever. As an East coaster, I rarely ever get to have it, so that was dope.

    Vegas is not the Strip.

I detest the casino, show, and convention Las Vegas. I like the city, the desert, the natural attractions, and the everyday people I have met over the years. There is a lot more to see and do than just hang around the big hotels.

  10. Good now we can stop with all the Wemby to the Aces rumors.

  11. Vic_Hedges

Vegas exists solely for the purpose of siphoning money from the desperate and delusional into the pockets of gangsters.

Everything else about it is incidental.

In the US? Maybe. But there are crazier places in the world, like several cities in China, that are a massive “why the actual fuck?”

if he thinks vegas is a dystopia do not let him see dubai

What almost getting attacked by Britney Spears will do to a MFer.

    To each his own.

We go hiking and catch a a couple concerts each year. Cheap round trip for a couple days.

  17. collapse1122

vegas is fine and a lot of fun. if he wants to see a dystopia in the US than go to san fransisco

  18. Dudes 19. How does he have opinions on Vegas when he cant gamble or drink

  19. PantiesMallone

He’s 19 and French, who gives a fuck about his opinion of an American city he doesn’t live in.

When I was in my younger 20s and single Vegas was the fucking shit. Even when I was broke and was using poor tricks to extend the length my money would go.

Went in my mid 20s with my now wife when we had been dating for like 9 months and it was like “what is the point of this” lol

I’d go back for Summer League, but not deadset on going back for anything else.
