The Utah Jazz Have Some TRADEABLE PLAYERS! | NBA News & Discussions

What’s going on y’all welcome back to basketball so the Utah Jazz as to no surprise at all aren’t very good this year they’re currently 10 and 17 at the time of recording this which is good enough for 12th in the west I believe and trade rumors are swirling all around

They’ve got a lot of quality players on the team but it just there’s not enough like star power to compete with the rest of the league right it’s just it’s not a great combination of players and so the jazzz and with all the great wisdom that they have in their front office have

Made Lowry marinin available and just every other decent player on this team available not named Walker Kessler so I figured we’d take a look at some of those most popular names that are kind of floating around and talk about where those guys may fit in and what they

Might do to try and get a good return out of them so we all know Danny a kind of a master of making these trades Happ and he loves his draft picks he’s pretty good at picking out Talent from anywhere in the draft and so you have to imagine

That he’s going to find a way to maximize these trades how he does all that out of my realm of knowledge and everything but we all know know that they’re already saying hey for Lowry we want the same thing that we got for Rudy and seon or not for seon Don Donovan

Mitchell so we want like five draft picks and some quality players it’s like whoa okay that’s that’s a lot and I think teams have kind of learned from the Rudy gobear trade a little bit that that’s that was probably over the line but that’s where the starting price is

Uh is set at the moment so let’s talk about where Lowry might be able to go for reference this year low Markin having another phenomenal season 23 points a game about eight rebounds right what’s the three-point percentage at about 38 around the same as last year uh the effective field goal percentage is

About the same shooting a decent clip from free throw again he’s he’s having another All-Star caliber season um I get the feeling that they won’t put him in the All-Star game uh more so for the fact that like he kind of came on the scene last year people are like oh look

Larry markton he’s good at basketball and everyone wanted to be the one to say that and nowadays it’s like okay well we already knew he was good and he plays to the Utah Jazz so we don’t really care Lowry’s an incred an incred incredibly skilled player though when he was with

The bulls he was so underutilized I’m a bulls fan for those that don’t know I hated watching him just stand in the corner and not be involved in the game when you saw that he had he had the capabilities of putting the ball on the floor he was athletic he could attack

The rim he could shoot he he could do so many things and I’m glad that he’s finally uh found a place where he can do that and where they utilize him property but now where does he go right the Jazz aren’t probably going to be in contention anytime soon so where can

They move him to some of the teams that I have written down here are are like the Pistons the Warriors the Pacers maybe the Pelicans the Kings and then the thunder so let’s talk about them a little bit you think about the Pistons right they need shooting they could use

Some length someone that can go to the wing and be down low right they they just need some help for Cade and it’s not even worth tanking at this point because they’re so bad that are they really even developing at this point like you got to start getting some

Quality players around all these young guys and there’s probably some players that you’re willing to give up in picks just to try and be a little bit better off and so I I understand the fit for Lowry Markin I don’t know what you’re giving up to get him it it doesn’t seem

Like they care about Jay NY at all and I’m I know that would be an intriguing piece for them you probably giving up someone like an Isaiah Stewart or something like that beef stew is someone that I don’t understand his fit on the Pistons Ro I don’t dislike him as a

Player but it’s a decent guy to get back and it’s probably a pick that’s pretty valuable to them as well so I could see him on the Pistons as far as the Warriors yeah we get it how much of the bench are you willing to give up though

To bring in low marinin I totally understand wanting him and everything uh if you’re giving up Draymond Green in this move I I doubt that’s the idea but I’m like maybe I’m a little bit more in favor of that if I’m the general manager I’m not actually doing that but me as a

Fan like that makes sense basketball-wise but I don’t I don’t know how much depth you’re willing to sacrifice to get Lowry Markin and how many draft picks I just I know he’s an Allstar and he’s that good and everything but at some point you’re left with nothing else in the roster and then

You might be saying well we’re going to try one more time next year or something right when we can go get some more minimum contract guys but I just I don’t know what that really looks like uh the Pacers the Pacers need some power forward help like really bad especially

Since jarus Walker like doesn’t get to play at all uh I would assume he’s involved in the trade um and you know there’s not a clear role for him on the team right now but I still think they’d want to see the development of him but you’d like to get some more Talent

Around Halbert and another score that’d be great take a little pressure off halberton give him another guy to play with plus him and Miles Turner I feel like would be a really interesting like uh seven-footer combination I just I’d really like to see that the Pelicans and

Kings are kind of in the same boat where they they’re not necessarily in need of a guy like him but he is like an upgrade so like what are you giving up for him like I’m not giving up uh Keegan Murray to get low Markin and I just I’d rather

See where Keegan Murray develops especially since Keegan Murray’s on like this hot streak right now of just being an incredible incredible shooter and I know the length and the strength and everything of marinan is really enticing and everything but you don’t want to rush things like that the continuity of

Having a guy like Keegan Murray on the Kings I feel like is more valuable um the Thunder is the one that’s interesting to me and what I think would be interesting in that trade is if they AB absolutely do want to get get off Josh giddy who knows what happens

Legality wise with everything in giddy I just I don’t know I won’t speak on the comments that I’ve heard from my people or anything but like let’s say they want to move giddy right and they’re like okay we got to get rid of giddy low markkanen’s kind of a nice swap for that

Like he probably does just fit what the team needs better giving them more size because they don’t have a ton right and playing him next to Chad would be kind of crazy right that’s a lot of shooting that’s a lot of switchability between your bigs even like that’s that’s pretty

Nuts you have a really big lineup then too between Shay and uh Chad and Lowry on the team so that’s one that I’d like to watch a little bit all right let’s talk about Jordan Clarkson now so Jordan Clarkson uh one of the six men extraordinaire of the NBA great score

Right we know that’s what he’s that that’s what he’s in the league to do right I know the efficiency’s been kind of wonky in his career at points but he’s a guy that can go get you some buckets Off the Bench and he might just win you a couple games in the playoffs

If you’re a contending team so scoring’s uh a bit down this year 16 points a game for him only 16 points right but about five assists a game which I believe is a yeah that’s a career high for him the three-point percentage is dog water right now you know they they’ve got a

Lot of younger guys handling the ball on this team and they’re trying to figure it out I I’d like to think if he was on a team with a better Supporting Cast that you’d actually see a little bit more out of him and maybe even more

Focus I don’t like to ever call on a player’s focus in game but I do actually think that would be um a thing that would boost his statistics a little bit to be put on a team with a little more contention a little more accountability you also know the turnovers are pretty

High but again kind of a garbage team they’re playing with right now I I hate to call it a garbage team they’re not very good this year and they’re kind of all over the place right so I I just I’d want to see him on a team with a little

More more stability a little bit more of a defined role again right where he can he can get into his flow and be the scorer that he’s supposed to be off the bench there’s two teams I really have in mind that I’d like to see Jordan

Clarkson go to and he’s in the trade rumors every year because like he’s a he’s a name right he’s a guy that people know can go get you 20 points on any given night and every contending team wants to have that bench score right and

One of the guys or one of the teams that I think about that would be really interesting is Philly right I I know that’s the team that a lot of people connect him to right Philly Lally could use like a bench score and what they

Give up for that I don’t know maybe they uh once the time is passed they can put together something like a Marcus Morris um Batum guys like that right some of the guys they just got to package in some picks or something uh I don’t know

Throw in some sort of little package to try and get a guy like Jordan Clarkson I don’t think it takes too much to get him because he’s not under contract for a ton longer so if you can put together something like that bring in Jordan Clarks and have him come off the bench

To relieve Maxi of some of his scoring duties and ball handling responsibilities I think that’d be a pretty big help to the Sixers who are trying to keep this contention window open for embiid when they just don’t really have the ability to go get another star right now like besides

Maybe like a Zack LaVine or something I just I don’t really know who else is available for them to go and get the other team I think about is the Timberwolves um what the Timberwolves do to make trades I don’t know uh I can’t help you with that one they gave up a

Lot of assets to get Rudy gobear they don’t have a ton of interesting prospects for people I what I can’t even remember the guy they drafted this year I can picture him is it Leonard Miller is that what it is I think not a not a

Huge fan of his game from the film that I’ve watched but whatever maybe someone else is right but I just I know they need like a bench score like they need that six-man guard to come off and just get them some buckets and I think Jordan

Clarkson would be a great fit for that I just I I don’t know if he’s like the dog necessarily that they need on this team I I can’t speak to that but just like from a basketball sense he’s the type of guy they could really use as like a plug

And play Go Get Buckets right now because a lot of times it’s Edwards it’s cat and then it’s hopefully someone else kind of gets hot like go bear goes and gets the points that are given to him right Nas Reed is creating a little bit more this year which is cool Nas Reed’s

Having a great year but having a guard that can initiate some offense for them I think would go a long way man the dude finally gets traded and he’s already back in the trade room there John Collins there was a report that was like the Jazz are not very happy with John

Collins effort and learning the offense and everything and fair enough who who knows the legitimacy of that and everything but nonetheless John Collins is back in the trade rumors he can’t go one year without being someone that is thrown into these rumors because they’re like hey like let’s let’s take a look at

Some of his his stats over his young career right a very productive NBA player um for someone that nobody seems to really want right and what’s the reason for that why is he always in the trade rumors why is he never like contributing to wins that’s something

That I can’t necessarily say um because I do think his game’s interesting he’s a more than capable three-point shooter he’s great around the rim he’s very athletic uh he can go up and get some really tough rebounds for you he’s getting you eight eight rebounds a game

On a team with a bunch of other seven-footers that he shares the court with like the turnover State pretty consistent but why why does no one want him on his team we don’t know but there are a couple teams that I think he could help

First team I’m going to bring up is the Pistons just cuz I think the Pistons would be dumb enough to actually make this trade and give up maybe too much to get him but I think adding some more Talent on the team would be beneficial someone that can go get you some buckets

Right that’s a yeah that’s a two thank you ref but um he he’s he is a capable shooter and they need some shooting right a guy that can run some pick and roll with Cade would be great someone that they could still have uh during in the dunker spot for someone to get

Isaiah Stewart out of the starting lineup just uh they need more competent basketball on this team uh kind of like what we touched on uh earlier the Pistons are just in this spot where they need to be better like something needs to happen and maybe John Collins is a

Lowrisk way of doing that if they don’t have to give up too much for him and it’s not like they’re really paying anybody else so throw John Collins on the roster hopefully things get better the other team I had down is the Pacers again just because they could use a

Power forward and I I could see that working again are you willing to give up uh jerus Walker to get him cuz it probably is just like him and a pick or something you could probably make it happen is what I would imagine and if

You’re the Pacers fan I don’t know he he he’s a step up of Obby toppen right but Obi toppin has been a nice player for them this year so I don’t know if you really want to be taking minutes away from him especially when there’s like effort questions on this team that seems

To be jelling really well right now uh that’s that’s the biggest question for Collins right is how does he fit in culturally right like is is he the defensive player that you want does he continue to build these young teams that he’d go to it’s hard to say all right

Next up on the list is Colin seon seon a former lottery pick by the Cavs um we’ve seen how good he can be offensively in the NBA I mean even if we just look down here right uh you see rookie season given he was on a team that wasn’t very

Good 16 points a game up to 20 up to 24 points a game right uh 16 14 points 14 points 14 points given now since he’s gotten to Utah he hasn’t quite had the opportunity that he did in Cleveland to be a score but we all know he’s a

Legitimate NBA scorer the defense is always what’s been kind of the question for him despite those clips of him going like crazy uh it seems like the efforts there defensively but the results aren’t always there so I think that that’s part of the downside of a Colin ston he also

Hasn’t really proven to be much of a playmaker the assist turnover ratio kind of like H and you know he he’s he’s a very sporadic player like there’s not a legitimate spot that he’s always trying to get to on the court right there hasn’t been a lot of consistency

Nobody’s been able to really reel his game in to tell you like hey this is the type of score that he is like if I told you to Define Colin seon’s game offensively I don’t think you probably could and I think that’s what scares people a little bit nonetheless though

The dude gets buckets and look at this scoring chart of the last game he played and um this is a very good representation of what you get with Colin seon it’s a lot of just everywhere right like it’s it’s interesting like sometimes he’s in the corner cuz someone

Else is handling the ball right sometimes he has the ball and he’s trying to get to the rim but he’s not always the best finisher right so what what is Colin seon scoring wise um but as far as teams that I think he could go

To um I’m again going to bring up the Wolves I just thinks they would give him the opportunity that he’s been looking for with uh some refined players around him where he could just he can just go score when Edwards is off the court seon’s on the court just let him go to

Work I don’t think it’s going to cost too much to get him either I just I’d love to see him on there and I I just want to see the timber rules continue to be good um I live in Minnesota right now I’m not a Minnesota fan but I I just

Like the the roster that they’ve kind of put together I love ant um I I just I enjoy his game a lot so I’d like to see them improve because their bench is just so rough right now so throw sexon in I think that’d be interesting the other

Team I think about is the Wizards more so and wizards fans I’m sorry you have to watch this team this year I’m very sorry it’s it’s gross it’s just gross but you know what if you’re going to be gross take a flyer on a young point guard

Right you don’t really have a true point guard on this team that you really care that much about this year we love tus Jones a lot but trade tus and get something else send him somewhere where he can compete right hell send him back to Minnesota right like they would love

To have him back there they love tyus Jones in Minnesota and I know he’s from here and everything him and Trey but yeah like why not give him a shot right like y’all ain’t doing anything this year anyway see if you can’t unlock that 20 point a game score again so those are

The two teams I see for ston all right last one we’re going to look at here which is someone that I feel like a lot of people forget about is Kelly o lenck if we take a look at Kelly o lenck this season uh they kind of missed their

Window of probably having the best opportunity to trade him uh they were really trying to make it work last year with the Kelly linck Lowry Markin and Walker Kessler thing and it wasn’t like bad but it wasn’t like great either and we all know that’s not I don’t I just

Don’t think that’s productive I don’t think that’s helping like Walker Kessler grow I don’t think that’s helping marinan uh find his role and now they’re kind of doing the same thing with John Collins which while better is still not good so anyway they kind of missed their opportunity because now Kelly oen

Doesn’t play nearly as much but you’re still getting like good productivity uh obviously the attempts are down and everything because everything is down like other people are taking the shots and taking his minutes but you’re still getting a very productive Kelly o linic that’s still rebounding the ball still a

Underrated playmaker can still shoot from the outside like this is a valuable big man that could be helpful to a lot of teams some of the teams I think of I think of the Pelicans since Larry Nance doesn’t seem like he’s coming back necessarily anytime soon you could throw

Him in as a backup center there I think the Thunder the Thunder just need some sort of Center on the team it’s not going to cost a ton to get him they have a ton of resources bring o tough airball there uh take him on for the year have

Another floor spacer you need as many floor spacers as you can get around all of these guys like the Jaylen Williams the Dort the Shays the GES guys like that right just another player right uh Denver I could see him being a backup center there Zeke naj’s kind of been a

Little bit off and on for them there Kelly o Linux just a better option there and I feel like the nuggets are missing like that real physical presence on their team like they’re kind of missing like that that I don’t want to call him

A bad boy it’s not like a boy band but like I feel like Kelly o lenck would bring them a little attitude that they’re missing a little bit of toughness um and then the last team I’m thinking of is the heat uh he just seems like a heat culture guy doesn’t he like

Throw him in there uh he’s probably a better option than a Thomas Bryant or something or something else a better look or a different look add another floor spacer right just have a little more size on the team so if something happens to Kevin Love or something right

Um I could see him fitting in there yeah at the end of the day the Jazz are looking to move some of these guys and that’s cuz they want to give some minutes to Taylor Hendrick that hasn’t gotten to play much right the tailon Horton Tuckers Keon George looks like he

Can be a nice playmaker in this league right I mean I’m just I’m looking around at some of the other guys in this roster right like Walker Kessler’s obviously a guy uh aaji right he’s another one um there there’s some guys that you want to

Give some tick to on this team and this team’s not going anywhere right now at least try and get the Assets Now draft some players down the line this isn’t maybe the draft to do so but they’ve got some players that teams want you don’t
