    RJ Barrett sucks. Quickleys pretty good though, but you’re getting back one of the worse contracts in the league in rj so I’m expecting like 3 firsts at least here

    Overpay, great trade for raptors IQ will a star like when brunson and markanen, he will have a lot of minutes and touches on this raptors team. Will be a trade we gonna say “why knicks did that trade” fleece by raptors

    Didn’t really want to trade for him and give him the big contract, when he really hasn’t done much

    Offensively, was never that good and defensively, I think he’s fallen off from last year

    Damn I don’t think Morey thought OG was gonna get traded. RJ sucks. Knicks gave up nothing for the best two way role player in the league. Hopefully we’ll get him in free agency.

    Not really a fan of Barrett, but I will say that you guys can’t have it both ways; you can’t say the Knicks overpaid, AND RJ is a terrible player/contract.

    Anyways, this takes OG off the board, and since the Knicks have his Bird rights now (I think), this gives them the inside lane to re-sign him in the offseason too. Not great, but not the end of the world. Quickley is definitely gone as an option, assuming the Raptors will match any offer this summer and make him their guard for the future.

    All in all, our lack of young players will be an interesting hurdle in trade talks. Picks are good for rebuilding teams, but most of the honest-to-god rebuilding teams don’t have anyone of much merit to us. Most front offices want someone semi-proven to sell to fans and the team owner.

    Feels like a zero sum trade for me. Neither the Knicks nor Raptors significantly improved with this trade 🤷‍♂️

    So OG ends up going for one good player and a negative contract after chatter of Masai asking for 3-4 1st’s. I’d say this is good for negotiations for Caruso and other players we’ve been linked to whose market seems a bit overpriced

    Much better trade for Toronto than NY. IQ, Scottie, and Siakim are a pretty good trio. The Raptors haven’t had a real PG since Lowrie.

    I’m guessing we were never seriously engaged on OG if this is all Toronto got for him. I just don’t understand how Masai has been willing to let guys walk for nothing and when he finally trades one of them it’s for *this* package

    How about something like Siakam/Schroeder for Harris/Covington + whatever picks it takes to get that done?
