The Miami Heat CAN’T Keep Getting Away With This…

Yo what’s going on y’all it’s con back here again today with another episode of after the buzzer the show where I recap the NBA games from the night and it was a ridiculous slate you had crazy historic performances from joic halber and Anthony Edwards amongst others you

Had the Celtics Pistons game which went to overtime as the Celtics were undefeated at home the best team in the league so far but the Pistons were doing everything possible scraping CLA trying not to lose another game and continue this streak that was a really really fun

Game to watch people were treating it like the NBA Finals we’ll talk about that a little bit later but the team I want to focus the majority of on this video is a team that I’ve been meaning to make a video about for a while now I

Wasn’t a big believer in them coming into the season I felt like they were going to take a bit of a step back after a really really successful season last year but instead they’re again really good despite being decimated by injuries rarely having their star players in the lineup together and they just

Continuously find ways to prove me wrong as well as the rest of the world because to me they just don’t make any sense so we’ll talk about about that in a moment but first leave a like And subscribe if you enjoy hit the notification Bell so

You don’t miss out future videos and as always we love to hear your takeaways Down Below in the comments let’s get started with Heat versus Warriors the dubs come into this one having won five out of their last six games and are seemingly finding their footing at this

Point in the season it’s been really up and down for them in the early going they’ve got a lot of guys that have been struggling Klay Thompson has kind of found his footing as of late Wiggins still cannot buy a bucket Steph Curry has been really good for a majority of

The season but there are some games where he’s been a bit Hit or Miss you’ve had young players come into the rotation out of the rotation Draymond Green is still not playing because of his suspension it’s been a weird year for the Warriors but recently they’ve again

Found their footing won five out of their last six games and in this one they were at home had everybody but Draymond playing and they were facing a Heat team that was missing Jimmy Butler Josh Richardson and Caleb Martin all three guys who are Staples of the

Rotation the heat went out there with the starring lineup of RJ Hampton Tyler hero haime hakz Haywood heith and Bam Ed AO I believe they were eight-point underdogs coming into Golden State for this game where the Warriors are above 500 on the season it felt like another

Chance for the Warriors to get a win and continue their push back up the Western Conference standings but of course that was not the case if it was the case wouldn’t be making this video instead the heat went ahead and beat the dubs very very comfortably in this one 114 to

102 it’s the lowest point total the Warriors have scored since they played the timberl back on November 14th the heat LED in this one by double digits for the last about 18 minutes of the game or so and led by as much as 22 points in the the fourth quarter they

Thoroughly kind of decimated the Warriors in this game again without three Staples in the rotation including Jimmy Butler against a team that was recently rolling was at home and was very heavily favored coming into the game I’d say it was an impressive win but to be honest I just kind of expect

Stuff like this from the heat at this point you could send them into a hostile environment facing one of the best teams of all time with just the five guys at the bottom of their bench and Eric spoler as a player coach as their six-man and they’d probably still find a

Way to win comfortably by 10 14 points the heat are an enigma of a squad and Golden State isn’t great but the heat made them look feeble without again three of their main State rotation guys including their best player in Jimmy Butler and to be honest that’s just kind

Of been the story of their season with this win they moved to 19- 12 on the year sitting at the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference just a few games back of the three- seated Sixers despite being probably in fact I think factually the most injured team in the entire

League so far through these first 31 games that Miami has played Jimmy Butler has missed eight games Bamba too has missed 11 Caleb Martin has missed 11 Haywood heith has missed 12 Tyler Hero has missed 19 those are some of their top rotation guys and their three stars

Their big three Jimmy Butler Bama to Bion Tyler hero have only played together for six out of the 31 games so far this season and they’re still right on the verge of a top three spot in the Eastern Conference so far them being able to constantly survive and win tough

Games despite their Stars not playing is a big Testament to their depth this season which has been just completely fantastic one of the top guys for for them so far this season has been haime hawz who I like coming into the draft he felt kind of like a Heat player when

They took him I’m like yeah that makes sense just a gritty player who doesn’t have the flashiest game out there but he’s got solid footwork great fundamentals he was a multi-year college guy so he was a more of established rookie rather than being you know a 19-year-old a 20-year-old he had some

Experience he had fundamentals down he felt like he could contribute to winning right away and that’s exactly what he’s done so far this season in this one 17 points five rebounds six assists one steal 7 to shooting he’s been great on both ends offensively he’s pretty efficient he doesn’t shoot a lot of

Threes but he knocks him down for the most part when it counts has just some of the best footwork out of any rookie I’ve seen so far this season a great pump fake that feels very Jimmy Butler ask in fact almost everything highi hawz does feels like a Jimmy Butler light

Player out there whether it’s the pump fakes it’s the mid-range jumpers it’s the way he attacks the basket the way he finishes Everything feels very Jimmy Butler esque I don’t know if he’s modeled his game after him but even some of the mannerisms I feel like I’m watching a younger Jimmy Butler out

There at times I’m not saying he’s going to get to that point but just having a player that can fill that kind of role and give teams problems in the same way is a huge luxury for this Heat team to have and over the past few games he’s

Been putting it together at an even higher level putting up 22.3 points per game 7.3 boards and 2.3 assists to go with 1.3 Steals on 57 44 87 splits including that 310 game on Christmas where they went ahead and took down the Philadelphia 76ers he’s been a top five

For three maybe even rookie up to this point he was the perfect addition to this team to their starting lineup and he stepped in right away I had some concerns about their depth but I guess I just didn’t realize how good haime Hawkin Jr was going to be from the

Get-go he’s been an Iron Man for them so far too I don’t believe missing any games up to this point just consistently putting together great performances in the absence of stars haime hakz is the big reason they’ve been so successful so far despite the injuries but he’s nowhere near the only guy who’s

Contributed in a big way Duncan Robinson struggled in this game but on the season is was putting up 15 points three rebounds and three assists while shooting 45% from Deep on seven attempts per game a few years ago after they gave him this big contract he was considered

As having one of the worst contracts in the entire league but really ever since that great playoff run he had last year Duncan Robinson has kind of found new life he’s found a new role and he’s been excellent in that role Josh Richardson who also did not play tonight has been

Really good with 10 points 2.7 boards three dimes the shooting hasn’t been fantastic you definitely want that number to come up a little bit but it’s been fine enough so far the defense is great he’s a great connecting piece great cutter he just does kind of some

Of the little things for this Heat team that has so many guys that fill that role they have so many players who go ahead just make the right plays and Josh Richardson is one of those guys it’s a big reason why they find ways to be successful despite not having as much

Talent as so many other teams Haywood heith another great example of that just highle Defender that gives him six points a night he doesn’t have to do too much just goes ahead knocks a couple of shots locks up and that’s all they need from him Kevin Love 37% of his threes

This season 9.3 points per game Kyle Lowry is producing at a pretty solid level 9.4 points per game and 4.1 assists while shooting 44% from Deep Caleb Martin is still a key role player 11 points five boards 2.3 assists not to mention you have Knights where a guy

Like Jamal Kane who has only played nine games so far this season doesn’t play a lot in those appearances is nowhere near a staple of their rotation but he comes into this game because of injuries and goes out there and outplays Steph Curry in Golden state had 18 points five rebounds six assists

Eric spoler is a wizard he could take a player who has never even heard of the game of basketball has never dribbled before has never worn a uniform doesn’t even know the rules and you give them like an off season with that player and spoler is going to turn them into a

Contributor in the rotation a guy that can step up and give you like a 10 five and five game in the playoffs against like the bucks or the Celtics at some point I don’t know how he does it he’s an all-time coaching Talent has to win a

Coach of the year at some point the way that he’d have been playing so far despite the injuries he’s one of my top candidates for the award I don’t know if he’ll ever actually get it but it’s time we recognize Eric spala is not just the

Best coach in the league right now but one of the best coaches of all time it doesn’t make sense the players do deserve a lot of credit but again you could just give him pretty much anybody and I’m pretty confident he’ll turn them into a solid role player so the depth

Has been fantastic and the Stars when they’re actually playing have also been really good Hero has been great since coming back from injury recently he had 2672 and one on 10 of 18 shooting in this game he’s leading the Heat and scoring this season shooting 42.7% from

Deep it seems like he might have taken some of the trade rumors and discussions he was in this off season a little bit personally feels like he’s on a revenge tour he’s been fantastic if he keeps playing like this he won’t make it into the allstar game but he’s going to have

That allar type of buzz by the time February rolls around Bama deio is having his best season so far 22 points 10 boards and four assists playing aggressively he had 1711 and four tonight still giving you his gamechanging some of the best in the world type defense as well and Jimmy

Butler despite dealing with a lot of injury this season 21 a half points per game 5.2 boards 4.6 assists and 1.1 steals while shooting 46 37 88 splits he’s been fantastic and you know when he gets to the playoffs he’s going to level it up like 14 notches so despite losing

Two big time contributors in their playoff run in the off season dealing with the most injuries in the league rarely ever having their stars together the heat are the four seed they’re the 13th ranked offense 14th ranked defense they don’t do anything fantastic but they’re just consistently solid on both

Ends it doesn’t matter who they lose in the off season how rough things look at that point they just find ways to make it work it is that heat culture as much as that term has been overused at this point by the way still hate the heat

Culture jerseys but it is a real thing they’ve got great coaching they’re just a really well-run organization I still do think they need another star to get over the hump and be a championship winning team like obviously from last year you see that they can find ways to

Make it to the finals but to get over the hump and actually win the title I think they are going to need another star at some point but regardless they are a tough out in the playoffs I don’t think any team wants to face the Miami

Heat if you can avoid it because even if you make it out of the series they’re going to make you really work for it three or four role players are going to have the best series of their lives against you because that’s just the way that it happens the heat R are a

Completely confusing team but one that has proved me wrong again they don’t make sense but I don’t think they ever really will as for the Warriors like I kind of alluded to earlier pretty much nobody had it going in this one Steph Curry three of 15 shooting Klay Thompson

Four of 11 Wiggins four of 11 as well they missed a bunch of layups Trace Jackson Davis it felt like missed like four or five layups in this game they had some pretty easyish looks from Deep just couldn’t knock him down they didn’t have it and they were very visibly

Frustrated after the game sitting on the bench between Steph between clay they fall game back below 500 they just have not had a good season whatsoever I thought their offseason they did enough to maintain at least being a playoff team but so far they haven’t looked the

Part of it and if they miss the playoffs that’s a massive disappointment for them this season the other game I want to go in- depth into before rapid fire coverage is Celtics versus Pistons I talked about in the intro this game was being treated like game seven of the NBA

Finals on the timeline everybody was live tweeting it people were freaking out and a lot of that was because this was probably the best game the Pistons have played all streak and it felt like for even just a moment that the Pistons might actually pull this off they went

Up by as much as 21 points in the first half and a lot of that was because they gave Kate Cunningham actual lineups that kind of worked hey who knew that if you gave K Cunningham actual spacing out there and not two three big men at times

They’re going to play better who knew if you gave Jaden Ivy one of your better players big minutes you’d be playing better he thrived the two of them looked fantastic operating the offense they had shooting around them the game opened up and the Pistons were playing really well

In that first half unfortunately for them though in the second half the Celtics kind of remembered how to play basketball they were missing wide open threes a lot of the time just kind of looked flustered out there maybe they were thinking about hey what if we’re

The team that loses to the Pistons but in the second half they put it together mainly drick white and christops porzingis porzingis finishes this game with 35 points eight boards and one assist on 62% shooting just completely shooting over anybody the Pistons put on him drik White had 23 points four

Rebounds and five assists on 60% shooting trying to build up this allar case that a lot of people have been talking about for him this season Tatum finished the game with 31 points seven boards 10 assists and five steals but he did shoot just 11 of 31 a lot of very

Ill-advised shots a lot of frustrating fadeaway mid-range jumpers threes that weren’t really necessary at the end of this game the game went to overtime actually like I talked about in the intro because Boo magd donovich had a huge putback layup and then on the other end Jason Tatum takes this really

Contested fadeaway mid-range jumper for the win doesn’t go down it wasn’t the worst look in the world I don’t know I just feel like whenever the Celtics get to these clutch Time moments where they’ve got a chance to either send it to Overtime or hit a gamewinner they

Always go for these really difficult Fade Away mid-range jumpers or fadeaway threes rather than trying to get a guy downhill get to the basket I don’t know why they didn’t give it to christops who was Unstoppable in this fourth quarter this game is a whole there was nobody on

The Pistons who could stop him he was just shooting over literally everybody give him the ball and see what can happen I understand Jason tum is your top guy your best player but I would have liked to see them give porzingis a chance in that moment however game goes

To overtime and the Celtics kind of dominate inot the Pistons just ran out of gas Kate Cunningham played I think every single minute of the second half and overtime and does finish with 31 points six rebounds nine assists three Steals and two blocks Ivy had 22 10 and

Four Duran had 15 and 14 they had some good performances from some of their guys they did their best but the Pistons do fall for I believe a 29th or 28th at this point strike game they face off against the Toronto Raptors one last game to try and get a win before the

Year ends I don’t know if they’re going to do it I will say this game felt somewhat promising the fact that they battled the Celtics again this was probably their best game of the losing streak they could have just rolled over and said hey Boston is really good we’re

Playing them in TD Garden where they haven’t lost at all this season you know maybe we’ll get the Raptors instead they went right at them they gave them a challenge and at the end of the game the Pistons did have a couple of leads they hit some big shots just got outworked by

The better team I have become more confident that they’ll win at some point soon although it also feels like every narrow chance that they miss they kind of missed an opportunity so I don’t know how many of those they’re going to get we’ll see how long the losing streak

Continues one guy who was terrible in this game was Alec Burks he has been awful All Season 413 from Deep felt like he was just chucking up the most random shots out there moving three stepback threes highly contested looks it didn’t matter who was on the court like Kate

Cunningham was on fire at some points and Alec Burks is like oh I’m going to go ahead and Chuck up a momentum killing three which he’s been doing all season but in these games where they’ve got a chance they just cannot afford those moments also Monty Williams in the third

Quarter when the Celtics won this massive run just didn’t call a timeout he waited until the Celtics got it to a one-point game before finally calling the timeout when it felt like he could have done it so much earlier try to slow the momentum just constant miscues left

And right for the Pistons that prevent them from getting wins they’re not just on the verge of breaking the all-time losing streak for an NBA team across multiple Seasons they’re on the verge of breaking the alltime record for the worst losing streak in the history of

North American Pro Sports if they get to 30 they will have broken that record which is honestly kind of impressive let’s go ahead and Rapid Fire the rest of these games Minnesota takes down the Dallas Mavericks due to a 4434 and three game from Anthony Edwards on 12 of 23

Shooting he was unbelievable one of the best games of his career so far especially in the regular season the Mavericks did their best without Luca or Kyrie in the lineup to keep this game kind of close it was closer than I thought it was going to be but didn’t

Have enough juice Tim Hardway Jr had 32 Off the Bench but when you don’t have those top two guys in the lineup and Anthony Edwards is just eviscerating you it’s going to be hard to get wins tyres Halbert has a monster game for Indiana one of the better games of his career 21

Points three boards 20 assists two Stills and a block with six threes and not a single turnover I believe I saw a stat that it’s the first ever 2020 game without a turnover in NBA history might be wrong on that but I’m pretty sure it

Was a stat I read he is absurd one of the best offensive players and especially Playmakers in the league right now for the Nuggets yic puts up a typical stat line of his 26 14 and 10 with two blocks but he did so in this

One on a perfect 11 of 11 shooting they annihilated the Memphis Grizzlies without John Morant joic just continues to find new ways to look like the best player in basketball Victor wanyama also decided to get in on the unbelievable career performances tonight 30 points six rebounds and six assists with seven

Blocks on 9 of4 shooting just eviscerating the Portland tril Blazers at every turn he was unbelievable huge shout to him as he makes a little bit of a claim in the Rookie of the Year race Lakers blow out the Hornets behind 26822 and four from Anthony Davis on 11 of 19

Shooting and the Pelicans beat the Utah Jazz behind 26 points from Brandon Ingram 22 from CJ McCullum and a 211 and8 near triple double from Zion Williams with all that being said those are my takeaways from these games let me know Down Below in the comments what

Your thoughts were and also let me know what you think about this Miami Heat team do you think they have enough to go on another Deep Run where would you put them right now in the hierarchy of Eastern Conference teams and do you agree with me that they need another

Star to finally get over the hump and win in NBA Finals I appreciate youall watching leave a like And subscribe if you enjoyed hit the notification Bell so you don’t miss out future videos I’ll see youall later real one sa back

The Miami Heat went on an impossible run in last year’s playoffs going from an eight seed to the NBA Finals where they eventually fell to the Denver Nuggets. In the offseason they tried to get Damian Lillard but failed while also losing Max Strus and Gabe Vincent in the offseason. It felt like the Heat would still be good, but would likely take a bit of a step back. Instead, the Heat have found their way to a top four spot in the Eastern Conference despite a ton of injuries to some of their top guys like Jimmy Butler, Tyler Herro, and Bam Adebayo as roleplayers like Jaime Jaquez Jr, Duncan Robinson, and Josh Richardson are stepping up in their absence. Somehow, the Heat are doing it again. Let’s talk about it.

  1. I think why people count out the heat is not because people expect them to be terrible. It’s cuz whenever they get to the finals they can’t win. The fact that they lost in 5 to the Nuggets AND the west is so much better than last year doesn’t give a lot of people faith them

  2. Triple J is flashy. You haven’t seen enough games. His dribble and passing freezes defenders. He’s a show on the fastbreak. Not a vanilla game at all.

  3. And the scary thing is that we have no idea whether or not they are playing beneath themselves during the regular season, making them a scary matchup in the playoffs as players like Caleb Martin, Jimmy and Herro who did not play in the playoffs last season could blow up in the points column

  4. Love the recognition to the Miami Heat – they deserve the props. It’s great to see content from people like you because the national media script is to ignore and downplay Miami.

  5. Heat Fan here, great video! Only thing I have to say is that Spo did in fact play basketball in college!

  6. The best thing for me as a Heat fan is during the entire off season the media said the Heat trade package for Dame was the worst of all time and yet pretty much everyone involved in that package has been hooping

  7. Bam Adebayo is so underrated, I sometimes even think he is the best player of the Heat and not Jimmy

  8. Jaime in college has said multiple times Jimmy was his favorite player. I’m so happy that we’re finally getting the recognition before the playoffs 😂

  9. Bam is the most underrated player ever. What he does off the ball is so huge for Miami. When he misses games, u can clearly see how their defense struggles

  10. The HEAT are the BEST team in the L…They're DEEPER and BETTER than THEY were LAST year…ONCE Jimmy, Bam AND Tyler GET consistent GAMES with EACH other THIS team IS going to BE a MONSTER!!!!

  11. The rest of the NBA and their cronies like Woj desperately wanted to make the Heat lose by denying them Lillard and his $65 million dollar salary when he's 37 years old. Saying all our assets suck after we just made the Finals. We even offered them the steal of the draft and probably rookie of the year. At the end of it all, Miami will still be a legit NBA franchise and Portland will continue to be a joke that is still located in one of the worst cities in America.

  12. Bro heat culture smh 🤦‍♂️ they find players that fit their agenda 😂consistency is key. If we didn’t have the herro injury who knows what could’ve happened last year

  13. What people don't talk about enough with regards of Coach spo and the heat organization as a whole. The first year with out Bosh and Wade on the team they started the season 10-31 or 11-30 for get the exact number but they finished the second half of the season with the exact opposite record finishing with a 41-41 record. Missing the playoffs by like 1 game. Forgot what year this was. But the biggest part of that was coaching. The players on that team were horrendous and look what Coach spo and the organization did with them. Another reason why I mention this, any team in the NBA would of tanked for a better draft pick at that point of 11-30 record. But not Miami! They competed with the goal to reach the playoffs, saying F that draft pick lets compete for a championship no matter what. That takes true grit and tenacity!

  14. We need to talk about the "proven" players they refuse to pay and let the lakers pay only for them to be unplayable cuz of injuries. Im suspicious about that after Nunn and Vincent

  15. The heat vs nuggets in the finals was so boring. Bucks and Celtics took the heat lightly. Giannis would've destroyed jokic in the finals. The heat has no answer for him, do the math. I want to see good basketball, not a bunch of players that try hard lol I want to see talent and dominance
