I think the guys that have been here are just tired of losing.

We also have a lot of dudes that are quiet

  2. EarthWarping

As an aside, Pascal isn’t a vocal guy. He’s a leader, but he’s not that vocal guy, and thaat’s fine.

  3. Organic_Prompt_2069

we havent had a leader since the kyle and demar days to stray the course

  4. Anyone know what he’s talking about?

He keeps saying they have to trust in Darko’s system, but they don’t have the shooters to make it work. They are forced to play Boucher as a spot up shooter and put Pascal in the corner. The system doesn’t generate good looks. Im just lost on how he thinks they should be playing.

This is the second time he’s said something like this. The first time was about “once everybody buys in”.

Darko definitely tried his best to bring the team together. But to be honest he was put in a pretty awful situation being a rookie head coach. He doesn’t command enough respect based upon his track record and he didn’t have a team full of young players to grow with. Dennis is trying to show leadership and trying to foster some accountability with his statements. It’s clear that this team has locker room issues that have continued to spill over from last season which is undermining any efforts Darko and Dennis have attempted. I think ultimately the sad thing is that it really didn’t take much to break this team as they were around .500 20 games into the season and have cratered since to be possibly the worst team in the NBA after tonight’s loss.

All of these interpersonal issues should have been dealt with during the off-season.

Anyone else notice at the start of the game Scottie didn’t give Dennis dabs? Dennis looked quite pissed. A minute before jump ball if you want to see it again…. (If you have the courage to see that game again…)

Darko can’t even bring good vibes. So why we fire NN?

  9. Scottie is young and has that mentality where if you show props to someone too much you’re “meat riding” (see that video of his reaction to a fan of LeBron). Once he stops being self-conscious things might get better. Young guys tend to take themselves too seriously and are self-conscious of looking uncool.

I think he’s pointing out the difference between successful teams and unsuccessful teams. Chemistry.
Hard to argue with Germany’s run in the summer or with his play as Tournament MVP.
The problem is they make the team competitive enough to keep the interest of the fanbase. Really they are just waiting for other teams to sell low and steal a trade or two.
Every player has been on the trade block besides Scottie.
Feels like everyone is trying out for a spot on another team.
It’s hard for them to be a cohesive unit when everyone’s waiting for the shoe to drop.
This team was constructed to lose. That’s why they’re losing.
I expect Dennis to be gone to a contender by the deadline to play in meaningful games. This roster dump ain’t over.

Did anyone see pascal not jump on that ball when gtj stripped it I think it’s subliminal

  12. TJStrawberry

The team is full of guys who aren’t vocal leaders. Poeltl, pascal, GTJ all seem to be quiet type of personalities – which is OK but you do need the vocal leader with good interpersonal communication skills to build chemistry amongst everyone. That combined with losing = bad vibes

Interesting to note that Schroeder and Quickley both have national team experience.

Maybe Masai is looking for that kind of energy.

  14. ButterscotchObvious4

Dennis is getting awfully close to the line of being booted out.

  15. firestonemountain

He knows he’s pissed cuz he will be playing behind the starting line up rj/quick

He said it was his team and time to shine for him to be the starting pg

  16. Phenomenal2313

During the Lowry/DeMar and Lowry/Kawhi duos, Deebo and Kawhi were the more quiet type of leaders

It was very obvious Lowry was the vocal leader

  17. CalligrapherSure4165

How does airing these issues out to the media help the team grow closer? I’m also baffled at the fact that this is coming from a point guard who has been taking an undue amount of shots all season…
