It feels like we’re just right back where we started with Kevin n doesn’t it he is now in a situation in Phoenix that is eerily similar to where he was in Brooklyn and we kind of know all that right but it’s interesting to think about why he’s here how did he get back

Forced a trade to Phoenix in the first place and coming into the season I was pretty excited about the Sun I could see this this version of the team where beo and Booker and Durant all play really well and they resemble that net team of Harden Kyrie and KD I could see that

Vision and they did pretty well in terms of the role players that they brought in in free agency I didn’t love the eight and trade but I could see why they would want to have nerkish I could see the vision in terms of what Phoenix was trying to be and obviously they have

Underperformed this year they have been basically an average team be has missed a ton of games basically all of the games and this has been in spite of the fact that Kevin Durant has been a amazing this season like you can talk about chemistry and body language and

Morale and all that but statistically on the floor both ends of the floor KD has been awesome like he’s shooting the best percentage of his career from three he’s defending well he’s everywhere for this team yet they’re still not very good and obviously time will still tell we’re

Still waiting on Bradley be to get healthy when those three guys are together I still think that they’re going to be a really difficult team to deal with offensively but it’s interesting how similar this situation is to what he had in Brooklyn despite the fact that he forced his way to

Phoenix as well as this aidea that maybe this is just kind of what his career was meant to be because from a basketball perspective in terms of Kevin Durant wanting to be in the best situation for his skill set to win titles to be in a in a good happy onc Court situation

Golden state was always the place for him to be it’s the reason that he went to the Warriors in the first place and him leaving the Warriors had nothing to do with how he felt the team was going to be over the next couple of years what

Their future looked like had he stayed in Golden State they probably would have won you know at least one more title and still be really really good good right now and I think everybody is thankful that he did end up leaving Golden State we all know the reason why that he left

He wanted more credit he won those two titles and basically nobody cared that he won them and he wanted to to build his own team to be the guy on a championship team and so he goes to Brooklyn and he basically builds the team himself he’s heavily involved in

Personnel decisions he gets to basically get whatever he wants including overpaying DeAndre Jordan and paying him over Jared Allen including forcing the team to make the Harden trade when they were kind of on the fence and iffy about it and then of course including requesting and forcing his way out and

Ending up in Phoenix and it’s interesting the path that Kevin Durant’s career has taken because from a basketball perspective golden state was the best situation from a legacy perspective Oklahoma city was the best situation assuming that he could you know win a title or two or do you know

Perform really well in Oklahoma city that was the best Legacy situation because it’s it’s a team with no history in Oklahoma City it’s a team that he basically builds himself and he is Oklahoma City Thunder basketball and if he stays there for his entire career wins a couple of titles with or without

Without R however they get that situation figured out his career is looked on I think much more favorably than it is right now but he decides to go away from the best basketball situation and the best Legacy situation and go on and start these new chapters in both Brooklyn and Phoenix and there’s

A couple of different things that are going to work against Kevin Durant into the future for his career one of course is the fact that he went to Golden State in the first place as well as you know requesting the trades or forcing the trades and all this stuff but also just

There’s not that many all-time great players that have been on this many teams in their Prime like typically you have an idea of okay this is what this guy looked like on this team or that team obviously LeBron has jumped around other guys like Charles Barkley were on

A ton of different teams but typically this isn’t a thing that happens for guys that you consider top 10 top 15 players of all time and I think Durant at this point has just penel in as someone that is not going to be ranked as highly all

Time as it seemed like he was going to be at the beginning of his career but the other part of that that no one really talks about is the injury stuff I mean he’s had multiple season ending injuries including of course the Achilles tear and he still managed to

Fight through all that stuff but when you account for how things went in Brooklyn with the Kyrie thing with him not playing and then Harden wanting out and then Kyrie witing out and then KD oneing out and then how things have started in Phoenix and you and you add

That to the injury stuff as well it does start to feel like Kevin Durant’s career is just cursed which obviously isn’t the case but when you look at the situations that he left behind to try and do his own thing and start a situation that he

Feels like he would get a lot of credit for in either Brooklyn or Phoenix it does make you wonder man I wish he would have just stayed in OKC I I I’m very glad that he didn’t stay in Golden State because I think the league would have

Been pretty boring relative to how it’s been over the last couple of Seasons but him and OKC would have been super super fun but then as we bring it back to this season with Phoenix obviously it doesn’t make sense to just judge this team based

Off the first 30 to 35 games of the year uh they still have an opportunity to turn it around their team is obviously built around having be Booker and Durant all on the floor at the same time together but it’s interesting because they didn’t really give up that much in

Terms of on the floor in exchange for Bradley Beal so had they not made the beal trade or had Beal not requested a trade or had he not had a no trade clause to be able to basically Force his way to Phoenix this is what the team

Would have looked like what they are right now without be obviously there’s Chris Paul and there’s a couple of other you know factors in this equation but for the most part this is what the team would have looked like and it’s interesting how inept that they have

Are bad is because he’s there is because for example for Phoenix they had to trade all this stuff to get him he forced his way to a team with a vision in mind of obviously he wanted to play with Deon Booker but I’m sure at least

Part of him thought man Phenix has this has this team that is built for a Star to be there kind of similar to how Brooklyn was when he got there yet obviously they were going to have to get rid of some guys in order to trade for

Him and what it ended up being was all of the guys it was literally just him and Booker left over and then Brooklyn you know it’s hard to fault him a ton for how that went apart from attaching himself to Kyrie and James Harden two of the most unreliable stars that we’ve had

In the last decade and a half in the NBA and Kevin Durant has been apart from injuries pretty dependable and apart from leaving for Golden State and then request in a trade to Phoenix pretty Dependable in terms of like night toight he’s going to Care he’s going to want to

Be out there um and he just attached himself to the wrong two guys and those were his decisions like make no mistake about it Brooklyn wasn’t super excited about bringing in Kyrie Irving on a Max contract because he was had he had already had issues with Boston before

That he was just he was a bit of an enigma as a player and they brought him in because they wanted KD and 100 out of 100 times you do that but it’s not like they were like yes we’re going to get Kyrie and I honestly don’t think that

Kevin R is an example of an incredible player that just made some bad choices and he made some mistakes in terms of how the Brooklyn thing went leaving for Golden State in the first place I think if you asked him and you gave him truth serum and you’re like hey do you wish
