[Hine] Anthony Edwards on Jordan McLaughlin: “It’s the same shit. He’s always ready when his number’s called. No matter how many games he miss or how many times he don’t play, he’s always ready. It didn’t surprise me tonight.”

  1. This dude remind me of Jalen Brunson when he was in Dallas, i am new following the Timberwolves (started follow more carefully after the Rudy’s trade). That dude look like a really good PG, he obviously not as long for defense but he hustle and play hard.

Ofc he cant swap on Center or big 4s that’s a big problem on the defence but offensively he’s 50x more smooth than Slowmo or Miller.

He just enjoyable to watch run around

  2. This is what gives me pause with Tyus. JMAC kinda does a lot of things Tyus does too

It’s crazy how bad he was in the playoffs last year glad to see him playing well again

If JMac can continue to be a spark and hover around 35% from 3 then it could really shift the direction we go with the trade to look for more of a shooter over a backup PG.

Team has to be losing by 21 by 4 minutes left in the third before they try McLaughlin. This shiteating offense only had 61 points by then.

I didn’t get to watch the game earlier today. Only watching it now. I sat through that first, second, and in third now. While watching here tonight I was writing a rant post about this very issue while watching the start of the 3rd quarter seeing him not on the floor again. Didn’t even think he would get more than a minute at end of game. Looking at boxscore I’m to see he got a little more time. Too bad it wasn’t any earlier in the game.

Looking at box I see +13 in 12 second half minutes of a loss. 9 pts on 5 shots.

Mclaughlin enters when the score is 62 – 83 (21 pt difference)
You don’t end up +13 in 12 minutes of play if your lineup is shit on defense and not scoring on offense.

So he has the team back within 4 points of Knicks at 95-99 and then Towns misses a three and Ant has a turnover and Finch calls a Timeout with score at 95-103 to bring Conley in at 4:45 left. Wolves outscored Knicks during JMac’s 12 minute stretch by a 31-20 score difference.

    Game ends 106-112.

Jmac has looked wonderful in basically all of his minutes this year. He deserves more run. Finch’s post game comments sound like he might get it
