  1. I imagine he’ll be ok with his offensive role there with perennial all-d teams and probably an eventual dpoy lol

the amount of recognition already is hilarious and predictable, not seeing much more about how overrated he is because hes not doing hesi stepbacks. sucks for us and it’ll be the same for Siakam if hes traded

  2. Speaking as someone who is fan of OG as a player, I have never, and will never, watch a game to see him play

  3. OG is going to get wild player comparisions after he gets eyes on him in a deep play offs run and im here for it tbh. Lets go OG!

Honestly, I don’t know if this lessens the sting or twists the knife. He should’ve been getting attention while he was here, but he deserves every bit he’ll get now that he’s not.

I wish for two Raptors players to be featured by ESPN!!

    *Monkey paw curls*

this is what was best for his career! hopefully toronto can make themselves revenant again and our guys can get the coverage they deserve

New York is gonna love OG! Wishing him all the success! (except when they play us lol)

  8. I bet he gets DPOY and makes an All-Star team next season LOL

The American media now that OG is in New York:
“OG has become the best defender in the NBA and maybe the best defender to ever exist!”

    In Toronto:
“He’s a good defender, he should probably make an All Defensive 2nd team…”

He’s going to be the exact same player in New York as he was here, he was always the best defender in the league, this is nothing new to Raps fans BUT watch, it’s going to be pandemonium in New York “He’s taken his game to a new level” LOL I can’t wait…

Im happy he’s finally getting his due on a national level, but yea the increased attention is predictable lol

  10. askingJeevs

Happy for him, hope he finally gets the DPOY he deserves

I wonder if any of the talking heads outside of Canada will point this out.

“You know I have been high on OG Anunoby for years but now that he’s in NY we are all talking about him more”

‘Shut up Chuck nobody talkin about Toronto’

(although yes I am aware Chuck recently said “my fav team I will never watch again” because of our struggles, just wanted a familiar reference)

im just happy for him. thats the scarf prince forever a raptor.

We need to stop caring about this shit, we aren’t Americans lol

Toronto is a beautiful, world class city. If London, Paris, Tokyo or Milan had NBA teams, Americans wouldn’t care as much about them either. Just enjoy the coverage the raps get nationally here, in our own wonderful country lol

Methinks OG will shy away from the spotlight. Knicks management just wantS to scream “HEY LOOK! WE DIDNT SCREW UP THIS TIME!”.

  15. motherseffinjones

I already knew the second I saw the knicks we are gonna be hearing he is the best defender in the league a lot more now.
