I agree that the Klay washed allegations are overblown, but him being so high in attempts isn’t necessarily a good thing. If he can continue to limit his shot selection to more open looks like he did against the Magic, he can get his efficiency up even more and improve the team’s energy overall. I trust him to do it after yesterday’s huge game, Klay knows what it takes to win.

Klay’s numbers kinda always even out, but that doesn’t take away from his poor shot selection. He will literally shoot them out of a game, i.e., against the Kings in November.
Also, he gives up on defense. Yesterday was the exception. Before then, he would pout about a missed shot then Hardens someone right to the basket.
I can’t remember the game but I remember he gave up 4 straight points without any resistance. If Moody had done that we wouldn’t see him until April.

Hey that’s great, but just to point out, many of those other players pointed out with the black arrows also attack the rim and score effectively inside, hence why this look way different when just comparing overall eFG%.
Klay can’t get to the rim with ease, so he needs to be higher outside eFG% to be comparable, and most likely less volume to achieve that with greater shot selection.

I really don’t think we will ever see another shooter like Steph. Yes, he changed the game and there will be guys who come close in the future, but he has some type of freaky preternatural spatial awareness in addition to a lifetime of perfecting his craft that I just can’t imagine being replicated ever again.
