  1. Not panicking yet but our bad habits from last year rearing its ugly head is frustrating…

We look completely discombobulated right now in every way. Things look super wonky. I’m sure we’ll get back on track though. Also, shout out to ant for the emptiest 30 piece I’ve seen in a minute.

RIP not losing back-to-back games. Wolves are going through it right now man. That’s why stacking those wins early was so important.

We need another scoring option so badly. You can’t count on any consistent offense outside of Ant and you definitely can’t count on anything off the bench. The Pels having CJ as the 3rd option is exactly what the Wolves are missing.

It’s going to be interesting to see what Connelly can pull off to help with the scoring issues because I don’t see anything on our current roster helping.

Can a small move on the margin make enough of a difference or will Connelly swing big again?

  4. Make the whole team do a 12 hour darkness retreat tomorrow

  5. SteamyRay_Vaughn

Two straight losses was bound to happen. These boys will figure it out. What a start to the season! We have been spoiled with the excess of awooo

  6. No-Strawberry7814

Only lost by 11. No one will remember how bad this game was lol.

  7. PlayInChampions

Only second loss at home, cant be mad. Tough to overcome no offense and hot shooting by them.

At the same time, Leonard Miller scored 35/12/6 in G-League today, time to call him back.

  8. Andy_Wiggins

God, I forgot how insufferable the game threads can get when the team is losing.

  9. Monkey_D_eeezNuts

It’s a good thing that the Wolves are going through issues now while we reach the halfway point into this season.

Low key I feel like we looked better when NAW was starting when McDaniels was out. NAW brought energy and toughness from the jump which is something McDaniels doesn’t bring.

It’ll never happen but it would be interesting to see NAW with the starters and have McDaniels off the bench where he could be more of a scoring option as well.

  11. Bump Slo mo out of the rotation, there’s literally zero point of having his minutes when we are this out of sync offensively.

Give JMac extended minutes 20+ min, it’s very noticeable the impact he has on ball movement instantly.

And get Troy Brown back in the lineup, I’m begging, nice to see Shake look competent offensively in garbage time as well.

Also shocking ball hogging from our two stars down the stretch, the bench mob was a breath of fresh air of good offense after watching that drudge of a game.

  12. The offense just looks so off right now. And the defense is lapsing way too much. Time to start looking in the mirror for the players and coaches alike.

  13. HackWaters

Which team was on the 2nd game of a back to back. Guess.

  14. FishGoldenLite

It feels like they aren’t taking this seriously anymore. Like they can just coast on talent instead of grit and focus. There’s no way this group of players should be so careless and undisciplined…I don’t know if that’s a coaching issue or something else but they need to mature quickly and figure this out or they could start spiraling.

    Also…Jaden is becoming an issue.

  15. TreeAgenda

When their starters checked out they were around that 60% shooting mark. I think this is the fifth or sixth loss we’ve had to a team shooting around 60% or more. I can’t remember a time that’s happened in a 30 game window or so.

The guys need to realize they can’t sleepwalk into games anymore. We’re considered a top-tier team now and teams are heading into these matchups against us extra locked-in. The body language by both sides was clear as day tonight.

  16. I don’t understand Finches hesitancy to avoid just taking an L. The team clearly is not playing as well as they were and it’s a long season. Just take the L dude and move on. 0 reason Ant and KAT should be playing with 3 minutes left down 22.

  17. FiveByFive555555

You’ll have some off nights, even tough stretches, especially in this 16 game grind against winning teams. That said, the most concerning thing to me is the body language. There was a locked-in close-knit energy to this team early in the season. They look kinda deflated and disconnected now. There was a timeout in the 2nd quarter when this game was still in reach and they all came
to the bench, heads down, shoulders slumped, not talking to each other—like they’d already lost. Something seems off behind the scenes. I hope I’m wrong and we bounce back.

  18. Nah it’s ride or die, we’ll be nice next game. It’s time…

That random chode with his false “ThEy dO tHIs EvErY yEaR” can get lost but, similar to his point, we do have a hot streak early szn often… This one’s different.

“Last night took an L but tonight I bounce back.”

Feel like this was 60% shooting variance and 40% cause for concern.

The Pels are not a good shooting team, especially with Trey Murphy not playing, but they were up around 50% before the benches got emptied. Meanwhile the Wolves were sub 30% from deep despite getting primarily open looks. The Pels were also molten from midrange while the Wolves were missing tons of close looks (albeit they were well contested). If those are flipped, Wolves probably win.

The actual points for concern (for me at least):
    – team’s are sitting on all of the easy Gobert actions and it’s rendering him a near zero offensively. That makes him a giant negative offensively and it’s really bogging shit down.
    – Rudy’s also taken a step back defensively lately, looking more like last season where he was still quite good but not elite.
    – Jaden’s been a real disappointment. He had some nice ball handling/shotmaking, but he’s been a ball stopper offensively and his defense has been kind of mediocre.
    – SloMo was downright unplayable today, and I’ve been a SloMo defender so far this season. Teams have seemed to figure out his 2-man game with Rudy, and without it, he’s really struggling. And the peripheral stuff seems to have fallen off quite a bit. His rebounding has been kind of bad, his lack of foot-speed is hurting defensive rotations (the man-to-man defense is still good).
    – Ant’s turnovers are so bad lately. Some if just carelessness, some is the lack of spacing, and some is him looking indecisive caught between his chucking nature the coaching he’s getting.
    – KAT and (especially) Naz’s defense has really fallen off. They were an elite defense because they were elite with Rudy and very good with him off. Now they feel like Swiss cheese when Rudy sits.

  20. The team needs another vet scorer, desperately.

A Derozan type that can just buckets in bunches

  21. Plastic-Soup-4099

Pelicans and Thunder always eat our lunch

  22. Still number 1 in the West, not time to overreact. Most teams go through slump – learn through the slump and find some scoring and maturity for this team Connelly! On to the next one. We all good Wolves!

  23. Thin-Comment8034

Kyle Anderson and Troy Brown jr for Dennis Schroeder? just a thought. Seems Toronto is most likely to sell maybe get Dennis. I know Dennis wants to be a starter so u could start him and have mike come off the bench to save his legs. Dennis was pretty good last year finding Anthony Davis maybe he could do the same for our bigs. This also gives us shooting/play making off the bench with Naz. Not sure about the luxury tax and all that though.

  24. ChbbyKttns

Jaden is giving the vibes of a guy who got paid and thinks he no longer needs to try
