Team that a lot of people thought could take a jump maybe they’re a sneaky playing team they had 17 wins last season and they ended up paying Monty Williams to be their head coach $80 million over 6 years they added veterans they kept Bo bonovich who it was rumored

They were offered two first round picks for in a trade last season boan before the season said in a pre season press conference that he was assured this team was going to be good they added their number one overall pick franchise player in Kate Cunningham back to the lineup

They lost 17 or won 17 games excuse me last season and they brought Kade back like there was no feasible way it felt like that they would be worse than last season but they’re not just worse than last season they’re maybe the worst basketball team of of all time in a year

They are actively trying to win it has been 5 years of rebuilding and they’re the maybe the worst team of all time this is what I’m talking about when I say it’s the most embarrassing team in NBA history because the other teams that were this bad were trying to lose the

Pistons are doing everything in their power they have eight lottery picks on the roster and some of them are like James wisman or Marvin Bagley like they’re guys who didn’t live up to expectations but they’ve drafted a lot of these guys they’ve got Kade they’ve got kilan Hayes who isn’t very good but

They drafted him in the top 10 you have Jaden Ivy who sometimes just doesn’t play Jaylen Duran has been injured here and there but he was back for this game and none of it matters they can’t defend they can’t score they’re the worst clutch team of all time and I’m not

Exaggerating when I say that their clutch stats are some of the most absurd things you will ever see because like I said earlier they have played some close games there have been games where it feels like they might be able to win but they just legitimately forget how to

Play basketball it’s like their minds are wiped at the end of the game they in the clutch the season have an offensive rating of 63.2 that is less than half of what the Pacers have this season and the Pacers are a great offense but even the average

Teams had like 40 50 plus points of offensive rating on the Pistons it’s not even close like 63.2 I didn’t even know an offensive rating could go that low never mind the fact that they have an 123.5 defensive rating adding up to a net rating in the clutch of a minus 60.2

So they get outscored by 60 points in the terms of I believe it’s 100 possessions like they get decimated the second gets the clutch time they fall apart regardless of what the scores in clutch time they’ve got a true shooting percentage of 33.3% I didn’t even know true shooting percentage went that low

That’s a short-term solution and you still have every other hole imaginable on this roster it doesn’t matter if you give up a bunch of pieces like what pieces on this team are even super valuable to opposing teams I guess your draft picks are but do you really want

Coming into the season the Pistons had expectations of taking a small leap led by young talents like Cade Cunningham, Ausar Thompson, Jaden Ivey, and Jalen Duren. Fast forward a couple months, the Pistons have set the record for the most consecutive losses in a single NBA season. It’s one of the most incredible things I’ve ever witnessed and the streak doesn’t feel like it’s coming to an end any time soon. The Pistons may just never win a basketball game again.
