This is a great piece outlining the journey Jontay Porter has taken to see his first NBA minutes since 2021 a few days ago, in 2024. Really great read, Blake interviewed his older brother, Michael Porter Jr for this piece, so we get to see a lot of cool stories and details likely not found elsewhere.

I was impressed with his confidence and fit Wednesday night. I’m hoping he makes another appearance tonight.

Lmao finally! Blake and Will Lou have been teasing this article on their pod for so long

Good for him
He looks raw but was genuinely a positive impact on the court last game
Great pick up for the Raps hopefully he can keep it up and improve
His size alongside Barnes defensively is awesome

Awesome article from Blake. Really rooting for Jontay, he was excellent in that game against Memphis and he can be exactly what we need from a backup big.

Maybe our garbage bench over the past few seasons is giving me rose tinted glasses, but he looked like he belonged out there.
He was doing a good job using his size to grab boards and bothered people at the rim. Wasn’t awful on offence either, despite missing every shot he took. Kept the ball moving and wasn’t forcing anything.

Porter family injury history is crazy. I think one of their sisters tore her ACL 5 times. Hope he can maintain his body and stay healthy like MPJ has recently for the most part. Jontay was projected as a lottery pick in college so the talent is obviously there

Zero reason Thad should be getting backup C minutes if this is a development year, Porters done very well in the G-League and looked good in his minutes against the Grizzlies, he’s earned a spot in the rotation until Koloko can get back on the court.

Versatile big with technical skills that is unselfish and happy to be here. Amazing how hard it is to find a player like that.

We should collect all the less talented brothers

Let’s hope so, this family has had the worst luck with injuries. So glad Michael has been able to be injury free enough to succeed in the league and get that big payday too.

Michael Porter Jr. to the Raptors confirmed.

He went out there, played hard, was making the right decisions off ball, and defensively he was smart and didn’t get reckless. Definitely earned more minutes.

We need a good development win.
Rooting for Mr Porter, here.
