Shams: Golden State Warriors forward Jonathan Kuminga has lost faith in coach Steve Kerr

Thinly veiled trade request from Kuminga. I like the idea of trading for players that could extend our window of contention. He’s not polished but his role as a defensive specialist could be valuable. With Tobi presumably leaving in free agency we will have a hole to fill at the 4. Note that he is only making $6 million this year so matching salaries could be an issue if he does get traded.

Thoughts on Kuminga as a target for the Sixers?

He can’t get consistent minutes on a bad Warriors team, what would you want him for

  2. I don’t want anyone who has an issue with Steve Kerr lol

I would like Kuminga. To me, he’s a lottery ticket that could blossom until a real asset.

For a few seconds or the thunder 1st I’d do it if he has another season before he’s due a contract. Always want more athleticism and he’s been flashing future all star potential with inconsistent minutes. I don’t think he’d be much more than a 7th man here right now though.

Another player that fits the overrated by this sub mold. A young, athletic guy that has never actually shown that he is good at basketball. I think he is better and has more potential than other young guys this sub has wanted, but if he is playing major minutes in the playoffs, we are cooked.

  6. JK’s strengths:

Receiving the ball in motion and Rolling/cutting to the hoop

    On ball defence

    Athleticism

    Weaknesses:

    Half court offence

Creating offence by himself off the dribble

    Off ball defence

Kerr finding a way to blow that lead was amazing to watch. Zero adjustments. Everyone probably feels similar to kumbucket rn.

  8. Kuminga is playing excellent in extended minutes. There’s a REASON that he’s so miffed at Kerr. Homie would be an ideal pickup

We are in classic over-help scramble mode tonight. Also slow to get to the corner shooter.

It will be interesting to see if we get our shot together, or if we lose by 30.

I like him, but to trade him for Tobias would lessen our chances to win a title this year and that won’t fly with Morey. If he’s traded, it will be for other assets.
