[Bodner] I think Bogdon should be a top priority for the Sixers

Hawks could become a fire sale and in theory, Bogdon fits perfectly on offense with his shooting and playmaking. My big question is his defense as he’s gotten older

  1. Saddiq Bey or Adrian Griffin wouldn’t be bad as part of it either. Cov, Springer, Furk and a few firsts for Bogdan and Bey.

Same article by Fisher mentioned Barnes and Heurter which I also think would be interesting.

I like the idea of Bogdon here, but hypothetically what would we be able to give to incentivize a deal while also not losing too much for him? and like you said, his defense leaves a bit to be desired towards the end of his career

We already have to play Maxey 35+ minutes. Can we not give teams more guys to pick on?

In terms of money, Morris and Korkmaz for Bogdanovic and Bey works almost perfectly. We’d obviously have to attach draft capital, and I have no idea what these guys are worth. 2 FRP’s and some 2nd’s? What do you guys think?

Bogdon would be great for us. Elite shooter and can handle the rock. Has the ability to randomly pop off for 35+

I don’t know if it is because he burned us so much in our playoff series but I think he would be perfect for what they need.

  7. My brain read this as Brogdon who also wouldn’t be a bad get either.

  8. I’d be down. He’s a motherfucker. And at 4/68 we’d have the ability to sign more people next offseason.

  9. Offensively he is good, but is his defense better than lavine? Anyways he is way better than melton, and would be a starter on our team

Either Bogdanovic’s would work for us. But ideally, I’d want Kuzma.

We are in a weird spot where we have been so pleasantly surprised by the success and outlook of our team this year and for the next couple years after that we now find ourselves in a predicament with a trade this year.

If we make a “minor” move for a player around the caliber of a Bogi, Brogdon, Smart type player to really round out our roster and try to win it this year we probably will lose assets and this illustrious off-season cap space plan to make a giant move everyone wants.

But at the same time everyone is in here arguing over who to push the chips in for with a big trade and or off-season signing because there aren’t many available that we actually like or think fit.

I would just say that I think fit is super super important especially for your stars and co stars.

But also I think we may be overthinking a bit trying to find something perfect. Guys that are wings or guards that are capable of dribbling and shooting should have no issue playing with Embiid.

I think I’m more worried about fit if we are talking about a PF or a SF that can’t shoot. Most Perimeter players should work out okay considering Maxey is a great off ball mover/shooter/cutter similar to Curry

I just read a headline that Celtics are favored to get him at the moment. If Boston gets another big piece I’m going to flip out. I have no idea how they could even afford it.

Edit: Here are the odds for his landing spots atm, we aren’t even in the running according to vegas

    Boston Celtics (+200)
    Milwaukee Bucks (+400)
    Denver Nuggets (+500)
    Los Angeles Clippers (+500)
    Sacramento Kings (+700)

In looking it over, the only player I’m seeing that the Sixers are a top 5 consideration to land is Keldon Johnson from SA.

Feels like the C’s are gonna pick him up for bench depth

  14. Why is everybody typing “Bogdon”. It’s Bogdan. Bogdan Bogdanovic.

  15. TerminallyTrill

I like him but I just don’t think that will be a needle mover.

Where we currently stand I see cheap moves on the margins and the big swing as the two markets that we will be operating in.

  16. Thegrandmistressofoz

We can’t give up firsts for a guy who can’t close for us in the playoffs at this stage imo

  17. Local-Cartographer52

Bogdan fuckin cooks teams randomly and has a nice 3 point shot. Imagine him with the space Jo provides ooooooooo

  18. thesixersdontexist

i’d like this move. when i think about the atlanta series, i always remember him over trae. dude felt
like he didn’t miss the entire series

  19. jawntothefuture

Need him tbh. His offense and ballsy play would work SO well

  20. This is an interesting question I think: if the cost is equal, would you rather have Bogdanovic(hawks) or Caruso(bald)?

  21. rabbitohvon

Isn’t he a bit of a locker room lawyer? Plus the ex Celtic factor, fuck those guys.
