Yeah it was not not just the pace it was the allaround play I think just being ready to play playing with a lead good defensive activity um but I didn’t like the way we closed the second quarter and then the start of the third was was a problem so

But overall you know good good trip and uh just find a way to win the game you you tell your team during the time you don’t want to know what about no you know there’s going to be runs in the game and the the thing like

The first half I thought we did so many good things in so many different areas and then like I Lov the unselfishness to start particularly to start the game I thought the first three buckets were really un all unselfish plays and then it continued on and that’s how we built

The lead but then like we were we got to some home run passes that you know were turnovers and then that gave them I think we got it to 26 and then there was their run that got it to 20 then they started the Third on a run so now that

We gave them you know hope that they could get back into the game and which they did and I knew that they play hard and so um and you know you guys hear it from me ad nauseum they hear it from my players our players hear it from me

Nauseum like no lead is safe in this league and all of a sudden you turn it over a couple times they make three threes and and all of a sudden you’re fighting for your life and that nearly happened you know they they they made a a great run and you know we responded

Which is you know to be mentally tough when you’re facing adversity is critical and so and then we settled down and it was better and you know in the fourth well just the way the game was unfolding you know and so we got on to a little

Bit of a run and and then I was thinking about how he was going to sub Julius and Jaylen and then you know we we ran it longer and then we kept Isaiah in there longer as well you know I thought I was concerned about the way the rebounding

Was going you know and I thought that was that was a problem well you know like I I you know like I know you guys like measure all that and to me there’s always context to it like sometimes a team may have a losing record when they they have guys that are

Out and I also know that every team in this league is capable of beating you and so the the challenge is to build a consistency to your team in your approach and so you know we just went through a stretch where you know we we played some really tough teams and we

Got wins against the tough teams too or the so-called tough teams but in my eyes the other 29 teams in this league are tough you can’t get here without being a great player you can’t do yeah and you know and and when the schedule came out you know in the summer

You you look at it and and that’s sort of the nature of you know what you do when you get your schedule you there’s times when a schedule’s heavy and sometimes it’s in your favor sometimes it’s not and so that’s why we pressed right from the beginning on being ready

For what we were going to face you know and that’s why your conditioning is so important your mental toughness is so important and I don’t care what it is you that you have you give the team whatever you have so if you can play 10 minutes you play 10 minutes uh but you

Have to practice hard you have to prepare hard uh and you build that habit either you’re building The Habit to get through things or you’re building The Habit to not get through things thanks
