RJ Barrett checks out in a win vs the Warriors: 37/6/6 | 1 Steal | +/- +26

On:

13/20 FG

5/8 3P

6/8 FT

No turnovers on his 6 assists, albeit one pass to Chris Boucher in the 4th was pretty risky.

On a off-night from Scottie and Quickley, RJ took up the offensive load with an impressive – and efficient – 1st half performance of 26 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists to win the Battle of the Maple Mambas (For reference: Andrew Wiggins – who scored 2 points, dished out a single assist and picked up 2 rebounds – shares the nickname “Maple Mamba” with RJ).

RJ’s 37 points is the 2nd most ever scored by a Canadian to play for the Toronto Raptors; second only to Chris Boucher who scored 38 points.

He relentlessly hunted Steph and was going downhill against their whole team. Zero answer

    Draft RJ, Keep RJ 😢

Bro gonna be great in Toronto but OG elite too

2 points away from breaking Chris Bouchers franchise record for most points scored by a Canadian 😭

  4. Wiggins is terrible he can’t be on Canada’s roster in the Olympics

It’s so nice having someone on this team who gets to the line and knocks them down at such a good clip.

This team has looked so much better with him and IQ having fun watching the raps again been a while.

    Did you watch the game?

Why was this an off night for quickly?

    Enough of box score watching.

  7. RedRocket13

He’s a way better playmaker than I thought – he has this cross-court pass from the wing to an open shooter at the top of the arc that he consistently hits

Gonna say it: the Raptors look pretty damn good.

Having a bench is a big change.

One of those things were guys need a change of scenery.

  10. RJ always has this in him it’s unsurprising.

What I hope for him is the consistency part which he has never had comes in. He’s equally likely to go 3-14 next game as he is play a just ok game or better

That’s my boy!!!!!!!!!!! Now that he’s a Raptor he’s for sure going to be a superstar. He was a bum when he was knick

I’ll always support our boys. Glad to see RJ have a great game!

  13. I cant believe we got this guy, Quickley, and a late first for OG man. Masai & Bobby are fucking masters

  14. Seems like the trade was a win win. I think the Knicks overpaid personally but the results have been great for them so far.

Masai stocks are back up. Congrats Toronto, that’s an unexpected win from the OG trade.

Good heavens meme still alive in my heart

With the way the raptors are playing it’s gunna put them in a tough spot on what to do with an expiring Siakim who they won’t give the max too

The playmaking and decision making was immaculate today. Best I’ve seen him play so far. His first 3 games he seemed to be a good scorer but a bit of a black hole.

  19. sersarsor

I’ve been sayin that he’s been rotting in NY cuz of Thib’s system, he would always get put in the corner and couldnt initiate offense how he wants to.

  20. OBlastSRT4

Just make sure you post this kind of stuff when he has 3 -25 games in a row and can’t seem to finish shit near the basket

Barrett about to put up fantastic slightly above average player on a bad team numbers.

  22. NintyFanBoy

The trade where both teams benefitted. It’s wild to see it unfold.

  23. As a certified Knicks hater I am totally here for RJ becoming a really good player
