[Charania] The Dallas Mavericks have done their due diligence on Pascal Siakam and Jerami Grant, but felt the price tag was too steep for either of them. Still focusing on getting an upgrade at PF by the trade deadline.

Shams Charania just said this on “[Run It Back](https://x.com/runitbackfdtv?s=21)” on FanDuel TV (channel 245 for me on Optimum). I’ll post the clip if/when they post it on their Twitter timeline.

Who else is attainable that fills the need? John Collins? PJ Washington?

Glad the FO isn’t just tossing away every asset to make incremental upgrades without looking at the big picture.

  3. Siakam isn’t willing to commit to anyone so it’s a non starter for any team.

Sounds Reasonable. Let’s hope we go for a practical solution, but yes we do need an upgrade

Damn. Idk what PF that would be an upgrade they would be looking at from this point. They might not even make any moves at this trade deadline it looks like

I would rather just see this team healthy for 2 weeks before making a major move.

My sense is that no one will want to see a healthy Luka / Kyrie in the playoffs and the Mavs will have a chance to make a run. If anything, I would love to have a Naz Reid on this squad. I don’t think a major move is necessary.

Good. We’re a good team as is. No need to make deals just for the sake of doing so. If something comes up, great. If not, I think most of us expected the big move to come in the offseason where we’ll have access to 3 FRPs, a couple of seconds, and a few nice, young players.

The Athletic linked us to Isaiah Stewart. I think he’d be an interesting addition.

The big move comes this summer. Right now we only have 1 first to trade, this summer we have up to 3.

They probably wanted lively. If i was guessing, that’s the only way it would have been possible to get siakam.

After what og went for. I guess raptors really valued quickly and barret. Siakam trade value seems to be non existent from what the rumors suggest.

I would take Rui once again if the Lakers are trying to shed that. I would also once again like you to join my TED talk about how Daniel Gafford should have been included in the initial KP trade and how Jericho Sims on the Knicks is very underrated. The other name that I would like that would be cheap is Okeke from the Magic. That’s my list really.
