  1. I had forgotten how the bulls commentary is worse than nails on chalkboard

  2. jmart1242

Tough loss but it was hella fun watching Sengun cook!!

  3. Excellent-Cod-3430

Sengun with 25 2nd half points and almost singlehandedly brought the team back in the 4th and OT. He’s a future superstar

  4. DonotJaywalk

Awww I really thought we had it in OT. Oh well

  5. Game thread was embarrassing, people spent the first half dogging Sengun calling him a bum even though he has been playing at an all star level then spent OT dogging Jalen and Cam who is a fucking ROOKIE. Figure it out weiros.

  6. Cam did great. Monumental for his experience. Sengun was him in the fourth. And Amen, never make a jumpshot again with that form.

  7. ConversationBoring48

Damn sucks that we lost but what a fun game to watch

  8. Sc0rch1ngDr4g0n

For a team built on defense and hustle, it felt like we got outdefended and outhustled pretty hard tonight šŸ™

I can see why Coby White is a major MIP candidate. Caruso, as always, is such a pest you hate to see against your team but love otherwise. Lavine looked really good and energetic overall on both ends. Also some bad passes and TOs. Mostly positive but can kinda see why people are mixed on him.

We continue to look like last yearā€™s road Warriors. [Not a good sign heading into Detroit](https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=kpJy38HNjMU).

But we were able to bounce back despite bad play for most of the game. Sengun was able to return to SenGOD after an awful 3 quarters. Jalen showed nice flashes of playmaking but also the usual boneheaded plays. Cam is really good offensively and solid on-ball, but made some really big mistakes defensively as well from both bad rotations and being caught sleeping. Still a good learning experience for him. And the team never gave up and kept fighting. That spirit is really encouraging and another big positive for the season.

Weā€™re really gonna need it because the road trip will get a lot harder. Not much confidence going into Detroit.

  9. basedkumar63

Sengun played like a star if thereā€™s a positive here. Like seriously, he willed that shit into OT and at the beginning. The team as a whole really needs to close better. God damn that hurts lol

  10. Bewaretheicespiders

We all love Udoka but sometimes its like the coaching doesnt want to adjust. Bulls got open 3’s all night.

  11. dpatel211

Is it really that fun trying to find a different player to blame on every situation of every game, especially when most of them are young and have much to learn?

  12. Iā€™m just so happy whitmore is getting good minutes, finally we can transition out of tate.

  13. Overall fun game to watch, Bulls looking solid. Glad to see Lavine ball out

  14. AlertPound9343

33 minutes for Cam tonight and he earned every one of them. Defense will improve but you can tell he was locked in on the defensive end. Need brooks and Tari back and we can start to turn things around.

  15. EnvironmentalFun478

Tough loss, and although it looks ugly I find it hopeful that we’re still able to be within these types of games even without two of our starters who contribute heavily to our defense. Future’s promising you overreactionary bunch

  16. AdmirableRise3758

Really hard fought game. Im not mad at all.

Cam whitmore finally played more than 20 mins too! Hes gotta start over tate

  17. BigTonyEnergy

Alpi went from having the worst half of the season to again doing HIM stuff but we again can’t pull out the win. I know Cam missed a big three but he continues to wow. What a dynamic guy. Overall, not a terrible loss given that we showed character and came back from 16 in the 4th.

  18. indieGenies

    Positives:

Cam and Sengun(2nd half and OT)

    Jalen’s good stretch

    Negatives:

Whatever was troubling Senguns mind during 1st half, he needs to be confident through all game.

    Team defense

    3pt shooting

    Jalen’s bad stretch

edit: let me add poor FT%

  19. If there was ever a moral victory, this is one of those. Fuck this team is making me have some high expectations already.

    SENGUN IS HIM.

  20. kopite008

This one will hurt but Whitmore has barely played 10 games can’t blame him, we should have made more fts that’s the reason we lost Their main game was the 3 ball ours was paint points and ft line so we should have made it happen

  21. We just played one quarter like a real team.

    Another disappointing loss.

I was hoping for 3-3 on the road and it looks like 1-5 šŸ™

At least Cam is earning time and experience (even the mistakes are important). And Sengun, after a terrible half game, showed why he’s an All Star. That kind of comeback is not for every player.

  22. Lord_Shugesh

I don’t think I’ve missed Dillon Brooks more in any game yet

  23. TVjunkie15

I get Jalen doesnā€™t necessarily deserve a lot of good will after how heā€™s played most of the season but he is NOT the reason we lost that OT. He did the correct thing by driving the ball when they were pretty much triple teaming Sengun, the shot just didnā€™t fall. My problem with Jalen has always been bad decisions. That was absolutely not one of them. It was the right play, just a missed shot. As a matter of fact, it was his only shot taken in OT. Sengun missed a couple and Cam missed a couple. Shit happens. Not everything is somebodyā€™s fault.

  24. SnooCompliments1472

Saw some toxic activity from ā€œfansā€ on this sub in the game thread. We start winning games and yall forget how to act smh. We lost a close one to a good team, it ainā€™t the end of the world. Wanting JG gone from the team is crazy.

  25. NutNougat

Game thread be toxic af. Every little thing is an overreaction, every single small thing you will blame a player. Sad.

I stopped posting here because I can fucking tell a lot of posters here ain’t a fan of the Rockets but a fan of a player they support, does not matter who specifically. I hope you guys learn to stop overreacting. This team is fresh of being a bottom dweller team and are now learning to be competitive.

Be critical of the players sure, but endlessly bashing them won’t make them go away. Support them as long as they are part of the team, and hope that they improve and get better. The future is bright, so why wallow in negativity? Go Rockets.

  26. Tales_of_Endurance

I am encouraged from what I saw. Tari and Dillon are big pieces of our rotation and we are hanging on without them.

Sengun is taking leaps game by game. It takes a lot of mental strength to come back from that terrible 1st half performance.

Jalen played really well. Timely passes and cuts.

Fred shot bricks from 3pt 3/14 which made the difference in the end.

Cam is talented but still young with a lot of rookie mistakes. He will be better.

This team is a couple pieces away from being really strong next season.

  27. Kendell25

Just want to preface, Fred is from my city so I came here for him, but you guys are waaay better than the raptors sub reddit. The only problem I see is people putting blame on a rookie that will be play a pivotal role in your franchise in the future. Cam NEEDS experience in intense situations if you want him to become HIM. Please stop shitting on the guy and acknowledge that he is capable of playing a huge role in his first season before the all star break. I have become a fan of from this game.

PS. Sengun is a cold mf

  28. ZealousidealLeg3650

Sengun and Cam looking like the future of the franchise. Heck you might as well add Tari in there as well

  29. crushcitymango

Tough loss, Great team, but bum ass fans in the game thread

  30. satoran94

I feel like there are some Alpi hate growing because of his fans’ annoyingness. Don’t hate the player, hate his fans please.

  31. Intelligent-Bid-633

    So, cooled down a bit.

It has been a rollercoaster. We should have won after going up 5 but we are not there yet as a team. Letā€™s not forget this year is not the year.
    These are still learning experiences.
It was good for Sengunā€™s confidence after that horrible first half. It was good to have Cam there even though he sucked a bit on OT, good experience.
We have to have option 2 and 3 if Sengun canā€™t score. We still donā€™t have reliable shooters. Dillon is missed. Bari is getting there soon though.
Jalen is limiting his bad decisions and actually doing the drive+dish very well. He still needs to work hard on his finishing at the rim.
All in all this was winnable. Off to the next one.

  32. MaxRealDeal

Iā€™m shattered!!! The truth of the matter is that the lack of experience in this Team has played a huge role in a lot of the close and painful loses this season. Silver lining is that they will get better with time and the lessons learnt from these loses. Alpi is a gem!

  33. Top_Benefit_7132

Biggest W of the game is Cam. He is earning those minutes more every other game.

Sengun 25 piece in after 2nd half started was nice to see as well

  34. CloutBloke

It will be hard to stay afloat if we keep middling around, play-in race is tight and weā€™re around teams with a lot more experience and incentive to get to the playoffs. Tari is a concerning situation, but we should be willing to sacrifice some losses to make sure heā€™s good long term. Cam is also another positive, heā€™s so young and can potentially get so much better. This level of competitiveness was one of the more positive outcomes that we could have hoped for this season. Thereā€™ll be some frustration if we canā€™t get into the play-in, but saving Tari from himself is the right call. I think if we can just get brooks back it would tip some of these games more in our favor.
