THE BROOKLYN NETS ARE WASTING EVERYONES TIME…

Hey guys what is up it is the fast break report here bringing you guys another Vlog I got a doctor’s appointment today so uh figured you know what uh before I do that I’d go ahead and uh try to make a video um I want to talk about the New

Jersey Nets um if you guys saw the video I put up on my second Channel I told you guys gave a bit of a spoiler in that video saying that the next video would be about the Brooklyn Nets because this team is simply just wasting everybody’s

time I’m just going to call it what it is man like this team has no Direction they’re they’re a team that is very similar to the Chicago Bulls of the past two or three years where they have a bunch of players on their team but like there’s really no direction and

That’s kind of a shitty place to be as an organization because it’s like you have good players but there’s nothing to really build towards right that’s that’s the problem with it it’s like the in the Brooklyn Nets situation it’s like they have Mikel Bridges they have Cam Johnson

Right they traded for uh Dorian finy Smith and they traded for Spencer Den witty but the thing is like this team is is just like the Chicago Bulls you know like the Chicago Bulls have D rozan and Zack LaVine and uh they have Alex Caruso they’ve got Nia vuvi but it’s not good

Enough to win anything and that’s the same thing that is going on in Brooklyn right now with the Nets they have a bunch of really good players but it’s not enough to win anything right like they’re they’re it’s like it’s literally being like smack dab in the middle of

Being mediocre it’s like you’re not good enough to be great but you’re also not bad enough to be terrible and if you’re going to be one of the two and like it’s an uphill battle to be really good you might as well be really bad and when I look at this Brooklyn

Nets team man they’re 24th out of 30 teams in defense Michel Bridges is not playing defense on the level that he he was in Phoenix I’m just going to call it what it is he’s he’s not doing it um you know he’s also like he’s shooting 35%

From three 45% from the field um cam Thomas has almost identical numbers in in a sense that he’s shooting 43% from the field and 35% from three they’re both shooting about 80 you know Mike H Bridges is shooting like 84% from three cam Thomas is like 81 82 um they both

Average 20 a game they’re they’re both averaging almost the same in blocks and steals I mean Michel Bridges still gets five rebounds a game but the fact of the matter is man like when you look at the players on this team Michel Bridges cam Thomas Cameron Johnson uh Spencer Den

Witty Dorian finin Smith Royce O’Neal Dennis Smith Jr Ben Simmons like there these are all players that I think have a fit somewhere in the NBA it’s just they’re not a good group of players together and Michel Bridges is a guy who is just simply not playing on the level

That he was towards the end of last season uh you know I think think he still got something left in the tank but I would argue that Michel Bridge’s trade value has actually gone down um I’m not seeing the dude who was averaging 26 28

A game this year as he was at the end of last year after the KD trade cam Thomas is a guy that is like it they’ve taken him out of the rotation I’m not sure why cam Thomas was a guy who was averaging like 26 a game for them at the

Beginning of the season and then like he got off to a hot start and then he hit a shooting slump and they just decided they’re going to put him back on the bench um cam Johnson’s been playing very well I will say that 41% from three 46% from the field on 15

Points a game and five rebounds not bad for a stretch four he’s shooting 74% from the free throw line the problem with this whole team though is most of the guys that they have traded for when they traded Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving are guys that are not simply

Capable of being a part of their future um you look at a guy like even Michel Bridges Michel Bridges is 27 years old Cameron Johnson is 27 years old Spencer Den wtti is 30 years old uh Dorian finy Smith is 30 years old Royce O’Neal is 30

Years old Dennis Smith Jr is 30 years uh no Dennis Smith Jr is 26 years old um Ben Simmons is 27 years old all the guys on their team that are good are of the age of 27 or above okay Dennis Smith Jr is 26 but he’s not exactly a guy that I

Think is going to be a part of your future so I look at the guys on their roster who are playing well you look at a guy like Lonnie Walker like Lonnie Walker’s playing pretty well 47% from the field 44% from three on 13 a game

76% from the free throw line um you know Lonnie Walker’s playing well Nick Claxton is is Nick Claxton you know what I’m saying I think Nick claxton’s doing pretty well he’s averaging 12 and 10 a game uh he’s uh shooting 100% from the three-point oh no yeah 100% from the

Three-point line so I guess he’s only made one all season um you know it’s just like there’s guys on this team that I’m like okay Dron sharp I could see uh keeping Noah Clowney uh you know they have DQ Whitehead who has only played two games for them uh like this

They have Armani Brooks like this is a team that’s like they have a bunch of young guys but I would argue they’re not even good at drafting like this is a team that has so many problems like they traded for Keon Johnson Keon Johnson’s played one game for them you

Know like I look at this roster I think to myself I I’m I’m trading everybody on this roster that’s older than the age of 25 okay like I’m just going to call it what it is like if if you’re going to be the Brooklyn Nets trade Mel

Bridges for draft picks trade cam Thomas for draft picks trade cam Johnson for draft picks trade Spencer Den witty for draft picks trade Dorian finny Smith for draft picks trade Royce O’Neal for a draft pick trade Dennis Smith Jr for a draft pick just get rid of these guys because you’re wasting everybody’s

time right now their record is 16 and 21 okay they’re they’re not like by the time the season’s over they’re not even going to be a playoff team or a playin team right if they are i”d be shocked their offensive rating is 15th out of 30 teams in the league but their

Defensive rating is 24th out of 30 teams in the league and honestly there’s not anything that they do that’s super great that you look at and go yeah that team’s great okay yeah they’re in the top 10 and three-pointers attempted but they there’re you know they’re 16th in the

League in three-o percentage um in two-pointers they’re 22nd and two-pointers are attempted they’re 15th and Steels they’re like dead last Almost they’re 29th and on the defensive side of the ball you know they’re letting teams make you know 14 three-pointers a game which is good for 28th out of 30

Teams in the league three-point percentage they’re letting team shoot 38% from three which is good for 27th um you know it’s just they’re they’re just they’re a bad team they’re 19th in the league in in uh opponent’s points per game at 11 16.6 like they they’re the epitome of

Mediocrity okay like they’re 17th in the league like they they legitimately give up more points than they score that is sad they give up 116 points per game but only score 114 like they legitimately give up more points per game then they score that is

Wild okay so when I look at this team and I just like I I just think to myself like this is a team that clearly needs to move on okay I understand the Mikel Bridges hype was great but even when they made the trade for KD I was like

I’m looking at this I’m like okay like they may be like if they were going to capitalize on Mel Bridges like they had to do this year like put something around him and it seems like they tried to do that with Dorian finy Smith and Spencer Den witty but that’s not good

Enough to compete in the East like this team is simply not good enough to compete in the East and honestly there are some teams out there that you could probably finesse some like maybe even three first round picks out of for a guy like Michel Bridges because I feel like

In the right system Michel Bridges could be a very very good player he’s got a very nice contract for the player that he is um you know he I think he still has the potential to be a really good Defender he just has hasn’t been that

This year for the the Brooklyn Nets Ben Simmons is essentially a lost cause nobody’s going to trade for him and if they do it’s going to be a team that desperately it’s going to be a team like the Pacers that desperately need defense or and rebounding and you

Know just somebody to facilitate the the four spot you know what I’m saying I hope the Pacers don’t trade for him but I don’t know stranger things have happened um it’s just the idea like d like Spencer Den witty would be a good backup point guard on another team

Dorian finy Smith could be a nice bench player for another team Michel Bridges and cam Johnson are are starters on most team like like honestly if there’s anybody I wish the Pacers would trade for from the Nets it’s Cameron Johnson like Cameron Johnson’s a guy that I

Think could be a nice addition to this team rather than a Jeremy Grant or a pascal SE yakum or something like that I don’t really know how great cam Johnson is at defense but if we’re looking for a guy to stretch the floor and shoot threes and stuff like that cam

Johnson’s a guy that like I could maybe get behind um he’s a guy that I could see us you know fitting well in the system that we got with Tyrese halberton same thing with Michel Bridges but Michel Bridges is a guy that I feel like they’re going to want to rip our

Eyes out for so it’s just like just looking at this whole team I’m like there really isn’t much here okay Roy O’Neal is a guy that’ll maybe get you a second round pick maybe a first round pick to a sucker I I don’t know but you

Know Royce O’Neal is an okay 3 and D guy but it’s just like a that’s the problem with their roster a lot of the guys on the team are just okay guys they’re not great like if I’m the Brooklyn Nets getting rid of I’m getting rid of everybody like everybody’s going

Cam Thomas is staying DQ Whitehead is staying Nick claxon is staying Lonnie Walker is staying and we’ll go from there right like that’s that’s what you build around is Nick Claxton and cam Thomas those are the two guys that you build around and DQ whitehead right but

They’re not even playing DQ Whitehead so so I don’t know what the going on but this is a team that if they wait too long right like the the longer they wait to trade guys like Mikel Bridges and cam Johnson the worse it’s going to be Dorian FY Smith still has value like

They I don’t think the Nets fully understand that the longer they wait to do this the worse the the trade value is going to be like there is a a time where a player’s trade value is at its peak Damen the same thing happened with Portland with Damen Lillard they

Waited too long to trade Damen Lillard okay they just did you know like Damen Lillard was a guy that should have been traded arguably probably almost four or five years before the the Trailblazers actually did it and the Nets I have a feeling are going to be in this

Situation where they’re going to let Mikel Bridges get to like 20 28 29 years old before they decide okay well we got to let him go and at that point it’s like you don’t know what he’s going to be you know what I’m saying he’s already

A guy that on the defensive side of the ball seems like he’s he’s declining this year and I just think to myself you know like Now’s the Time to strike while the iron’s hot on him you know what I’m saying like if he like it’s not as hot

As it was last year but like I’m just saying like if last year was 26 point points per game out of Mikel Bridges and now this year he’s regressed and he’s worse on defense he’s not scoring 26 a game he’s not shooting like 37% from three anymore Now’s the Time to move off

Him because you risk going into next season with the statistics maybe potentially being worse I don’t I don’t think that’s really going to happen but why take the risk right why take the risk on keeping these guys around when you can just ship them all out for draft picks or young players

Back like Mel Bridges I think could command a young player and one or two first round picks like not unprotected picks but maybe you could get like you know a a good young player and a late first rounder and a a lottery first rounder or something like that maybe or

Two late first rounders and a young player that’s not bad like I don’t think that’s bad return for Mikel Bridges same thing with Cam Johnson cam Johnson might even demand a young player plus a late first round pick you know like it’s just the idea these are guys that they could

Be trading and instead they’re just keeping them around to just see what the happens and I think to myself if if you’re the the Brooklyn Nets I understand that the league frowns upon tanking but you’re a team with uh you know a car and no destination

Essentially like let let me put it to you that way like they are a an organization that has a car but no destination okay like they’re the Honda Civic of of basketball right now it’s like yeah you got a car it’s reliable but you know it’s it’s at some

Point you want to BMW you know what I’m saying so it’s just the idea I think they need to um really really assess their situation here in the next three or four weeks um and I have a feeling that they’re going to be sellers at the deadline if they’re not sellers at the

Deadline then there’s something immensely wrong with the front office over in in Brooklyn with Shawn Mars and all them because like it’s obvious that like this this isn’t going to work either like it sucks to say that but James Harden Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant didn’t work and Mike H Bridges

Cam Thomas Dorian finny Smith Spencer deny and Ben Simmons and Nick Claxton is not going to work so if you honestly like this is a team that needs to rebuild anyway ever since they got bought out by like the original uh Investment Group that bought that team

And then I think they sold it after that like ever since they traded for Paul Pierce and Kevin Garnett this team has been a disaster and you know then there was the the the one brief moment where it was was like oh okay we had Kyrie James Harden and Kevin Durant

And that completely fell apart during Co okay so honestly if you’re the Brooklyn Nets you’re better off just drafting you you’re also like you’re in New York City you’re in Brooklyn okay like you’re in New York so you know it’s not like young players in the draft aren’t going to

Want to go there you know what I’m saying it’s it’s you know you’re you know essentially right down the street from the Knicks so I understand it’s not the Knicks you know what I’m saying like I understand that that maybe the Brooklyn Nets don’t have the same

Prestige as a a team like the New York Knicks but this is a team that really has to consider its future here in the next two or three weeks like it’s drawing down to the wire and if they let this go on any longer they risk

Just getting less and less and L as time goes on for the players that they got um and I I fully expect them to be sellers at the deadline and if they’re not the front office needs to be let go like I’m just going to call it what it is like

The front office needs to be let go there is nothing here that is is worth salvaging at this point um you know and not for nothing but like I know I understand that this year’s NBA draft may not be the greatest but at the same time it’s like somebody in that

Draft it has has to become somewhat of a capable player like I don’t think there’s ever been an NBA draft where literally everybody drafted just doesn’t become a good player you know if you get a bunch of first round picks or late first round picks or you know

Whatever just start doing that you know what I’m saying just start you know acquiring draft assets drafting young players and start just developing players because the the whole trading for players trying to you know uh swing for the fence thing has not worked in Brooklyn and unfortunately I

Feel like Phoenix is in the same situation where they’re going to try to swing for the fence all the time and it’s not going to work especially now that ever since Matt ishbia took over that team and they traded for Kevin Durant from Brooklyn it seems like they’ve been on the same where

They’re like we’re just going to swing for the fence and and hope don’t do that okay don’t be one of those teams don’t be a team that swings for the fence and you know gives up way more than you need to to to get that isn’t going to change anything just

Build through the draft and and make it work do that because this this this is not going to work so tell me what you guys think about this down below in the comment section below I like El me out subscribe if you guys want to see more

On The Fast Break report and I’m out of this peace guys

So the Brooklyn Nets are 16-21 on the season and they’re on a very quick path to nowhere. The time is coming for the Brooklyn Nets to blow the team up and they will have to come to that decision within the next 3 weeks or so.

  1. Theyre the Raptors pre- trade. 3 really good forwards, not much more to balance out the roster.
