Also wanna shout out the team/Mazzulla as a whole on the doubles they sent. Ant cooked us non-stop that first game by getting the Horford switch and ISOing. We didn’t allow that to happen this time, and Tatum got to cook KAT instead.
The Jays won’t get all defensive team shouts and it’s absolutely criminal.
No elite offensive player is locked in defensively all game/season. They deserve a shout.
All DEFENSE
It wasn’t just the fourth anytime JB got iso on Ant he was fucking clamped. Only time he scored on him was around hard ass screens with late pickups. We’re blessed to have basically a two way starting 5, we don’t have liabilities.
This team can win the NBA title
He’s so important to winning it all. If Jaylen can keep up his defense then there’s no team that can beat us.
It’s the biggest flaw in ANTs game. He’s this freak athlete and if I was a minny, I’d get frustrated with all the insane fadeaway jump shots in crunch. They completely ignored towns even though the Celts couldn’t guard him down low all night.

And he just might be the “weakest defender” among our starting 5, but he’s still elite even if that’s true.
Ant wanted nothing to do with Jaylen on D the entire game. He was trying to get a switch off JB every time he got the ball. He preferred match ups with Jrue, Tatum, White… ANYBODY but JB. He was running from him.
Did this and went 13/13 on free throws this was a perfect night from JB
I hope the C’s go all out to campaign for JB to make All NBA or the defensive team. He is special.
Jaylen has been unreal this year. He’s been playing like a 1st team guy
Brown’s defense on Ant was great, they’re both Atlanta guys who have a friendly rivalry with each other. You could see them in each other’s space talking trash every stoppage.
But also, there was one play where Tatum put the clamps on Ant and then Brown swooped in for the big rebound. I love seeing possessions where they’re both stepping up.
game, I was convinced we were going to lose. But then, out of nowhere, the team pulled off an incredible comeback and secured the win! Did you know that basketball was originally played with a soccer ball? It’s amazing how the game has evolved over time!
Ant never got cooking the way he did last game but I wondered when we were gonna send those pressure doubles on him. His decision making out of those is a little shaky. White and Jrue trapping him on the sideline was perfect.

JB is really flaming the haters this season. ESP after getting paid he could have just stayed as is, but he’s markedly improved and more locked in. Love it.
