Siakams MASTER PLAN Revealed… Major Update on Pascal’s Future | Toronto Raptors News

We have a massive update on Pascal cakam as a report has come out that reveals his master plan for the future of his NBA career because people aren’t familiar his contract expires at the end of the season so he can be an unrestricted free agent and decide to

Whatever team he wants to go to and obviously he is currently at the center of a lot of trade discussions across the NBA so given the fact he can leave any team he gets traded to in free agency potentially this summer he has a lot of sort of control about what could

Potentially happen to him via trade or if he was willing to stay with the Toronto Raptor so now we have some insight in terms of what Pascal cakam actually wants given the fact a lot of people have been making bold claims about Pascal’s sort of intentions holding the tronto Raptor hostage has

Been language I’ve seen thrown at Pascal cakam a lot and things along those lines so this kind of dispels a lot of the crazy narratives going on around Pascal and gives us some insight into what’s actually going on and we also have some details revealed about actual trade

Packages that were offered to Pascal deeper than we have in previous supports so lots of stuff to dive into in this video but before we do that folks again if you’re part of the 57% of viewers on our channel that haven’t subscribed I mean it mean the world to me if you guys

Could hit that subscribe button so we can keep you up to date with all of the latest Toronto Raptors news but let’s dive into this uh report and everything that’s going on because the big thing that dropped today was basically this report come from Sam Amic saying that

Pascal cakam is Seeking a full ter Max contract and doesn’t View Sacramento as a good long-term fit cakam is Seeking a full-term Max salary deal no matter where he ultimately lands and while cakam has not asked for a trade the sources say he doesn’t view the Kings as

A good long-term fit if the Raptors were to choose to move him so basically that’s a lot of details that have been revealed in terms of this situation in terms of what’s going on here so basically Pascal cakam is unwilling to sign that sort of two-year deal which

Would facilitate a trade very nicely for the Toronto Raptors and frankly I do not blame him Pascal seak right now is 30 going to be 30 years old once he signs this next deal unless it’s in a contract extension so frankly this is kind of the

Age where you got to maximize your value maximize the amount of years you never know how injuries might pop up you never know how the course of your career may go Pascal sakam has earned through his play a maximum contract and unless you’re the LeBron James is the world

Where even if you completely fall off a map you can still get a Max contract even if you’re super washed just based off your name unless you’re that level of star Pascal sakam just doesn’t have that guarantee that that Max money is going to be there year after year now

He’s improved pretty well every season Pascal is an absolute Beast this is not me saying he’s going to regress you know year four of this deal or anything like that but it also guarantees it doesn’t it’s me saying that two years from now we’re not sure that a team would be

Willing to give him a 5year two $60 million contract or something like that cakam wants to cash in on the guaranteed money he’s able to earn right now and frankly he deserves it this is what he should be doing so this makes complete sense so for the people that are out

Here calling cakam as a sabater to the Toronto Raptors because he’s unwilling to sort of agree to a shorter term deal which could mess his money up in the long-term future that’s just stupid that’s a stupid take Pascal cakam is not sabotaging the Toronto Raptors the only things we’ve heard in reports we’ve

Heard in basically Pascal cakam speaking to the media has been that he wants to be on the torona Raptors he wants to see this team grow so we should appreciate that you know he’s doing everything he can to sort of get that contract especially if it’s from the Toronto

Raptors but regardless of where it’s from he wants to make sure his family is money is secured which makes complete sense so this narrative that seak is sabotaging the tonal Raptors has to get thrown out the window right away but another really interesting part of this which is encouraging has been Pascal

Cakam has not asked for a trade and uh you know is willing to sort of is look wants that contract whether or not he signs with the Raptors or somewhere else because basically there has been speculation that maybe he would stay with the Tron Raptors but on a shorter

Term deal to see how things play out about his future no Pascal seak has no real desire to leave Toronto he wants that contract that’s his primary focus especially if it’s from the Toronto Raptors he’s not looking for a trade to put himself into a team that has more

Bird rights that they can give him you know that contract a little bit easier no Pascal cakam is interested in playing for the Toronto Raptors it doesn’t say they this is the only team he’s willing to play for or things like that but if the Toronto Raptors are going to have to

Keep him then it’s going to have to be on one of those five-year Maxes which frankly makes a lot of sense and it makes a lot of sense why the Kings deal fell through because he basically said that Sacramento he doesn’t view them as a good long-term fit so again I saw a

Comment saying I’m roasting the city Sacramento I I like Sacramento I I’ve said that it’s not a glamour destination you know a lot not a lot of free agents end up going there but I think Sac Sacramento is a fine team A Fine Place you know they have a lot of good players

It could be a cool fit so Pascal seak saying he doesn’t want to be there long term basically indicates to me that he’s either wanted to go to like a bigger Market or stay with the Toronto Raptors so I mean what that actually means for this Raptor group is we’re going to have

To give him that fiveyear money if Messi jury has no interest in taking a risk that Pascal might be horrible you know three four years down the line then uh he’s going to have to trade them even if it’s her Pennies on the dollar I think that’s the wrong assessment again the

Players the the front office knows more than we do just given the fact they see them every day can predict injury future and siakam’s been relatively healthy knock on wood for the future but uh for you know over the course of his career so I I think it makes sense to give him

That money to give him that contract here but we also have some other details that have come out because basically you know Pascal cakam was also rumored for this king’s trade and everything that’s going on and more details surrounding this package you know have been revealed because because the Sacramento Kings

Package for Pascal cakin was reportedly centered around Harrison Barnes Kevin herder as well as Davon Mitchell and a first round pick I’ve heard that the Sacramento Kings and TOS created a primary round U again those three players a draft compensation of a first round pick uh for Pascal seak so that’s

Basically what this report came out and said again this is a lot better than sort of just the Harrison Barn Center deal you know that was the only player and some garbage around it still not that great I even said in that video where I called the Kings front office

And embarrassing for even asking that that this package still wouldn’t be enough I guess if s Pascal made it known that he doesn’t want to be there and then uh you know the King still want to talk in discussions and maybe that’s a reasonable offer just given the

Expectation Pascal will leave in the off season I mean fair enough but frankly that’s not enough in return for the Toronto Raptors I guess if we think he’s going to leave for nothing then it’s not a horrible deal because Davon Mitchell has some potential hter has been good at

Times has had a down year this season obviously Harrison Barn can provide the three points spacing out there at the wing position at the forward slot for this Raptor group so not a completely worthless package but relative to what Pascal seak can provides in value I mean not really

Enough for me I mean this season his numbers continue to go up 22 points per game six rebounds five assists his three-point percentage if you notice has increased drastically over the past few weeks and now it’s up to close to 31% and the shooting particular has been

Really crazy since that uh trade I mean looking the right side of this graph cak’s getting a lot more shots from the corner here now at this point you know his attempts have gone up from 20% to 26% now that’s been drastically increasing over the last two games in

Terms of corner threes attempted and he’s making over half of those three-point attempts over half of his Corner three so cakam for all the trash that’s been thrown at him in regards to his jump shot he has been a lot better as a jump shooter as of late and those

Percentages just continue to go up from each distance I mean the the trade that just happened it was really revamped re unlocked Pascal siakam’s three-point shot I mean last season only getting assist on 85% of his threes now up to 95% or 97% 97.5 I mean keep this man just keep him

Mide you Jerry let’s stop looking at these deals that are just kind of mid coming back to the Toronto Raptors and let’s just give him the contract if it ends up being bad he’s not going to be a negative asset at that sort of money value teams would be interested in

Pascal so I mean this W the suns were able to trade Bradley Beal and got years of first round picks of swaps and stuff for Bradley Beal Pascal yakum unless he deal suffers a significant injy which could happen to any max player in the NBA he’s not going to get that bad in

Terms of trade value so make it happen Messi that’s my call but you know unless you get some insane package in return but let me know what you guys think in the comments section down below you guys the best to make it this far again subscribe to the channel if you guys

Haven’t already I’m signing up cheers

  1. How is this news? Who in their right mind would leave money on the table? Secondly ndly yes he's 30 but he started playing at 17. Most of these players have been playing since teenage years or younger. His body does not have the mileage his peers do.

  2. Max deals are also a merch and tickets investment… not a paycheck… nba teams may be concerned they may not get a good roi.. he’s not a household name outside of Toronto

  3. The fact that you actually thought that was a decent offer from sacramento is truly SUSPECT! Ngl that seems like a disrespectful offer id rather watch him walk, then take Harrisons contract. davion is not even an nba player and huerter can guard any one in the comment section on top of having a down year from there lol 😂

  4. he is absolutely sabotaging trades. are u insane? whether it be for more money for himself or any other reason.. if you give reasons to tank your value and prevent trades.. that is the definition of sabotage… he is doing this deliberately.. to obstruct trades.. for his own gain.. this is the exact definition of sabotage… come on man

  5. I would be really interested in some Raps salary breakdown possibilities if Siakam actually gets his 48 mil a year deal. Is there a way to pay him, Barnes, Quickley, Barrett, Poeltl and still have money to fill in a decent bench? Salary cap is most likely going to go up 10% a year for the forseeable future so that's also something to consider. Imo Raps have all but completely committed to building around Scottie and giving Siakam a 5 year 240+ mil contract doesn't really fit with that trajectory in a lot of ways. I suppose they could just trade him after they sign him which would save the team from another VanVleet-esque debacle. Have to do everything to avoid that scenario.

  6. Pascal is neglecting the obvious fact that the team is building around a younger scottie barns . People our saying that he’s holding us hostage because he knows that. Pascal does know they want to trade him for younger prospects to build around Scottie. So with all that being said pascal stubbornness is affecting the raptors rebuilding.

And im not worried about where pascal’s goes i know he’s gonna have a better chance of winning if they trade him to a contending team he’s to damn stubborn

  7. Pascal is doing exactly what he should be doing. Pascal isn't going to another team this deadline unless we see major offering. Which is what Masami is waiting for. If we don't get a massive haul for Pascal this trade deadline, he will sign a 5 year max here for sure. Masai is a master at the macro game. In masai we trust.

  8. Gotta lot of trust and faith in Siakam there. This is a good thing, hopefully he gets his bag and things do work out for Toronto, but I'm not holding my breath on it.

  9. I like Siakam but we’ve got to start thinking about the future of this team. You could very well have a starting 4 of, and fill out the weak bench we have at the moment with either more younger players or vets. Keeping Siakam would greatly hinder moves we can make to build towards another title.
    PG: IQ
    SG: GTJ
    SF: RJ
    PF: Barnes.
As much as I like Siakam, he’s simply not a superstar nor will he ever be. He will never be a 27ppg 8rpg and 5apg type player that shoots 50/40/80 splits.

  10. we do not have to give him the max if other teams don't give him the max. give him an offer of $40M and tell him to shop around, if he gets more give us an opportunity to beat it. Nobody will pay the 40M probably (maybe Detroit might) then wait for him to come back and offer him more if need be. I think Raps can offer the most.

  11. About time you came around and start talking about the 5 year max. That's the only way he stays. You are offering more than any other team can give.

  12. How do you make the money work.

How do you extend siakam, IQ and Gary while maintaining enough money to max scottie when eligible?

  13. but pascal isn't worth a max over 5 years… sorry, i just don't see how we can support this overvaluation. by all means, he can try to get his bag somewhere else, but i don't see many (or any team for that matter) offering him a 5 year max deal. $160m over 4 years is much more reasonable for all parties and takes into consideration his inevitable decline over the next few years. if he cared about the team's success and valued himself what he is actually worth, he would accept that deal in a heartbeat. i don't think he has any loyalty to the city of toronto nor the management so time to move him.

  14. @benrogers any team trading for siakam with bird rights has leverage. i say trade him to detroit that is willing to give siakam a max and see if he leaves 40 million on the table to leave the pistons. i guarantee you contenders wont pay siakam a max, cuz they dont have the cap space and they wont be willing to pay siakam 48 million as 3rd option on a contender.

  15. Pascal is friends with FVV (gotta bet on yourself) they also friends with Derozan (PTSD don’t trust the front office) – and in the end it’s always a business.

  16. Sign him, negotiate a small pay cut. Our core is win now and still growing. For the next five years we are looking at an all NBA in his prime, three borderline all stars entering their primes. This is a group that can compete anywhere.

  17. I have an absolutely delusional idea that is not going to happen, but could you imagine if pascal and masai come up with a master play to trade pascal at the deadline for more and more assets and then pascal doesn't extend with the team he gets trade to and resigns with us in the offseason?!? That'd be crazy 🤣

  18. If they don’t extend him, I wouldn’t be shocked if he gets moved to a team no one has been talking about. The Knicks were mentioned as an OG suitor but no one really took it seriously given the legal drama and the “rumored” returns. Then they end up with a much better than expected package. You could argue age and fit were factors in that scenario, but OG is also a pending free agent. There had to be back channel assurances that he would re-up with the Knicks. If something similar comes along for Siakam and he/his people give an indication on the DL that he’d be willing to stick with them long term I could see a better package coming back than we’ve been hearing.

  19. I think Raptor fans need to be a little more realistic about a 20+ ppg all NBA caliber player who would rather stay in Toronto than go to California. That’s not a player that comes around very often. Especially for us.

  20. So Pascal is out tonight with back spasms? Okay. I could be wrong, but it looks like he is going to make it impossible to trade him before the deadline.

  21. Extend Pascal! How can some people be mad at a player that wants to stay in Toronto?

Pascal should be the first Raptors player to play their entire career in Toronto.

  22. You need to give Pascal his money he fits in long term KD Curry Are both 35 still in prime shape.

Toronto is not getting anyone better this way your only 2 role players from being a top 4 team in the east.

You’ll have 4 guys in your starting line up that can give 25 on any given night.

Dennis and Trent can give you 20 any given night

Porter and Bouchée great off the bench 3 and D guys

Toronto only problem is at the starting and backup centre position.

  23. To me the years are not issue I just don’t think he has done well in playoffs without Kawhi and Kyle. Many years we have not even made playoffs. So the 5 years are fine but not max money. It should be a descending contract with age to help with future cap issues and trade friendly. This should have been done last offseason and then the trade value might be more but you likely could not find enough money for future trades.

  24. If we trade Pascal we would require a forward. It also brings an issue of having too many good players and juggling the salary cap.

  25. Damn Sacramento—gated communities are in gated communities. California is becoming a deserted island and states like Texas are infested with those refugees. Siakam is killer; he’s creating almost every play for himself and he’s unselfish—he’s stable while Barnes is typically limping after bad shots and turnovers.
