Uh the First Flight of the day back to Philly but before we do that I want to talk to y’all about last night’s game I’ve been thinking I mean I’ve been going back and forth back and forth back and forth you know wondering or not if

This was a bad loss now what I mean by that they should have won the game I mean the Sixers in the clutch the Sixers had several opportunities to do something and they didn’t they they they just couldn’t come through in the clutch I mean you can say

There was a time when Maxi got stripped they say he got shot blocked but look like he got stripped uh with 1.5 seconds left in regulation then there was like them being outscored or the Hawks closing out the game in overtime on the 10-0 run you know the Sixers you know they they

Missed their last five shots and had a critical uh turnover in that point there was a time in the in the fourth quarter where Maxie and and Tobias just kept missing bunnies like I mean like wow it was crazy so you look at it and you say to yourself

Like Sixers had every opportunity to win this game and they lost so they left some they they left some golden opportunities they just blew it but then you say another thing is now they’re two and seven without MB which isn’t good they have a three game Los

Streak which is the highest of the Season or the longest of the season right so there’s a lot of things that were you say that’s negative but the fact that Joel wasn’t there uh the fact that Tobias Harris for the most part played extremely well the fact that

Mount Maxi was able to bounce back in the second half and have a solid game I really don’t know if I should be critical or if I should praise them for how they played and again the weird part is I think that I need to be critical a little bit is

Because the Hawks with that win are 15 and 21 they’re still one of the worst teams in the east right but the Sixers just were able to Prevail and able to win so you I don’t know what to do now when you look at it you know Kelly UB struggled I mean Kelly

UB uh shot three from 11 from the field uh he had seven points he was a minus 8 he was 0 for three on threes right um You Look at Marcus Morris he had 17 points he was four for n shooting three of eight now there was

One point where he three for eight on threes there was a point in the first half where he was three or five from threes and he shot four or six in the in the first half so it seems like in the second half he didn’t have that

Production that he had right to carry over now you can look at that two ways though because there was a point where I felt like in the third quarter that I was shocked that Marcus didn’t really play that much because in the second quarter he was basically the guy I mean

He was the guy who kept them in the game but then when the third quarter came it was kind of like they went away from him and I’m just trying to get it so in the third quarter what he did is he played 3 minutes and 16 seconds he had two points

He missed his only shot shot attempt which was a free he did make two foul shots but I don’t know like Kelly UB played six minutes 6 minutes 39 seconds in the third quarter I felt like Marcus Morris deserved more minutes I mean just because he was hot in the first half I

Mean before maxi came alive in the third quarter with nine points on four for six shooting it was all about Tobias Harris and Marcus Morris so with that being said I felt like maybe they could have gone to him a little bit more now the one thing is mooma played well better

Than Paul Reed so Mo Boma actually was the guy who got denied in overtime um you know moamba had three blocks um they basically utilize his length and everything like that but um you know I I don’t know man I just don’t now the thing is the Sixers don’t seem to be

Paranoid upset just that Tyrese Maxi was like listen we got to focus on winning like as long as we focus on doing what we got to do we’ll be fine um Nick baton is like look are we gonna turn this thing around teams go through this you

Know we got a lot of basketball left to play and it’s easy to take that approach right it’s extremely easy to take that approach based off of with the things we talked about and be not playing um guys not being able to get you know you know

Sleep or whatever or or things like that other guys coming off injury so it’s it’s easy for you to come back and say that right that is going to be great but then you say to yourself now but you also put yourself in a situation to where it’s

Now Friday’s game of Sacramento is that become a must-win game I mean do you have to win and then let’s face it like if you don’t win if you win that game but then you lose on Monday night against Houston right do you say uh team isn’t

Really playing well so I feel like right now yes it’s early but I also feel like the Sixers are putting themselves in a must-win situation like I believe that they have to win this next game in order for them to um you know feel good about

Themselves I think if they lose the next game I think it could get a little critical because see here’s the thing you know let’s we can’t exclude talk and think about how Nick Nur was saying hey look no matter who’s out there we all have to come out there and bust our tail

And play guys can’t use excuses about players not being on the floor well typically when you hear a coach say that it’s kind of like he’s like y we we need to step up our play right so when I heard that it’s kind of like yeah the Sixers need to step up

Their play so I feel like if they lose again you know get a little rough for it could it could I mean not rough but it’s like a lot of the stuff that they were believed in earlier you know some guys may start questioning things not saying they questioning the coach but they

To take over a game but what he does is he he whatever his role is for that night he fulfills it but the fact that he won this honor I’m not shocked I’m not surprised um and the great thing about it is when he did it when he when he

When he told me he won it he was shocked because he was shocked but he wasn’t shocked he wasn’t shocked because of the stuff that he does but he was shocked because he W it’s weird I know that’s a weird dynamic but it’s in other words he

Knows the stuff that he does will probably get him recognized by people but he’s not doing it for that so it’s one of those things where he did it from the kindness of his heart but he didn’t do it to to get an award so that’s why he’s a little

Shocked that he got the award because this wasn’t something that he he set out to do right but at the same time you know this is what he’s doing what he always wanted to right this is what and he knows he’s putting a lot of time and effort into it

Brother uh Mari and you know just keep it moving and he even said he’s representing his thing uh he’s representing him and his brother tomorrow now his brother plays for the Dallas Mavericks so it’s one of those things where he couldn’t do it it would have been nice probably if they

He did it technically was his first game back but all he did was he missed one game like he he got injured against the Knicks late in the third quarter and what happened is he didn’t he didn’t return to the game he jammed his ankle he didn’t return to the

Game and then from there he didn’t play in in Saturday’s game right so he didn’t play in the second end of a backtack but yesterday last night he finished with 32 points which is one point shy of his season high right he shot 12 for 24 he

Was one for two on threes he was seven seven seven for seven from the foul line he had a team High uh 10 rebounds he had um four assists he had one block and like I said he was a um had 32 points so he played well you know there was times

In the fourth quarter though where I looked at Tobias and he played well but I felt like he was rushing shots a little bit in the fourth but for the most part he played well like he really did like you know you look at it he shot

Four for nine in the first half he ended up with what shooting uh 12 for 24 so you know things worked out I mean he you know he got better as not should to say better but everything was fine now in the fourth quarter this is the thing he had four he

Had 10 points in the fourth quarter on four for seven shooting seven of his rebounds came in the fourth so he was balling you know he really was so you got to give him Credit Now the thing is in overtime I believe he shot one for three

He did he shot one for three in overtime but you know I felt he I felt he looked good now there was times where he missed bunnies he was one for three he had two points he was a negative seven but then also Tyrese Maxi was also one for three he

Had three points um uh you know uh who else Kelly UB was one for two Nicholas Paton missed his only shot that was that huge three um and Patrick Beverly missed the three so that’s what it is that’s what it was so I liked what Tobias did I felt like he played

Well social media social media he missed the bunny he got his shot blocked time so people were real critical of that but I felt like he played well you know now I just want to tell yall like I wish I could show y’all outside but I have to turn my computer

Around but it’s like I said it’s like early in the morning it’s 3:30 in the morning um I’m looking now at my phone not to be rude but the guy is telling me that he’s downstairs so I’m about to get out of here um I’ll have a podcast tomorrow
