Bummer that the arena will be closed for events/concerts in the offseason, but this is probably a good thing for the team and city in the long term. Keeps the Hornets locked into Charlotte for decades (never something that a small/medium market should take for granted) and the upgraded arena should provide for a better experience for games and other events too over the long term.
Have a feeling ownership is going to clean house with the front office and coaching staffs after this season now that they’ve settled in. The team is nowhere near ready to contend, but the cupboard is far from bare here either. Another high lottery pick coming in this year too. A good coach/GM combo can have an exciting competitive team here within a year or two with some smart moves and a little bit of luck.

I know most of the reactions will be “RENOVATE THE FRONT OFFICE LOL”
But staying on topic, this is a good thing to see a new practice facility etc. personally i don’t care much at all about concessions and all that but a lot of people do so smart to upgrade those

Looks like they’re taking out the “royal boxes” above the lower bowl and closing in the concessions to make room for the new seats.

This is awesome! Can’t wait to see it all happen. As a newer hornets fan from the last couple of years, I need to get to a game soon to see what it’s like right now. I’ve only been there once.
