How do you not see how dejounte fits our backcourt? This is jokes

  2. Dejounte would fit this team but only if Tobias is gone for a shooter

60 million could bring back 3 players in the 15-20 million range. Doesn’t have to be a max guy.

Or absorb a trade into the cap space. Either max or 1/2 max guys.

Can you do better than Tobi, Melton, Batum in free agency with 3 slots at 20 million?

Murray is most likely headed to LA it sounds like.

The whole idea that teams can’t win with 3 “max” players is wrong.

Last year, Jokic, Murray, and MPJ combined for 95 mil, with Aaron Gordon making 20.7 himself.

The year before, Steph, Klay, and Dray combined for 107 mil, with Wiggins making 30.6 himself.

The year before, Giannis, Middleton, and Jrue combined for 88mil.

If you want to win, you have to pay good players to play for you.

  6. If Murray goes to LA, I think we gotta revisit Zach Lavine. Could get him and a 3 and D like Dorian finney smith

I’m not wasting time trying to come up with potential framework for deals, they almost always end up being 3 or 4 team deals

They have more than 60 million in cap space in the scenario they only bring back Paul Reed, Tyrese Maxey, Joel Embiid, and Jaden Springer.

     Joel Embiid: 51.5 million
    Paul Reed: 7.7 million
    Jaden Springer: 4.5 million
Tyrese Maxey: 13.1 million cap hold

Projected by Sportrac (estimate based on roughly 10% increase):
    Cap: 142 million
    Luxury Tax: 172 million
    Super Tax: 190 million

So that leaves them 65 million under the cap, 95 million under luxury tax, and 113 million under super tax.

Based on past history, spending into luxury tax is what will happen. In that scenario,  you replace Maxey’s cap hold with his rookie max, and you have 70-72 (depending if it’s a 4 or 5 year) million in cap space to the luxury tax, or about 90 million under the 2nd apron.

We know the sixers are comfortable spending well into that luxury tax if they got a chance. And yes, you have to account for the nba mins that fill out the roster, but that leaves you with about 75 million in cap to play with.

  9. Calling it now…Tobias doesn’t get signed in FA, by anybody 👋
