[The Ringer] “Communication is unbelievable,” said Harden. “Lue allows me to just be free, be who I am…. It’s everything I thought it would be”

> “Communication is unbelievable,” said Harden. “\[Lue\] allows me to just be free, be who I am. And like I said previously, that’s not just scoring, with me reading defenses, seeing the different games, and putting Kawhi and PG in better positions, in the pick-and-roll with Zu or DT getting easy layups. It’s everything I thought it would be.” Lue, for his part, has said that there have been times when he’s geared up to tell Harden something, only to realize the guard was already thinking it

Every player who has ever played for him says Lue is Coaching Jesus.

Let’s give the man his flowers. 🌺

Why do I have this bad feeling that this quote is going to be featured prominently someday after everything goes sour

We are still in the ‘new relationship glow’ phase of the harden cycle… let’s hold off on judgement for a bit. It always starts this way.

No dirty slimy snakes like Daryl morey in the clipper organization

Sounds just like when he got to Houston, Brooklyn and Philly. According to Doc Rivers things went sour in Philadelphia when he was named an all-star as an injury replacement.

As long as nothing absolutely bonkers, unprecedented and devastating like that happens (can you imagine a player being named an *injury replacement* all-star?!?!) he’ll be fine there. ^^/s

He said the CP3 partnership was love at first sight. Let’s pump the brakes

Edit: Jesus, you people can’t seem to make a distinction between being a great team, and getting along someone you claimed was perfect fit.

im glad they seem so happy. probs the best the clippers have looked since lob city. would be nice to have 4 HOF win the first one for socal, and for the 2010s nostalgia.

Yes, giving the ball to the winningest player of the generation yields great results. Imagine being someone who genuinely thought this wasn’t gonna work out assuming good health.

Has won more games than any player in the league since rookie season 2009-10.

Highest win% of any active player with over 800 games played.

“Hey, why is that Monkey’s Paw curling?” – Ty Lue

Remind me in 6 month when we hearing “Steve Balmer is a liar”

  12. Klaytheist

Didn’t he say this in Brooklyn and Philly too?

  13. InsideHangar18

That’s cool. Let’s see if he feels that way when he gets left off the all star team again.

If the Clips are healthy, I don’t see how they aren’t the clear favorite to win the chip

Championship winning coach, a big three, good supporting cast, and one of the best equipment managers with the cleanest uniforms

Jordan just needed to trust his coach and teammates too.

  16. I still remember him wanting Lue to coach the Rockets

  17. I really wants clippers to take one, but my second option would be Celtics unfortunately

  18. Confident_Cap_9500

Wouldn’t be surprised if they signed Blake Griffin to a minimum deal .

Glad he’s happy and it’s living up to his expectations. He was certainly determined to get to the clippers.

I would say he has ‘regressed’ back to his 6MOTY type of play every night, which was his #2 most efficient season of his career, after this season.

Only the difference in that Harden and current is that’s he’s a much better playmaker and floor general from years of playing against NBA defences. I would argue he’s not far removed from his prime.

This team is the best supporting cast he has had in his career so anything other than a finals appearance this season would be a big letdown IMO.
