Haynes is very reputable, anything can change tho between now and the deadline, most likely depends on the offers, raps prolly think they can get a good offer tho

there’s a high likelihood that nobody knows shit

Feel like theres a trade we like but are waiting to see what else is there before we pull the trigger. Could be why we arent playing pascal atm

  4. this is big news…..I’d say at least 80% chance Siakam is gone.

  5. king_lloyd11

I don’t see this as anything new. Reports have always been that it’s very likely that we trade Pascal by the trade deadline.

When I saw “verge” on the report, I thought it was a deal being finalized.

  6. I’m gonna take this as truth on the basis Chris Haynes was the same person Pascal’s camp went to for that leak about not re-signing with whoever traded for him in the off season

Basically Haynes is Pascal’s mouthpiece merchant just as he is for Damian Lillard

Wants max money and term. Thanks for everything Pascal!

  8. 2Shizo2flow

Going to miss the past 3 years of constant edging.

  9. earlyearlgray

Idkkk none of these people saw the OG trade coming

FO could not have handled this Pascal situation worse

Really makes me sad cause an extension has made so much sense all the way back to the summer. Now we’re gonna trade him for pennies on the dollar.

  11. If he is gone, what a ride it’s been with him true raptor for life.

  12. darthrevan22

This whole saga is so dumb. Inexplicable why, if it’s from Toronto’s end, they haven’t actively been pushing for an extension. Has there been even a single report indicating Siakam wants to leave? Just because he wants to reach free agency does not mean he has any intention of leaving, it was just to try and qualify for the super max (wasn’t this explicitly stated??).

  13. TinnieTa21

It really seems like Pascal’s camp has taken all of the leverage away from the FO. Waste of an opportunity not even communicating with Pascal during the offseason.

  14. timbitfordsucks

They way the org has treated him, we deserve to get shit pieces like kuminga and moody in a trade for him.

Maybe this will teach Masai for the future not treat your star players like shit

  15. TheCouchEmporer

Will all the fans that want to keep Siakam stop watching the team?

  16. MinesweeperGang

Gonna be bitter sweet for sure. Just hope the Raptors get good value in the trade.

I fucking hate this timeline. We have one of the top player in this league, one of the rare guys that are positive both offensively and defensively, someone with a great attitude, that works hard and over that he loves playing here and all this organization is trying to do is get rid of him. I can’t see a real good reason why they want to get rid of him so much other than greed, they don’t want to pay him, it’s as simple as that.

I feel bad about this cuz the dude has done nothing but ball the fuck out for us. The man deserve every penny he’s going to be eligible for.

IMHO the OG trade has forced me to re-evaluate the whole Pascal situation.

First of all, I don’t think extending Siakam was ever Plan A. They want to build around Scottie, and Siakam isn’t consistent with that timeline. However, I think it was definitely a possible Plan B if they were unable to make a move to acquire guys who DO fit that timeline.

Now that they have gotten RJ and IQ, extending Siakam isn’t as attractive of an option. It would likely put us in the luxury tax and restrict our flexibility going forward. So unless you think we are suddenly contenders, keeping Siakam doesn’t make a whole lot of sense.

On the other hand, had we not been able to complete a deal like the one we did, the arguments for keeping Siakam are stronger. Especially if we wound up not taking back longer term salary commitments, in which case the luxury tax would be less of an issue.

And while the end result may be that we wind up getting a worse return for him than we might have previously, because of what we got for OG, we can afford to be a little less particular in our demands. Now we can take draft picks. Now we can take young role players who may not be potential stars.

If he actually does get traded I hope it’s to Indiana cuz I like their trade assets the best and I feel they might want him now to hold them down while Haliburton is hurt.

  21. This is so sad man. Dude’s our homegrown star, I wonder what happened to make it get to this point

  22. YogurtResponsible785

There’s way too much smoke at this point. It’s happening.

  23. Anyone else sick of these everyday updates that basically say nothing?

  24. PsychologicalHall905

I just spoke with Dirk Nowitzki and Mavs looking to please Luka… FYI Dirk loves Toronto

  25. OG_anunoby3

Pascal gonna pull a Mats Sundin on us. Prevent any trades and then sign with Philly in the offseason at his own pace and comfort.

  26. ContributionOld2338

The report about masai ghosting him was all I needed to know, I’m guessing he’s gone, masai is just waiting the best deal he can get… his biggest criticism has been loosing players for nothing, I highly doubt he lets that happen with pascal

  27. FolloMiSensi

so basically what everyone been saying the last 2 years

  28. BubblyPhilosophy3476

hopefully siakams fans go with him when siakam is traded. I like siakam but i cant stand his die hard fan base
