The Nets should think ahead and blow it up

So I look at a Brooklyn Nets team let’s talk about them for a second they’re 15 and 16 they’re game below 500 to add some contexts Miss claxon for 10 games Ben Simmons has been out for 26 games cam Thomas has missed nine games Lonnie Walker 14 games cam Johnson has missed

Eight games they’ve had injuries what team hasn’t but they’ve had a lot but even with them at their fullest strength I only projected them to be around a ninth seated team and that’s because when I look at their roster I see solid players making up a solid team getting

Solid coaching and playing solid basketball and a strong conference I see a team that at some point is going to have to make a move and accept the reality of we’re not that team so for me what I’mma to do is instead of trying to

Fight for the eth seed in a playin spot I’m going to get it ahead of the curve they should really blow it up I’m giving cam timeas three rign you came out this season on fire looking like a legitimate guy who can really score and carry an offense Nicholas claxon you showed us

Signs we’re going to invest in that so I look at the Brooklyn Nets and I say that’s my number one team that I say blow it up man

  1. Blowing it up isn't a decision that should be taken lightly. I believe P has put a lot of thought into calling for a blow-up, but fans need to consider the risk that taking a radical tanking path involves. It's all good to say "hunt for a generational talent at the top of the draft and build around him", until your franchise is on a 25+ game losing streak. That's tough to ask fans to support a team that just punted on possibly years of their team playing enjoyable basketball. I don't think the Nets are on a title path right now but neither were the Bucks until they hit on the 15th pick of the draft, neither were the Raptors before swinging a trade for Kawhi, or the Nuggets before hitting on a 2nd round pick, I just feel like there's a lot of ways to build a contending team and folks should be a little more careful about demanding to rebuild when it could go wrong. Could be committing to sucking as a team for years.

  2. They don’t have their own picks so this season there is no reason to but I understand getting rid of guys whose value will decrease in the future like dfs Royce dinwiddie

  3. They need to make history and trade Mikal to the Knicks. We have picks. They have the wing we need. Put aside petty rivalry and there's 3 to 4 picks on the table easy

  4. I dont really agree with that they have traded some of their picks so why would they try to tank. if they trade them for solid players and maybe one or two picks is it worth it thats probably the real question to ask

  5. Grizzlies should trade for Mikal or Cam Johnson. I’d be willing to throw 3-4 first round picks and some young players

  6. I would love mikal bridges and finney smith on the kings. The nets can have Kevin huerter, Harrison Barnes, Davion Mitchell, and 2-3 first round picks

  7. Horrible take since they don’t have control of their own pick for the next few seasons! They can take on a Lavine or siakam and see how it goes

  8. Why yall think P just randomly thinks Nets have all their own picks lol. Im sure he knows that, its more so about trading everyone while their value is at best. If you keep them all we not competing anyways, and risk lowering all their trade values and risk losing them for nothing.
