For clarification: Sam didn’t put LaMelo as untouchable due to his injury history. The Hornets are in an awkward spot because Lamelo’s extension kicks in next season but we’re still not a rising team (like Orlando or Pacers last season). Realistically though, Lamelo isn’t going anywhere soon. I think we can go the OKC route where they kept Shai while selling cap space for picks and rehabbing low value players.
I don’t agree with his take for Mark Williams. He put Mark below untouchable due to his injury and poor D against opposing bigs. But I think he’s still raw and learning (only started 36 games so far) and shouldn’t be moved.
For a basketball organization standpoint, Miles Bridges should be kept since his trade value is low (UFA after this season, no trade clause). We still retain his bird rights so we can pay him more IF it comes down to it, but it shouldn’t. Ideally, he should be re-signed and be shopped next season if needed, but a trade for Kuminga might be interesting.
I feel like PJ and Nick Richards are ok for rotational role players. We shouldn’t actively trade them away but I’m not sad if they are included for a trade.
I’m high on Nick Smith Jr. I would even put him at the second tier.
Everyone else should be actively shopped or not be on the roster next season (besides rookie deals).

I like hanging out on his stream. Nice to suffer all together 🥲

Gordon is just there for a paycheck. Gives you 50 games a year averaging 16 / 4 / 3 for $30 million a year and zero leadership.
