We mention in the video that of course we have to see a larger sample size from their big 3. But with Phoenix being a favorite, we feel it's important to still analyze this team as it is today. Don't worry Suns fans, we still very much believe in this team.

None of the Suns' stars are legit first options on a title team. Booker and Beal usually shrink in big moments. Durant doesn't shrink but he's never been a consistent close-out guy in his career. The Suns' most clutch and best closeout guy on either side of the ball is… checks notes …Grayson Allen. Uh oh.
Booker is overrated
No defensive pieces. No rebounders.
No true point guard to set them up for pick and roll. Not an excuse. As much they playing in the NBA for 10 years! They act like a deer in headlights and play victim ball. Suns have a defensive minded coach and they’re still not playing great defense. He’s not drawing up any plays to keep momentum going and the big 3 don’t play together, so much isoball. Idk why KD and book are never in a pick and roll.
Isn't it obvious that the game slows down at the end of games because the team that's ahead wants to limit their opponent's possessions?
Maybe it’s the fact that KD is not as good as people say he is. Neither of them are really exceptional defenders. So a cohesive defensive team will beat a team that’s just trying to one on one outscore you.

That's an interesting theory but I just think they get cold feet and can't close out a game.
When a team takes a 20 point lead in the 1st quarter it always feel like they might loose the edge and let the victory slip.
Maybe it's the coaching.. run quality plays. Also, good plays takes chemistry. Defense is really effort, energy and youth and a intelligence to box out, ect. And I stayed at a holiday Inn express last night.
