Did you guys read Kevin ‘O Connor’s article on ringer? He said the Spurs should trade for Trae and talked about how insane that Trae + Wemby matchup would be. I think that’s where all of this is coming from

Reminder that instead of quietly tanking last year when we got out of the gate slowly and fired the coach, we decided that a Play In berth and a shellacking at the hands of BOS. Meanwhile 7 of the top 10 picks have played over 700 minutes and all except Scoot have acquitted themselves pretty well.

In all honesty we are in a position where we will be trading away before the deadline. A competent front office (not sure we have one) might not even be able to rebuild the team fast enough to be decent next season when we will be giving the Spurs our first round pick.
I saw something on the NBA subreddit saying Murray would welcome being traded back to the Spurs. Whether it be Murray or Trae, this franchise would probably be best off trading for its picks back from the Spurs.
