Think out of anybody on this roster Shaden sharp is the guy I worry about the most in terms of his aggressiveness I just think he’s much better when he’s more aggressive with the ball in his hands but he does have a tendency to float a bit offensively or just kind of
Take a backseat which for somebody with his talent level and his athleticism should never be the case he should be trying to impose his will on an NBA game at all times yesterday against the Brooklyn Nets he had some big time buckets and you saw the shanen sharp
That we’ve seen numerous times this season impose his will on on an NBA game now while his stats are up he’s averaging 16 and 1 12 points per game five boards and three assists his efficiency is down he’s shooting 46% from Two and 34% from three however his
Play has been a bit of a roller coaster he’s had super impressive stretches of play including a five-game streak where he scored at least 24 points in all those games he ended up missing five games in a row at the end of December and he’s had stretches where he’s played
Enormous amounts of minutes and that might have led to some fatigue during some of the stretches where he struggled I’ve been a proponent of trying to cap his minutes at 36 a game that’s around the cap that most NBA coaches put on their starters to not overplay them but
I do think he needs to be playing heavy minutes and when you look at yesterday’s game against the Nets which sharp came off the bench and he played 40 minutes now of course that was an overtime so if it ended in regulation probably would have been about 35 minutes a game and
You can say it doesn’t really matter who starts games it’s more about who ends games and I don’t necessarily disagree with that however I do wonder if starting games or coming off the bench could affect his mindset going into things some players are just simply much better Starting Games than coming off
The bench you’re able to build a rhythm as the game begins and it requires a little different mindset depending on if you’re starting or not and the last thing I want Shaden sharp to do is take a backseat on this team he is one of the most important core pieces of this
Entire franchise right now it’d be hard to argue that any one player is more important to the the future of the Portland Trailblazers they Shaden sharp his development is Paramount the Blazers need to find ways to get him to be more aggressive I’m not sure bringing him off

Simons to Moni Kamar because the Blazers definitely need to get him to be more aggressive or does it not really matter and his yesterday’s game an example of that where he scored 21 points I will say in that game yesterday there was some bad defensive moments where it felt
Like he wasn’t giving a 100% effort he only had one Rebound in those 40 minutes only one assist as well so it was a pretty limited game outside from the scoring I would love to see him start next to Anthony Simons and Scoot Henderson to truly get a feel for if
That three-man Trio can work in the long term because they’ve played a little bit together the return has not been good so far the season however it’s such a small sample size that I’m not sure you can read too much into it and guys need to gain chemistry playing amongst one each
Other in certain lineups and when you have three Dynamic guards sometimes the balance of how things work on the offensive end is tough to figure out it’s easy when you’re going out there and you’re clearly the guy and you can jack up 25 shots with full confidence
It’s a little bit harder when you got other guys next to you that also have the ball in their hands that also can make things happen and it becomes a question of how aggressive should I be as an individual player considering I got dudes next to me that can also get
It done how much should I defer to them it’s a little bit more tricky in terms of figuring out that balance between a trio of dynamic guards than it is if you only have one of them on the floor I would like for the Blazers to start
Trying to figure out that Dynamic by playing sharp Scoot and ant as much together as possible and I also think when the Blazers have given sharp more response responsibility whether it’s starting games defending the best opposing player handling the majority of the ball handling duties I think when
Sharp has been given more responsibility he has been a better player and he has developed well when that responsibility has been rolled back a little bit I don’t think the returns have been as good and that’s part of the reason why I am uncomfortable with bringing shanen
Sharp off the bench because I’m not sure it’s the best thing for his long-term development I’m not saying that any of the guys starting ahead of of them haven’t necessarily earned it I think tamman Kamara has earned his starting spot right now because he’s the Blazer’s best defender in my opinion most
Versatile Defender he gets it done on a night in Night Out basis he’s an extremely impressive defensive player for a rookie but I don’t know if scoot Henderson has necessarily earned it and Scoot had been playing good coming off the bench now given that scoot’s playing better I understand chony want to start

Probably continue to bring scoot Henderson Off the Bench continuing to start Anthony Simons at point guard and Shane sharp at shooting guard Anthony Simons as the starting point guard has had some really impressive games so far this season and Scoot Henderson didn’t end the game yesterday Brogden was in

Continue to start tamman Kamara which I’m okay with I think at this point the best lineup is Simon at Point Sharpie shooting guard Kamar at small forward Grant it power forward and then whoever the hell our starting Setter Is On Any Given night because who knows what’s up

Yessssss bro I haven’t tuned into the past few games but I was like why isn’t he starting. We gotta see if a future of scoot, sharpe, and simons can work. He’s way more important to our future than Camara, though I like him.
Sharpe needs to start period. Let Scoot be the primary ball handler off the bench.
Sharpe is sulky about not starting and that attitude seems to dampen his enthusiasm when he comes off the bench. Some players would have their competitive instinct triggered by that situation and play more aggressively and try to maximize their efficiency to show they should be starting. Sharpe, so far seems to be a retreater, not a fighter and that observation is independent of him deserving to start. Sharpe is not wrong, he should be starting over Scoot. But not letting team politics affect his play could be a step in his maturation Sharpe hasn't made yet. There's still time he is young but right now it isnt a good look. Sharpe needs to realize he, not Scoot gets the money minutes at the end of the game and he is getting every opportunity to shine if the game is close at the end.
Scoot needs to come off the bench. Sharpe has proven himself and needs to rewarded. Sharpe would’ve had 4-5 assists yesterday if his teammates had made their shots or hadn’t passed out of open shots

Yes Sharpe should start scoot can come off bench he does better off bench Brogdon needs to get traded these young players need to have playing time I feel u should earn your starting spot u can’t get consistency if you don’t have the same group playing together chancy has no clue what he is doing he seems to play his favorites Ayton can get traded he clogs the center so point guard can’t drive in he doesn’t get rebounds. It's the worst possible decision Billups can make. Scoot is still a rookie and could really benefit from coming off the bench this year. Sharpe on the other hand was making his case for most improved player of the year, then he got hurt. I don't think I've ever seen a situation where a player is breaking out as a Bonafide star, gets hurt and what seems like a punishment for his injury, he is sent to the bench. Maybe it's personal between Billups and Sharpe, maybe it's precautionary, I don't know. What I do know is the impact that type of move can have on a young developing player. This could severely damage trust between him and the coaching staff and possibly worse, the organization. The Blazers SUCK this year and the one silver lining in this season was Sharpe's ascension to stardom. So much hangs on this situation because I do believe Sharpe is HIM! If the Blazers somehow manage to blow this opportunity and he leaves, or they trade him I will turn my back on the Blazers and will no longer be a fan.
Sharpe and ant should be the starting backcourt for the next decade + they are elite that’s a fact

Scoot will never be half as good as scoot so why would you want him starting??? Scoot needs to be traded asap for a first or a player.
Sharpe needs minutes at the 2 in order to get the skill development he needs. starting or not, playing him at the 3 all the time is slowing down his offensive development, given how unimaginative our offense is.

Comes down to coaching. They run 0 offense. On adjustments defensively. They are going to blame Shaedon when it's actually Chauncey. Let's hope this doesn't break Shaedon confidence and we ruin another great player under this leadership.
New Blazer fan since this year (cause of toumani 😂), so I didn't know much of sharpe before this season but he should defenitely start. He's our biggest talent and this year should be used to develop him as much as they can.
Agree, he should be starting. The coaching staff should focus on Shaedon Sharp's development as their priority mentally and physically.

It’s just doesn’t make sense to me what Billups is doing … when sharpe is aggressive & has the ball in his hands he’s effective so why not have him in the starting lineup knowing he’s top 2 priority wise on the developmental scale … I feel like sharpe should be starting at the 3 for now w Henderson & Simon’s OR Simon’s & sharpe in the back court playing like 34 min so you keep him fresh not fatigued … on top of all of this I need some plays being called for sharpe pin downs & back door alleys like cmon 🤦🏻♂️
They got the whole starting lineup screwed up I don’t get it.
Shaedon is already an elite-level athlete in terms of talent, arguably the biggest talent on the team. He just needs to work on ball handling and play-making/ game reading, and reduce those t/o ratio. but I have no doubt he is not a role player which looks like Blazer is trying to lay the path for him.
