I love Grimes but it makes sense.

I think with the way Donte is shooting I think it makes this move easier. If Murray is the target. I think a deal of:

    – Fournier Grimes Bucks 2025 pick is fair value

We still have 2 late 1st round picks where we could potentially hit again with another Grimes / IQ. We need some rookie contracts on the payroll anyway to offset the contracts OG and Hartenstein are going to get

Quentin Grimes was a REALLY good 2nd year starter on a playoff team last season, but it seems everyone has forgotten about that now.

Man all of our homegrowns are leaving…kinda sad 😞

Why isn’t Grimes a good fit? Good defensive player, excellent from 3. Key contributor to a second-round playoff team last year.

I definitely don’t get what the worse-on-defense and worse-from-3 Murray is so much better at that he should be our highest paid player starting next season.

Do all these teams have this minute back log? Grimes is a really solid player but it’s so hard to get him consistent minutes on the way this team is constructed

  6. The team is going to build around Thibs, and will soon lose all of it’s soul because of it. It is what it is.

The solution is thibs fixes his rotations.

There shouldn’t be a need to move grimes. You can move Fournier and picks for a creator and a rotational big and that fixes a lot. Unless Grimes brings in a stud there’s no reason to do it.

The solution is just in how you use him and the rotational fixes. IE. Not putting in line ups devoid of playmaking. Grimes can still fit in most line ups.

Grimes is a backup player. That’s all he will ever be on our team. When his shot drops, he’s a star. But when his shot is off or when defenders are on him, he’s a bench scrub. If the Knicks can bag themselves a guy like Murray or Spida, he can go along with picks. Fact of the matter is we need better than him in order to take the next step.

Either trade for Murray and potentially make a deep run in playoffs or it fails. Or knicks can hold onto this team and wait for free agency. I’m fine with both as I think the team just needs to play together more. Definitely need Randle to perform in playoffs tho or else it’s time he gets traded

We used to draft horribly l, now we get too attached to players. Grimes is not the “future” , but good trade chip

LMAO, this is the same future multiple time All-Star that people didn’t wanna trade in order to get Donovan Mitchell

Good thing we never made *that* trade!!
