MAJOR Quentin Grimes Report | Knicks Blockbuster Trade Timeline REVEALED

The New York Knicks may keep trading away young Talent as it appears that Quinton Grimes is on the trade block and we have to talk about it so what’s up guys welcome back to Nick digest it’s Chris here and before we start make sure to subscribe to the channel so you don’t

Miss any videos that 14% of people who are subscribed they’re seeing all the great content we’re putting out but let’s just jump right into it now we’re here to talk basketball not subscribers so Quinton Grimes H it’s been reported that he could be on the trade block to a

Degree and that rival GMS have mentioned Grimes as a potential name to be traded if you look right here Brett Sigel really pointed out that Quinton Grimes has suddenly become an interesting name for the Knicks to think about after signing Dante D venzo in the past off season and recently extending the

Contract of Miles McBride grimes’s future in New York is suddenly being discussed around the league it’s also been reported that rival GMS have also said that it feels like the Knicks have made him available so obviously that’s huge it’s not that surprising when you look at it I mean the Knicks have had

The same mindset for a while now which is in the summer of 2024 at least then the earliest but probably then they are going to go all systems go for a star player they’ve traded RJ and IQ already so those two guys the two best players

Of who are assets that the Knicks have who they would realistically trade have been traded now Grimes is the best player who’s an asset the Nick also have those eight first round picks that they could also use and that appears to be what the trade would be built around

Along with Evan for’s contract or a different contract that they trade for if they move for by the deadline but look it kind of sucks that the Knicks are giving away all of their young players and have gone all systems go but also I mean when you look at the Knicks

We’ve been bad for 500 years at this point the Knicks have not made the Conference Finals in since 1999 when they went to the NBA finals clearly there is some sense of urgency we’ve been patient long enough the NBA is sort of as open as it gets there’s no

Real super team right now in the era that there have been super teams the closest is the Boston Celtics but obviously they have their problems for instance if tatore porzingis goes down with an injury that team gets severely hindered so they’re not perfect they’re not completely resilient it’s not like

How if the Warriors lost Kevin Durant in 2017 they probably still would have won the finals or in 2018 for that matter because they were just that stacked up the Celtics can’t do that they’re not a super team of that Golden State Warriors level there’s not one team where it’s

Everyone’s looking at it and saying well they’re for sure going to win their conference I mean yeah the nuggets are probably going to go to the NBA finals out in the west but there’s a bunch of teams that you never know what’s going to happen to the deadline and you never

Know what could happen the nuggets are not as resilient as last year their bench is not as good as it was last year they are not an unbeatable Force like they have been in the season because you know it’s just great teamwork they weren’t doing anything shady or just

Signing every big name nope they’re just really good at basketball and were coached well the team has gotten worse just because they could not afford to bring back Jeff Green and Bruce Brown and now the NBA is more open Leon Rose has seen his chance he wants to go for

Another star while randle’s in his prime while brunson’s in his prime at a third star and just maybe the New York Knicks can contend for an NBA finals and it feels like Grimes will be a part of that I mean if you look here Fred Catz wrote

That with nearly three weeks to go until the NBA trade deadline the Knick’s priorities have been taking shape the goal according to League sources familiar with the organization’s thinking is to add someone who could help the team today and also has a contract that would be attractive in a

Hypothetical trade for a star up coming this summer but also acquiring a talented player takes giving up something good too and one name to watch is Quinton Grimes the Knicks have been actively Fielding offers for the former first round pick Accord according to rival Executives who have been in

Contact with the Knicks front office now obviously yeah um it’s not surprising but it is still something to take note of Grimes will have some value he is a former first round pick he’s only in his third NBA season and he’s shown potential as a three and D guy who maybe could blossom

Into something else more he shown a little bit of an ability off the dribble and with shot creation I don’t love the idea of giving up Quinton Grimes but it’s also if you got to do it you got to do it you can’t let something hold up because you want

To keep Quinton Grimes you can’t keep everyone when you’re trying to create a team you have to give up something good as Fred cats mentions and along with those draft picks Quinton Grimes is someone who you would give up to give a player back also now it’s also sort of

Ambiguous because we don’t know what team is going to be trading away their players come this summer we don’t know what the NBA playoffs look like we don’t know who’s going to win the NBA Finals we can’t tell the future so so it’s hard to basically say oh well this team is

Going to lose and they’re going to trade their best player and their best player has been in allar for the last four years and is a star and maybe can be the best player on a championship team and the Knicks are in the position to land them because that player would want to

Go to the East Coast or something we don’t know we have no idea what the what this is we have no idea if the team would be interested in Grimes because we don’t know what team it is and we don’t know what teams are interested in Quinton Grimes and the Knicks picks

That’s the thing however the Knicks do have the second most draft Capital to work with outside of the Oklahoma City Thunder so they will have an advantage unless the Thunder just want to swoop in trade like I would say Josh giddy but who knows if anyone wants Josh giddy now and also their

6,348 picks that they saved up for this exact moment though I think they are saving for a specific player LCA sorry cough um but I’m not Thunder digest so I’m not going to go into that that channel doesn’t exist right now um one day but really what we’re seeing

Is the potential of a trade that happens this summer but right now the Knicks are looking for role players they’re not looking to make some massive trade it’s hard to see what a team’s flaws are before they’ve ever played in the playoffs together we sort of learned the

Knicks flaws last time around in the playoffs with with the Miami Heat and the Cleveland Cavaliers even to it agrees the fact that the Knicks cannot shoot the basketball at all not one bit and now they can because they got OG and they got Dante Deen chenzo who are both

Amazing Corner three shooters not to mention dvent is just an incredible shooter overall and O noi shoots 37% from three nothing to sneeze at while Jaylen brunson’s having the best three-point career or best three-point season of his career he should be in the Three-Point Contest I hope he is that’ll be very

Fun and he’ll certainly be in allar and if not then I personally will go to Indianapolis which is truly a horrific thought to go to Indianapolis but I’d do it for for the Knicks I really would um but look here’s the deal in actuality the long-term plan remains to add a star

To the core that’s already present but the organization still does not expect the star whoever he may be to become available until the summer at the earliest and after the anobi trade Grimes the sole young player that the Knicks could throw into a deadline deal so if they traded Grimes they would want

Someone on a contract that they’d consider tradeable in return like Malcolm brogon which I’ve said before a player with a salary preferably in the teens or low 20 Millions like Malcolm Brockton which I’ve talked about that would be attract to a franchise dealing away a star in June or July maybe not

Exactly Malcolm Brockton like I’ve talked about clearly I want the Knicks to go for Malcolm Bren I think it makes sense I mean look by next year he’ll be on an expiring deal so if he gets traded away to another rebuilding team like what happened this year then you know

You could just buy them out and problem solved then you just got free cap space and a bunch of picks and that’s what rebuilding teams want anyway so it works out perfectly they could use that money sign someone else trade him at the deadline or keep Malcolm Brockton and

Trade him at the deadline to another contender I can see Malcolm Brockton starting to get passed around a lot it just would make sense but contenders could use him he’s also just such a tradable contract right now that he’ll probably get moved a few more times I

Doubt his career is going to play out with the Portland Trailblazers so that’s kind of where we’re at with that one but I mean if you look at the Knicks right now they clearly are just devoid of one more star like they’re up there in that upper echelon of the Eastern conference call

Me biased whatever you want to say I think the Knicks truly are the fourth best te in the Eastern Conference this year I think the Orlando Magic the Orlando Magic are going to get a little shell shocks come the playoffs since they’ve never been there before very few

Members of that core have ever made the playoffs obviously you got someone like Joe Engles who’s been there and as good as Joe Engles is no Joe Engles dis respect he’s only Joe Eng Les it’s not like he’s their best player is he a great player for them to have of course

But he’s not a starter I don’t think not often and he didn’t start against the Knicks and Paulo is their best player’s who’s never been there from bronze is arguably their best player over Paulo but probably their second best player who’s never been there either so then

You look at a team like the Cavs Nicks beat them Cavs didn’t really get much better Max truce was kind of an L of a signing so far no hate towards Max truce but outside of them you got the Miami Heat and it feels like maybe they’re a

Little weaker I think the Knicks and the heat are still on that bubble of not exactly in the top three of the East with the Bucks Celtics and 76ers but they’re also not with the rest of the pack because of experience and just Talent levels so I don’t really know who

That star is going to be I mean could it be Donovan Mitchell very plausibly it depends on what happens in Cleveland with the playoffs the cast will certainly be there but if they’re a team like a sixth seed and they lose in the first round and Donovan Mitchell staring

Down one more year left of his contract and he lives in Ohio he’s probably going to think to himself well could go to New York or even Brooklyn you might just want to leave the C he doesn’t seem too thrilled to be there I’m not saying he’s angry I don’t know Donovan Mitchell

Personally I have no idea what he’s thinking but I don’t think he’s too thrilled about Cleveland especially because they’re not succeeding on the path they expect it to who knows who it is maybe it’s Brandon Ingram because the Pelicans keep falling and just forgetting how to play basketball

Failing and forgetting how to play basketball not falling who knows it’s hard to tell but I’ll tell you one thing we’re going to keep you updated on that so make sure to subscribe to the channel like this video all that good stuff post notification Bell means the world to me and you’re going

To forget that you subscribed in 10 minutes anyway until you open up YouTube and think oh Nick I just posted something Chris or darel’s talking Hoops why not listen to that while I’m doing my job or playing 2K or just hanging out do whatever the hell you want turn on

The videos not going to hurt you thank you so much for watching not going to do some long outro I’m trying to stop that also real quick not going to comment on the James Dolan stuff so don’t ask have a great day go Nick

Quentin Grimes could be moved from the NY Knicks in the near future, and also Fred Katz gives an update on the Knicks plans to trade for a star, Chris Gallagher reports on it.

  1. Nobody wants those first rounders only reasons first rounders was valuable was everybody wanted a shot at Wemby. Now Wemby been drafted and there's no more of those caliber players available in the next few drafts. The 1st rounders are not as interesting

  2. Dejounte is the only attractive player that they can acquire and then trade for a star player. Fits in age, contract, durability, and talent. Top 4 in the east….. Boston, Milwaukee, Philly, Miami.

  3. Perhaps we can do business again and have a Win, Win and Win… RAPTORS, HAWKS and KNICKS 3-WAY TRADE POSSIBILITY… Cheers from Canada!

  4. No point in trading grimes for another bench player imo, only use him to trade for a star like Murray. Any of those bench players like Brogdon aren’t much of an improvement to grimes imo and he’s 8 years younger

  5. Miles McBride is a fine backup pg right now. The SG role can be stronger. The SG needs to be at least 6’5-6’6 though. We can’t have two starting guards under 6’5. Talk championship when that happens

  6. Only Trade for murray. Every backup pg no ty. Keep developing mcbride and grimes. Young, cheaper, and highly valuable then a backup pg making 20m. Havnt the knicks learned when they chose to play alec burks over quickley 2-3 years ago.

  7. People gotta remember we gotta pay grimes (i think after next season). And you know hes gonna want 10-18m. Now u gotta ask urself: is he a starter? And is he better then divincenzo? I think its a no and no. Plus who knows what OG is gonna ask for. Ship him out.

  8. ANYONE WHO KNOWS BASKETBALL KNOWS THAT JULIUS RANDALL IS THE KNICKS PROBLEM. THEY WILL NEVER BE CONTENDERS AS LONG AS RANDALL IS ON THE TEAM. HE PLAYS NO DEFENSE AND MAKES NOONE BETTER. HE PLAYS FOR HIS OWN STATS AND AGAINST GOD TEAMS MAKES NO EFFORT TO TRY AND HAVE THE REST OF THE TEAM PLAY THEIR BEST. YET HERE THE KNICKS ARE GIVING AWAY ALL THERE YOUNG PLAYERS TRYING TO GET BETTER AND STILL HOLDING ON TO RANDALL BECAUSE THIBS IS IN LOVE WITH RANDALL. THE KNICKS NEED TO PART WAYS WITH BOTH THIBS AND RANDALL.
