If their plan was to “evaluate” whether or not they should extend him, what is the criteria for extension that he hasn’t met? If they concluded that they shouldn’t extend him based on how he’s played, again, why did they wait this long to move him? He’s playing as good or better than they realistically should’ve expected. There’s no reason this decision couldn’t have been made already. This along with the weird “selfish” comments and reports of lack of communication is just super weird handling of someone as talented and accomplished as Siakam.

I don’t have a criticism of Siakam, but his agent is going to do his job and push forward as many positive narratives as possible.

Ever since lowry left, my favourite player on the raptors has been siakam, to the point where i have a lot siakam merch, even studied and replicated some of his moves when i play basketball.

I completely forgot about the pandemic version of siakam. The treatment he got was so unfair, he had no where to properly train and it was a crazy time that everyone handle differently.
His work ethic should never be questioned because he works hard and improves each season. That one year was about his comfort level and he decided to stay in
