Terry Rozier’s strong play has made the combo guard a more viable trade candidate than ever at his $24 million average annual salary, with a known preference to join the Miami Heat.

The Hornets have indicated that they will be more active this deadline, with influence from new ownership, than how the front office has conducted business in previous transaction windows. Charlotte is said to have all players available outside of LaMelo Ball, Brandon Miller and Mark Williams, per league personnel. Terry Rozier’s strong play has made the combo guard a more viable trade candidate than ever at his $24 million average annual salary, with a known preference to join the Miami Heat, league sources told Yahoo Sports. And while there’s plenty of rival interest in veteran wing Gordon Hayward, he seems more likely to change teams by way of a buyout, as opposed to a rival club sending out $30 million to match his expiring salary.

We shouldnt give away Rozier for like a 28th pick and some garbage. I have my doubts the cap space we free up will actually become anything better than Rozier.

All the Miami fans act like we’re delusional for starting the conversation at Jaquez, but you’ve got to give something to get something too. In reality I’d take salary filler, a FRP, and Jovic if push came to shove, but Jaquez would just fit so much better between Melo and Miller than Terry ever did.

What assets do they have? They were stingy in offering much for star guards Beal and dame. Jaquez would be great but I’d imagine Miami won’t involve him.

  4. It’s somewhat worth noting that this is from Fischer, whose reliability is best scored as an “Technically not 0?”

Rozier + Cody for Lowry + Jovic + a top 10 protected 1st would be nice and might be feasible.
