Don’t blame him. Look at the roster pelcunta has put around him. He has no interest in playing 35min a night while the “players” around him outside of ad decide to show up once a month
kezzinchh
There’s $50 million dollars worth of reasons why I’m not buying this.
ilIusory
We are gonna let him leave for nothing ffs. A contender could’ve traded for him with multiple picks this season. Now we’re stuck with no depth for AD along with no sight of a #2 option for the foreseeable future
Odd-Direction9452
Anyone with some sense knows LeBron has his eyes on Philly.
StoneColdAM
Ideally I bet he’d stay in LA on a contender and get his son on the team. Lakers have mismanaged a lot though and the gains from last year seem to have washed away.
Clippers aren’t an option because of the Kawhi and PG, but Phoenix and GSW are close enough to LA while plausibly being able to compete and afford LeBron.
Front office doesn’t seem to worried about catering to him, so maybe they know he’ll stay (or they’re just stupid).
im-a-drawl
$51.4 million player option next season. So is he going to opt in and request a trade? He’s not opting out of that kind of money.
rejectx
If he wants to leave it’s fine, but ideally he would op in and we get something back, but we will see.
Stackers42
Just another example of him putting pressure on the FO to make sure we are as competitive as possible, even if that means trading what picks/assets we have to better the team now. Can’t imagine he’s gonna move teams for the last year or 2 he’s got left.
DamnImAss
They should cut him loose now, the Lebron era is over. This season is a bust
15-cent
At this point, I think it’s pretty clear that the title window has closed. There’s no move they can realistically make to become contenders this season.
If LeBron wants to hang around and keep breaking records, great. If not, trade him to a contender for picks/young talent. They can either try to rebuild around AD quickly, or trade him too for a fortune in picks. The rebuild needs to start sooner than later.
isit65outsideor
How many times will you be able to play with your son in the NBA? He’s likely gone and that’s okay.
KingNephew
I just don’t see the point of LeBron leaving LA unless he’s joining a team that’s on the cusp and is a star away. Plus he’d likely have to take a big pay cut. I think it would only be worth leaving for a team like Dallas if he signs for like $25M a year.
Potential-Host-6281
Windy’s source is probably Lebron’s camp. This is to pressure the FO to make a move.
EDIT: He’s not moving to another team until Bronny gets a contract from that team.
Rapa_Nui
What I fear the most is AD leaving right after him.
3nnui
I feel like ESPN will lose even more money and fire even more of these incompetent twats.
ChunkyMilkSubstance
No shit windy lol
starlord37
Just trade LeBron for Donovan Mitchell and Max Strus

Lebron leaving to play with his son was the ideal best case for all sides. It’s clear that he will have to play another year at USC at least. So I would say it’s likely that he opts in and plays one last season with the lakers.
If he leaves he leaves. It will be good for the lakers to start fresh. Oddly enough if he does leave I do think that’s the official beginning of Pelinka being on a very very hot seat
Asadaburrit0
That’s fair tbh.
EnergyFax
With Jeanie Buss and Darvin Scam can’t blame him for wanting off this ship.
Interesting-Mix-4250
I can’t wait to suck really bad again and have all the lebron fan boys out of the Reddit. Even though we won a chip these last few years have been dreadful. Can’t wait to build a young team
Hazzardous1990
Well of course he ain’t retiring this year captain obvious
Mustard_Jam
Not gonna lie when Lebron leaves I worry this team turns into the Knicks.
This FO has shown zero competence. Lebron and the Lakers brand has really bailed out the incompetence of the nepo kids.
Hopefully I’m wrong though
LebronsPinkyToe
If he wants to leave trade him before the deadline, im not trading everything for 150 year old Lebron James’ retirement tour
CryptoKnight7
Love seeing all the “laker fans” start hating on Lebron when these kind of posts come out.
blacPanther55
Im a Bron fan but I’m tired of this back and forth. The reality is that he’s 40 and he will return soon though.
Onlyplay2k
He going to the Spurs
heshouldgo
LeBron to Philly 😭
LakerDoc
If I were Lebron, I’d demand a trade yesterday. FO and coaching has been a mess for over a decade.
rcs2408
How does the salary cap work? Do we lose that money if Lebron walks?
_Zap_Rowsdower_
I am sooooo ready forbpost Lebron. Can’t wait to see a team built around AD, not Lebron.
Matt10Mo
So water is wet
HeaterWylin
People gotta chill. We will not be the only team ever to trade LeBron. That’s not happening
iSpeakFacts
Lebron is a married man with children. He’s not leaving LA. Bronny isn’t a lock to leave USC after one year.
What team, in the right city and franchise status is a “Lebron” away from title contention?
I also think that if Lebron is chasing Jordan , after a while , jumping team to team to chase the ring hurts your argument. Some people already penalize him for this. If he goes to Philly and wins a title , it may not have the same effect that his fan will want it to have. Jordan fans still have the 6/6 > 5 argument without having to jump around.
I really think Lebron will ride the sunset out in forum blue and gold while competing in the best way possible.
Eric_T_Meraki
I wouldn’t blame him.
LennoxAve
Stop it. He’s not going anywhere. That said – Bron always puts pressure on front offices around the trade deadline.
mj2323
Maybe I’m wrong, but I really don’t think he’s building a mansion in Beverly Hills just to use it in the off season.
Bron got us a ring and breathed new life into our franchise. I wouldn’t blame him one bit.
The_King_In_The_Bay
Man, if mfers dont stop talking that Bronny isn’t good enough shit. Hes playing for USC squad with absolutely no size and hes 2 months removed from a heart attack. Give the kid a freaking year recover his game.
Tangentkoala
Say what you want about windy but the only reason why he’s an analyst was because he was dick riding LBJ since high school.
Man literally followed him everywhere, from high school games to Miami.
I doubt he stays a laker as well.
hooperjude2425
if lebron doesn’t retire here i don’t think the FO retires his jersey and i think he wants his jersey retired
Muhstahfuh
Good, his genocide supporting ass can kick rocks. Biggest and most fakest fucking human I’ve ever come across.
