Ok, i love me some Rasheed Wallace but this is such a stupid take.Â
Mister_Mangina
lol, Sheed has perhaps smoked too much weed.
nalydpsycho
Yeah, Walton might only be a legend for a two year run. That’s a valid take. But trying to undermine that two year run. Nah. That run was legit legendary.
Bill was the best player to ever wear a Blazers jersey by a huge margin.
This is a ridiculous take lmao
TrumpedBigly
Walton had a VORP of 5.0 in 1976-77, while Lucas had 2.1.
Lucas was great in the playoffs, but Walton averaged 15 REB and 3.4 BLK per game.
meowhatissodamnfunny
This is one of those takes that’s so bad it makes it suspect to listen to the source on anything else basketball related for the rest of time. On some Gilbert Arenas shit
PuzzleArcade
Sheed has always hated Bill Walton lol idk why but itâs another spicy take among many others
ItsMoreOfAComment
What is Rasheed Wallaceâs fucking problem?
circinatum
Sheed hates Bill Walton because Bill Walton got angry about Sheed and Damon smoking weed, despite the fact that a bill Walton also used drugs while on the blazers.

Eh. It’s like listening to Shaq bitch about Walton. đ€·

Wild take, Sheed. It’s irreverent and ingracious, but totally in character.
Luck is part of the sport. Luck was a part of that run. But man’s gotta give Walton credit. For 2 years, he was the best player on the planet, and for 2 years, the Blazers were the best team on the planet.
For 40+ years, the Blazers have been the best fanbase in the league. Any non-glamour market would kill to have our fanbase, and it’s not like we’ve lit the world on fire like Miami or Golden State.
That run is why people fell over to support the team in droves for decades, even when the Jail Blazers identity was a thing. It wasn’t until the aftermath of the Jail Blazers that the mojo nearly died.
The Blazers are still THE ticket in town, and even if most Portlanders aren’t full on sickos like us in this sub, almost everyone that lives here has memories involving the team. Put some respect on the Big Red Deadhead’s name.
skullsmasher07
Well Rasheed, I always liked you but I’m not sure you can talk.
AyKayAllDay47
What’s worse was Bill Walton as an announcer. He would do the Lakers series when they were hot and he’d literally never STFU about how great that team was.
Pocketdiva666
Blazers fans will hate to hear this but thatâs the straight up truth
YaHurdMeh
Disagree about the player portion. But as a commentator, Doris Burke and Bill have a feud going for the worst of the worst.
live_from_the_gutter
Bill Walton was a dick to me and a whole bunch of other little kids when we meet him at this AAU tournament. I was probably between something like 9-12 yo. Always found his tv persona to be fake AF ever since. Was a real prick, and everyone thinks heâs this happy go lucky dude. Not really. Kind of an arrogant ass.
Soham_Dame_Niners
Hate these blazer legends doing this to each other

Sheed with a based opinion.

Sheed been talking trash since birth.
StaySafePovertyGhost
Is there something on this planet that Rasheed doesnât bitch, complain or talk shit about?
collinmacfhearghuis
Yeah, yeah, I have to agree. đ€Ł I mean, Bill is a terrible TV Analyst, and without Maurice Lucas, we don’t win the 76-77 championship. But, Bill does like Old Town Pizza. đ
LarryBirdoh
Rasheed who?
StumptownRetro
Man I miss that Sheed attitude. Bad take. But love that he has his own mind.

I agree with Sheed, after listening to Bill talk nonstop about his love of the warriors during the game against the blazers, it made me want to mute the TV. He isn’t a commentator, he was a warriors Podcaster who was commenting over a game.
Lol I stopped listening to it before he talked about his game. Thought he was just telling the truth, but it seems like he has a grudge going after his game like that.
redditmodsdownvote
must be because he wears tie-dye shirts. or something to do with color, i don’t know.
TKRUEG
I respect the take, but Walton is Walton. Wouldn’t have won that ship without him or Lucas
ErikinAmerica
F you sheed. I hated your childlike ass when you were on the team and I hate your stupid af takes now.
xXChickenravioliXx
Itâs like your two drunk uncles arguing about whoâs dumber. I love both Bill and Sheed but they are both ridiculous/dramatic and both have their fair share of weird baggage.
And I couldnât be prouder of the fact that they are some of the best to do it in a Blazer uniform.
Patient_Bandicoot
Wallace is pretty racist though. When doing construction on his house in Portland he refused to let white peoples enter his house so he only hired black people.
HistoricalPeanut7
Slightly off topic, the ESPN 30-for-30 on Walton was great stuff. None of the Walton shtick or hyperbole either.
HighburyHero
I hear Mo Lucas, I upvote
DanDan85
I love Sheed but I think every Sheed fan would agree they’d take Walton’s run with just a CHANCE at a championship over Sheed while he was a Blazer. Walton played like an MVP for almost 4 years straight years while Sheed struggled to make the All Star team every year because he wasn’t ever willing to go out there and dominate like we all know he could have.
ForeverRaining

It’s funny hearing people have strong opinions on players they didn’t even watch play actual basketball away from highlight reels.
bobbydigital75
Sheed my favorite player ever, but he missed on this one.
JarekBloodDragon
He won a ring here in portland and you didn’t sheed. I love you but this take is both objectively wrong and stupid as hell.

His role on that show has had a lot of these kinds of takes, he probably doesnât respect walton but the reasons he gave there were ridiculous.
