Embiid winning a 2nd MVP would boost his legacy far more than making it to the conference finals and losing, for example.
Also worth pointing out that there’s basically less than a 1% chance that Embiid playing 65 games will materially affect his health in a way that prevents him from making a finals run.
He’s 100% going to play enough games to qualify. You don’t just forego a chance to win MVP when you’re the clear front runner at the trade deadline.
I want him to win it. I want his legacy to have “2x MVP” attached to it whether or not he wins a ring
Also worth noting, if he *does* win a 2nd MVP, and couples that with a ring/finals MVP, he is by default on the same tier as Giannis and Jokic as best in the world. If he does it all in one season, that could very well put him at the top.

He’s not wrong.

We should want our guy to earn accolades.
Ball knows Ball.
We need Embiid to be healthy this year.
