Surprisingly measured take. I think the guys overall see that whatever the teams doing right now isn’t working. Either they figure it out and find a way to play better, or people get traded. All dynasties and epic teams get old and start to get worse at some point. They had far more success together than many would have ever anticipated.

They aren’t getting any win now pieces for Klay or Draymond.

This season is washed. No trade can salvage it.

Dray is not being traded bc no one would take on the risk of his contract length after recent events.

Klay is not being traded bc his value does not remotely align with his salary. This season is a bust, and it’s unlikely the front office would trade future prospects or picks to save a few tax dollars this year. Are any other teams looking to trade quality for Klay’s expiring to go full rebuild?

    This summer: blow it up.

  5. Just remember, Tony Parker suited up in Charlotte

    Warriors fucking retirement yard sale.

  7. Hmm, why do you think Pascal didn’t want to come to the Warriors? Perhaps there’s a team cancer, a certain player other players don’t want to play with, or share a locker room and travel time with? A guy who might, say, punch them?

I appreciate all he’s done, and for a while he was my 2nd favorite Warrior (till the 2016 Finals), but no matter what you could get in return for him, there’s such a thing as addition by subtraction. CP3 getting injured at the same time didn’t help, but is it a coincidence that the team fell apart as soon as he rejoined them, even on the bench?

I don’t expect a trade that makes us a contender, not this season anyway. But I’d like to be able to just enjoy watching games, instead of the painful and miserable experience it’s become.

I still can’t believe the warriors gave draymond that contract. Like who were yall bidding with? Then again if they offered him less and he took it, he’d probably never stop bringing it up on his podcast 🙄

I remember the days when Steph, Klay, and Draymond, back in 2015 were younger and cheaper, while we had a veteran group who was also cheaper (I think. Correct me if I’m wrong). Compared to the core 3 now. That balance was insane. Good ol’ attrition problems. Sigh.

You trade Klay before the deadline since the contract is expiring. You keep your fingers crossed that the draft pick falls in the top four (protected right?) and then pair it with Draymond, and either Moody or Podz for whatever you get during the summer. Both Moody and Pods have kinda the same athletic profile minus the smaller wingspan for Podz. The both have slow delivery on their jump shots. Can’t have them both on the same team.

BS tho. He is like I am not surprised if one of us get traded after all we are under .50 . Draymond only played like 15 games for no reason lol, at least Klay is trying.

Dray and Klay aren’t moving, they offer no value to other teams.

If Dray gets back to actual basketball, I’d rather keep Dray with Curry than Klay. Klay is unfortunately replaceable – defense, catch and shoot, cut, sniper from 3, there’s plenty in the league. Duncan Robinson, Kennard, Pritchard, A Simmons, Herro, McCollum, Markkanen, Maxey, Brogdon… You can’t find another Draymond who mesh that well with Curry on offense and capable of getting back and run defense.
