Barry Jackson : It should be clear that Heat – unlike many fans – have never viewed this as an arms race where they need to keep up with every sexy pickup by Eastern contenders. And last year, they beat every Eastern team in their playoff path without engaging in an arms race.

FO definitely sent the black suits to this man’s house after the offseason meltdown

  2. Mouthpiece: Activated.

    Damage-Control Mode: Initiated.

  3. lomasturbasmeng

Bro they fucking LOVE their team I truly feel sorry for anyone who thinks they’re making a trade lol

  4. lol one thing u can count on barry jackson for is telling heat fans no trade is coming

  5. SpotLightGuy

Here comes Barry with the damage control spin. Shit is like clockwork at this point.

  6. Survivor_for_me

Yeah we know Barry. Not like you’ve been spewing this for 3+ years now

  7. oneofone305

They are content with winning the East but not the whole thing. Accept reality

  8. MargielaMan568

They say they are prioritizing keeping Caleb Martin and Haywood Highsmith this summer lol. Yet when summer approaches they’ll lose Caleb because they’ll wanna sign him for cheap, and that’s when you’ll see the propaganda work to the fanbase for “We expect internal development from our core” as if that’s enough 💀

  9. Can never tell what fans will come to threads like these to agree or argue, but what a bad look for the front office if this is an approved message or their actual mentality.

“Well, we already continue to be unable to win the Finals *and* our competition just keeps getting better, so we’ll do nothing about either of those things.”

  10. Our best playoff lineup:

    Herro JJJ Butler Love  Bam

All are good passers, all are good to elite shooters, four of them can post up and rebound.

Who is a realistic trade target that would be upgrade?

We have Dunc, Lowry, Highsmith, Martin, Jokic on the bench.

Other than some more size or a back up
PG with fresher legs, we are set.

So we hope that all players are well during the playoffs.

I mean I knew we weren’t going to make a trade but these finals runs has made this FO a bit delusional. To make runs to the finals as a 5th seed and then an 8th seed last year is unprecedented. To think they can replicate that again is crazy

  13. Idk why they have to try and make everything so extreme. Why does any trade to improve the team get labeled us entering an “arms race”?

Improving your team is the normal and rational thing to do despite what they’d have us believe.

  14. ActualRobot1

Do y’all think that last years playoffs run is replicable? Like I wouldn’t count on things going that way again.

  15. cottonmane8

the FO can draft well (Bam Herro Jovic Jaime) and spo has proven to out coach the east every year with the team they’ve come out to admit they like why would they change chemistry and spend assets for anyone less than Durant Beal and Dame

  16. Gavster1221

Never pushing chips all in during Jimmys era gonna look so weird in a couple years

  17. Think Miami just doesn’t want to overpay for any player that isn’t goin to move the needle. Murray or players in that realm isn’t worth break the bank and it seems everytime MIA negotiate with teams they ask for the moon and or Pat low balls the hell out of them. Just seems MIA may have to revise how we engage in trades.

  18. Verissimus_Antoninus

It looks like Miami thinks it has a better chance in free agency. I understand that it’s easier to control but it’s not like the options are amazing. Lebron is great but he’s most likely going to play for only one more year and he’s likely going wherever Bronny is going to be drafted to(if he chooses to declare). Klay is older and he is one dimensional. Pascal is good but not break the bank good. Paul George is going to stay in LA. Demar is not a good fit. Everything else is serviceable. I don’t understand who they believe they can get without making a trade that will help them compete for a championship. If they wanted to wait for the young core to do it then you’re talking about maybe 3-5 years from now. We’re not one serviceable player away. We’re legitimately 1-2 all stars away. The East is completely different. I’m not sure what their plan is, obviously I hope it works but I’m super pessimistic about it.

People in this post are crazy. Im with the front office. Why go crazy dealing first round picks to only get slighlty better or possibly worse?

We have pieces that keep improving, id roll with what we have.

  20. Specialist-Money-277

I’m really getting tired of this shit. We’re the best run organization in the league, but sometimes it’s like our excellence acts as a shield for management to not make a move that seems pretty obvious to everyone else. It’s like snooty ass Heat brass is so happy to sit on their high throne and look down upon the peasants (fans or otherwise) who dare question their supreme opinion. “We’re the almighty Heat. We win with g-leaguers. WE NEED NOTHING! MWUHHUHUHUUHUHU!” Enough of them trying to convince us that Lowry holds any value… Listen, I love them and I trust them. But I’m also getting frustrated. Clearly.

  21. julstar23

This is what I’ve been saying .We get gaslighted with trade rumors and fall for it and then the fanbase gets pissed off again .Wash rinse and repeat .Milealkie is probably being used for leverage for another team probably the Lakers.

  22. Do you…want to spend draft capital for a PG who can’t shoot?

    Are we being serious?
