The Toronto Raptors are Genius…

The Toronto Raptors have outsmarted the NBA once again now masassa uiri I believe that’s how you pronounce it uh he’s back at it again he’s had one season before this year with a losing record and I don’t think he’s going to have more than two after this year for a

Good while they just acquired three first round picks as well as RJ Barrett Bruce Brown and Emanuel quickley in exchange for Pascal seaka and OJ on noi both of who will be needing a new contract soon and Jordan Nora is also coming to Toronto by the way Scotty

Barnes has turned into a top 25 player in the league people just haven’t realized it uh the Raptors aren’t that good this year they’re kind of middle of the pack in every single uh statistic they’re 16 and 25 but their new big three is all under 25 years old and like

I said Scotty Barnes has gotten very good at basketball in his third year in Toronto he’s averaging 20 points 8.4 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game while really playing the point guard spot half the time he’s the number two two playmaker for them uh but he’s also

Shooting at 48% from the field and 37% from three that’s the big thing there 37% from three for Scotty Barnes look out NBA th this man is going to be a problem before long because he’s also averaging a steel and a half per game and a block and a half per game he’s

Elite on both sides of the ball and like I said his biggest Improvement has been his three ball where he’s shooting 37% from three on six attempts last year he wasn’t even close to any of this uh last year he’s putting up 15 points per game 4.5 assist so he’s averaging five more

Points one more assist he’s shooting it um about the same from the field but he’s shooting at 8% better from three he is the future of the Toronto Raptors whether you like it or not yes they’ve made some trades but a 6 fo8 two-way star that’s only 22 years old yeah the

Raptors have heavily invested in this guy now the Nick Duo that comes to Toronto includes uh the Canadian Co Kobe Bryant is that what the the maple Mamba is that what he was um coined as I believe or was that Wiggins either way he he’s one of Canada’s basketball

Saviors 18 points per game and 4.3 assists this year on 43% shooting from the field 33% from three for New York uh but once he went north of the Border he’s averaging 21 points 7.2 rebounds 3.6 assists I know he’s only played nine games this year but we were all waiting

For RJ to take the leap in New York it’s turned out he’s just taking it in Toronto 50 7% from the field 43% from three on three attempts or on four attempts now I know it is just you know AME sample size but still that is very

Very encouraging he’s still 23 years old I think he is going to be a staple of this Toronto Raptors Organization for the next 10 to 15 years um I think he can be that good he just needs to get a little bit better on the defensive side

Of the ball now Emanuel quickley in Toronto has put up 19 points a game five rebounds and five and half assist I’m liking the way this Raptor team is coming together hadn’t quite gotten it together from the field but 47% from three on six attempts again I know it’s

Only nine games but that’s a pretty dang good start for quickley in Toronto yeah I’m very excited quickly is going to be a stud in New York he was putting up 15 two and a half two and a half on 45% shooting from the field 40% from three but now this big three

They’re all under 25 years old and they’re all averaging 20 a game except well Quickly’s averaging 19 um in New York his per 36 numbers were 22 and a half four four and a steel and that is quite similar to Jaylen brunson’s numbers on the year where he’s playing

In over 36 minutes a game where he’s averaging 26 and a half 6 and a half four on 47% shooting from the field 43% from three so yeah I’m loving the way this Raptor Core is coming together uh if you haven’t already make sure to like

You don’t miss out on any of our new videos trade season’s heating up this is the place you want to be now let’s go ah and get back into the video looking at their draft Capital they had zero first round picks this year before this trade

Now they have a Pacers 2024 first round pick the worst of either Houston or Utah’s first round pick the other two teams included in that trade are the Clippers and Thunder but they won’t be be the worst they have the Pacers 2026 first round pick and they have their own

First rounder if they are in the top six in the lottery they also bring in Bruce Brown Jordan or and Kira Lewis Jr like I said massai usiri is cooking uh they also have cap space to build around the big three ignore where is he oh never

Mind he’s already gone I was goingon to say ignore the Pascal seak part of that but I cut him out of it so RJ is the only guy making big time money down the road they could trade yaka perto if they wanted to um Gary Trent Jr will hit free

Agency but you can go back and pause that if you want they don’t have you know nearly as much money as other teams tied up they only have 98 million all in the payroll this year Bruce Brown has a$ 22.5 million player option but they very

Well may trade him for a first round pick at the deadline he’s averaging 12 points per game about five rebounds three assists and yeah he’s been a very solid player for the Indiana Pacers but it was time to move on you know they had a lot of young guards they thought all

Right we’re going to get these guys some minutes and we’re going to just trade Bruce brown or buddy he Hill they end up trading Bruce Brown um he’s been solid but this is a smart on the rapt part because they can turn around and flip

Bruce Brown for a first round pick to a team that’s trying to go all out maybe maybe the nuggets are like hey we need our guy back and they go out man that would that would be wraps for the league but a big question mark for this Raptor

Team can they develop their young guys last year K Lewis Jr shot at 45% from the field and 44% from three in 10 minutes per game in his rookie year he averaged 6 and a half points per game 2.3 rebounds and 1.3 assist but he was inefficient so since his rookie year

He’s gotten more efficient he just got less playing time and he’s been injured per 36 numbers from his rookie year look really good you can see right there now for Jordan Norah his last year in Indianapolis or not in Indianapolis in Indiana he put up 13 points per game 4.7

Rebounds and 2.1 assists per game really solid year that was a 25 game sample size cuz he got traded at the deadline but he shot at 48% from the field 42% from three own 4.5 attempts from three in 25 minutes per game solid you know if

They can develop one of those two guys that just makes these trades even better a guy that I’m disappointed in though is Grady dick 3.4 points per game one assist one rebound and you know he’s only played 27 games so maybe he’s still settling in but I was pretty confident

That he was going to be a win now type guy based off of his college numbers I mean he came into college Kansas in the toughest conference in the NCAA and shot at 40% from three off rip um he’s shooting at 27% from three right now in

The NBA now I know it is a deeper three-point shot so give him some time he’ll definitely get adjusted he’s too good of a shooter not to get adjusted because he’s 6 foot n I’m by no means hitting the Panic Button he’s going to be a great rotation piece for them in

The future but disappointed rookie year now looking at this squad they just have no depth this starting lineup is good don’t get it wrong don’t get it twisted okay you got your point guard that can also sit down and defend in Schroeder you’ve got three really good scorers and

Then you got two good perimeter defenders in Schroeder and Scotty Barnes you also have your Center and yaka Perle it’s a really good starting lineup the depth is just where I’m concerned especially with Gary Trent Jr having a really bad year bu could probably be on

The way out in the off season hopefully like we said K Lewis Jr or jadeen McDaniels chips in but you know you got that young who’s probably on the way out too uto Porter Jr Jordan or really the only guy in that picture that I think will ever contribute for the Reps with

That being said that’s going to be it for today’s video I hope you did enjoy today’s video uh if you did make sure to like button and hit that subscribe Button as well as leaving me a comment down below and with all that being said thank you so much for watching today’s video

This video looks at the Toronto Raptors and how they are genius after trading OG Anunoby and Pascal Siakam for future first round picks and RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley and Bruce Brown to put around Scottie Barnes and others

  1. Check your trade rules, RT stands for recently traded, that puts 2 month timer on them from being traded again.

  2. Pacers got the best of that Pascal deal. Those draft picks are late first rounders, and this year in what is considered a very weak draft class. Brown and Nwora's inflated numbers come from playing in the highest scoring up tempo offense in the league. Wait and see, they are both decent players, but not all stars.

  3. Knicks are 7-0 since the trade. I think they are happy with how things are working out. What's the Raps record since the Knicks trade?

  4. Wondering now what the Nets would have been willing to take for Durant a year ago.

VanVleet, Trent, Flynn and three picks? (maybe Young as well)

Imagine that trade plus the Poeltl and Anunoby trades but no Siakim trade
because Durant liked the idea of playing with Siakim.

Raptors starting 5 – Siakim, Poeltl, Durant, Barnes, Quickley.
Backups – Achuiwa, J Porter, Boucher, Barrett, Schroder
(Against teams with smaller centers Barnes could possibly play center while Barrett was shooting guard
and Poeltl moved to be the backup center)

Or since this is a fantasy I can imagine Koloko being healthy
and being the backup center instead of J Porter.

That would be a scary starting five for opposition teams
    facing the Raptors.

  5. Don't flip Bruce Brown – we need a leader with some experience, he's only 27 and he's a super sick two way player – a winner, simple! We need a versatile center though I'd say.

  6. It's fun watching Masai's fans blow sunshine up their own asses.
    Let's review, shall we?
Masai's vision 6'9 was an abysmal failure because he focused on gathering a physical archetype rather than recruiting for actual skill… leaving him with a team that were one of the worst shooting teams in the NBA….. then he allowed his starting point guard to walk in free agency for nothing…. then, despite being barely a play-in team, he refused to trade Siakam and OG when he could have got peak value and instead brought in Poeltl as the cherry on a crappy season sundae.

This year, he finally decides to move OG and Siakam (both on expiring contracts) and nets an underwhelming return. Last year, Siakam might have gotten us Mathurin. This year, everyone's excited about Bruce Brown… a great supporting piece for a contending team, but not much use to a Raptors team toiling in obscurity.

Oh, and to top it off… they'll be rewarded for their terrible season by having the Spurs cash in their lottery pick.

    Genius? Give me a break.

  7. How can anybody by a silly homer FANatic think the Raptor management is genius?? The President and GM in the past six years have been horrid. Poor trades, poor signings and nothing but Scottie Barnes in the draft. Now they are trying to rebuild, but don't know if the disinterested clowns in charge are up for the job.

  8. Raps are 4-6 after the trade watching IQ play starter mins has not been that good to go up in mins by 15 and only score 3 more points and RJ you get what you get with him scores 25 one game then the next score 14 on terrible % maybe overtime IQ can get better
