[Kyle Lowry] on being benched: “Hopefully it’s a one game thing for me, and i can get back in the starting lineup and continue to do what I’ve done this year” — Lowry is averaging 8/3/4 on 43% FG this season. Over the last two weeks he’s averaging 2/3/3 on 25% FG. He is making $30M this year.

Send him plus draft pick back to Toronto for Bruce Brown. Everybody wins.

Proposal: Lowry + Jovic + FRP for Bruce Brown + Boucher

  2. Obvious_Parsley3238

can’t believe a 37 year old six footer isn’t playing well

  3. Such_Maintenance4720

I find this only fair considering Precious Achiuwa ended up being terrible for us

  4. Wondering_Nova

And y’all called the Lakers dumb for not trading for him

  5. Bro this shit happens every year. Halfway through the season he plays like ass, and people are wanting to trade him. And then he plays ok during the playoffs. We do need an upgrade though at PG and he has some value of anything as an expiring contract. And someone would probably be happy with his services as a buyout

  6. Due_Connection179

We should literally play him like 15-20 MPG off the bench until the playoffs.

  7. K1ngCrimsn

Lowry fleecing the fck out of Miami isn’t being talked about enough

  8. SIRxDUCK7

I did not know he’s 37 lol. Thought he was in his 20’s

  9. waffle-winner

We’ll give you one 2nd, salary flotsam, and a handjob for him.

  10. Interesting-Bear4092

He’s getting pretty old now, was bound to decline at some point. Played very hard for a very long time.

  11. I’ve been a Lowry defender and while he hasn’t been worth the contract these past 2 years, he was a big reason we were the 1st seed 3 years ago.

That being said we gotta upgrade at the pg spot. Forcing Herro, jimmy, fking Duncan to be primary ball handlers has been a slog for us

  12. dude is old man. he ain’t a starting PG anymore. Let him come back to the Raptors to mentor the youngins. We can give him a udonis haslem role and then retire his jersey.

Heat really do need to move off of him. Murray, Tyus Jones, and Brogdan would be realistic options with their resources and would be a big upgrade at point guard.

  14. SnooChickens9571

Who does he play for again? Is he still a raptor?

  15. Bucks2020

Super predictable scenario as the dude is damn near 50

  16. beatboxofchocolates

Jimmy Buckets chose the power of friendship and getting his buddy paid instead of winning a championship.

  17. prodigus01

Apparently there’s something called Heat culture? Can they just give him some of that?

  18. Tearz_in_rain

I’m so happy for Lowry getting his bag.

I completely expected that, even if Lowry had gas in the tank, that the Miami culture would clash with Lowry and lead to a bad fit.

Not a knock on either Miami or Lowry. But Lowry’s cake is just not going to sit well with Riley’s militant regimes.

It’s like hiring Gianni Michaels in her prime and expecting her to be Piper Perri.

Whenever I bemoan how unlucky the Sixers have been throughout the years, and we certainly have been, I think about the fact that we almost traded Maxey for Lowry and *they* said no.

  20. dennythedinosaur

There’s a certain guard in Charlotte that rhymes with Barry Hozier that Miami can trade with.

  21. angel2timez

Trade him for Bruce and Dennis. No idea if salary’s match or if heat have picks to trade either lol

  22. Halfonion

Remember when TOR wanted Maxey for the husk of Lowery?

  23. Big_Boodu_Moot69

Your an absolute bum my dude. Never liked lowry as a player but obviously had to deal with him playing for us. God he has been terrible for a 90 million contract

  24. SteveWondersForsight

At least he’s keeping his expectations low.

  25. TripleDoubleWatch

I need him back in the starting lineup so I can keep making money on his unders.

    Do the right thing Spo!

  26. DayDreamyZucchini

It boggles the mind that Embiid is the most hated player while this turd is still in the league.

  27. LocalParanoiac

Lowry is one of my all-time favorite players but I’m imaging a world where the Sixers traded Maxey for him and feeling really nauseous

  28. bravof1ve

I thank God every day that Ujiri turned down Maxey for this guy. Embiid would be a New York Knick if that trade went through
