Chris Finch discusses turnover issues in loss to Thunder

Chris did this one come down to the turnovers oh yeah for sure no doubt um you know for defensively for the most part we did a good job I thought we played real well than a lot of free throws um but you know you know you’re not

Beating good teams with 21 turnovers and particularly the way we turn it over so and your bench um was significant in this game and how do you look at that as in comparison I guess to your starters I mean you know the bench did a good job

Um for sure maybe could have mixed them in there at the end um but uh you know those those guys have been great making tough shots we got some good looks down the stretch we didn’t make uh got to the free throw line we didn’t make you know

Some things like that so um yeah that that really wasn’t an issue it was more the the turnovers and I thought we turned down some shots like catch and shoot shots that we had to take and then we kind of played into the crowd did a

Good job in the third we only turned it over once then seven turnovers in the fourth so what do you think those turnovers in the fourth were largely a product of uh you know just again I just I thought in the third quarter we did a

Really good job of just getting off it early and um kind of exploiting their help uh probably one dribble too many um holding the ball a little bit too late probably getting into our offense a little bit too slowly at times I think a combination of that so defensively what

Shifted from the first eight minutes of the game from there on out where it seemed like they got anything they wanted to start and then much more difficult for them I mean think um yeah I I thought defensively it was you know it was it wasn’t that bad at the start

The game um we had a lot of things going on that we’re trying to do um with these guys it’s always a tricky one and I think just kind of getting comfortable with that was probably one thing but really was our offense again we couldn’t make a shot and we had some turnovers

And you know that kind of let them play kind of play free and easy so what’s the defensive shift you’re alluding to there like kind of having go bear guard Giddy and that you match up them different I mean you know when you do when you do

Those things it’s it’s it’s a it’s an Ever evolving thing because as soon as they make a sub everything has to change and then your coverages change relative to that um so uh yeah does Nas open up another kind of variable for you against maybe these smaller faster sort of teams obviously

Or what did he do tonight to kind of have the game that he had yeah I mean it was super shot ready um you know uh did a really good job there you know he had a bunch of turnovers in the first half but in the second half he played clean

Um you know took advantage of some some mismatches just creates movement for us really you know just uh good next action slipping Distortion all that stuff yeah

  1. Your 4th quarter sucked because the starters sucked. You should have left Naw, Jmac and Reed in. Edwards needs to learn to pass and shoot FT! They choked and are not passing the ball.
