  1. One brick and two turnovers for our #2 pick in last three possessions. Absolutely embarrassing.

  2. Sc0rch1ngDr4g0n

We weren’t supposed to win, but I’ll take not being blown out.

Alpi triple-double and the developing Alpi/Amen 2-man game were great to see. Sengun is a dog for getting a triple-double on a B2B, even if the TOs were higher than usual from what I guess is tiredness. And everyone was aggressive on D and good at keeping the Celtics under control, even with all their shooters.

Cam wasn’t efficient and lower volume tonight than I’d expected but he’s a rookie, so it’s all about the reps. Amen had a better game but the same applies. Like Cam’s aggressive style on D, though. And our spacing continues to be terrible with Dillon and Jalen having bad shooting nights. Landale isn’t good, but shooting feels like the main priority for upgrades now.

  3. dpatel211

Bi-product of Northeastern residents moving to H-Town for lower taxes seen in the last two minutes.

I’ll take next game against the Blazers though, not bad for a back-to-back tonight.

  4. Main-Performer-2607

Amen with an Ausar type statline. These two seem pretty similar 🤓

  5. RealPitstop

If Jalen starts hitting threes this team is dangerous

  6. PkEvolution

Missed open 3s, missed FTs, and untimely TOs. Defense was there, game was there. Nevermind, onto the next.

  7. Acceptable_Ganache51

We can get back to the sicko defense hopefully when Amen, Tari and Jabari are all healthy.

Amen has been playing pretty fucking good the past few games. Please learn to shoot 3’s brotha

  8. ptcgoalex

Celtics fans being louder than rockets fans at a home game is embarrassing

  9. inshamblesx

this went better than expected but would be nice to win a couple of games sooner rather than later 😐

  10. Ok_Release9320

we desperately need shooters on this roster man… a Joe Ingles type veteran who has play off experience and still has some left in his tank would be ideal. Count all the open 3s we missed and + that with all missed FT’s and this game would’ve been ours.

  11. nonetimeaccount

NOT MAD AT THIS AT ALL, BUT IT WOULD’VE BEEN NICE TO GET A BDAY WIN FOR DREAM

AMEN IMPRESSES IN HIS FIRST START

    CAM DOES NOT

    ALPI ALWAYS IMPRESSES

    DILLON STEPPED TF UP

PUTTING SOME OF THIS ON THE COACHES. LEAVING KP WIDE OPEN AND DARING HIM TO BEAT YOU FROM 3 IS NOT IT

HOPE WE GET HEALTHY FAST. 3 WINNABLE GAMES COMING, LET’S GET BACK OVER .500

    STAY TIPPIN

  12. Few_Mulberry7859

Amen and Sengun will be our core for the future. Put elite shooters around them please

  13. tempmail07

This game shows that this team can play double team&traps and recover when playing small. I have high hopes after allstar break. Cheer up guys, there is nothing to be pessimistic.

  14. StudentMed

Porzingis is really good. Rim protector with a 3 point shot. Someone every team could use.

  15. Better than could be expected on the 2nd of a b2b and missing two starters. Seeing Sengun and Amen playing together for extended minutes was promising.

Defence was solid, just bad turnovers and shot selection.

  16. Next three games are winnable. Time to go streaking again

  17. rickthedickkk

I am glad ALP-I got em all star numbers but I don’t think Cam is ready to be a starter.

  18. Amen getting 15/14/5 in his first career start against a very good team, second night of a b2b no less, is very pleasing! Something to be proud of tonight along with the fact that the boys put up a solid fight, even if we lost. Plus Alpi gets his 3rd career triple double and overall had a solid game even when factoring in the T/Os… although that stretch in the 3rd (i think? maybe it was early in the 4th) where he lost it off his foot while backing someone down twice in 3 possessions was a bit unfortunate. Still not bad at all, I had zero expectations for this game so just glad to have some positives to take away!

  19. QuesoStain2

I think there was a lot of positives out there. Amen was amazing and all over the place, Sengun triple double needs to work more on D but its a b2b so I give him a pass, Dillon been playing really well. Team was tired. Jalen is still rough but…it is what it is.

  20. Houston crowd has to take that “let’s go Celtics” bull shit personally man. They’re a team in the east coast with fans showing us up. Wtf.

  21. tarunpopo

I get jalen green sucks but it’s still his 3rd year. I think he can still be a great player for this team: maybe not a star guard but not every player will hit those expectation, look at the last 10 years of #1 overall picks not many hit expectations. You have your center of the future and tons of other high upside players, if jalen can learn to be a part of this offense y’all will be solid.

  22. 281330eight004

Sengun and A Thompson are the only players shooting above 50%. That is not winning basketball the rest of the team needs to hit their shots

  23. WuziMuzik

Glad to see people actually appreciating this one. Because it was one of the better games to see. It’s the most directly comparable to last season, and it showed a lot of their growth and potential. All of them are young and consistency will come, but there is still a lot of positives to take away and enjoy right now.

  24. Lanky-Specialist-537

“not passing to wide open Amen, and driving to rim like a headless chicken just to get blocked while you are down by several points” cannot be explained with player is being in the league only for 3 years. There is a fundamental awareness issue here. Also, at what age have you learned how to use a screen? if you have not learned that at most high school, number of years in the nba would not help. Half of the times he almost end up crashing with alpi at those screens. Not judging his stats, they can be improved. but the signs of fundamental issues giving me no hope for such an improvement…
