Thank you kyle

I know many fans didn’t appreciate his time here and it didnt end pretty but I believe he had some great moments with this team; especially in his first year here when we got first seed in the east and in last years finals run.

  1. This won’t get a lot of likes but I appreciate what he gave us outside of this season…. But it was certainly time to move on.

  2. He definitely helped our team win some important games. Unfortunately he just wasn’t worth the money we ended up giving him, but still a good rotation player at this point

As a Raptor fan I will say it’s too bad you got Lowry when he was over the hump because Lowry between 2014-2020 was a legit top 10 player and all around game changer. Sad you guys couldn’t get the chip last year.

He had his moments. Just didn’t justify that contract. Pat brought in Jimmy’s buddy. Can’t be too upset.

Lowry is a winner and we should be grateful for the majority of his time here

Was crucial in securing the number 1 seed in 2022, hit some crucial 3s and kept the team afloat at times during those playoffs.

Had a mid-bad regular season as a starter in 2023 but once he started coming off the bench, in the playoffs especially, he played some great ball. Taking screens, pushing the pace, he was a really solid and important rotational piece during during run.

More than anything Lowry made winning plays. A perfect example is game 4 against Milwaukee, Lowrys undertalked about screen on Holiday, exploiting the full court pressure, allows Jimmy the time needed to hit *that* 3.

Did he ever play $30M good? no, we all know that, but he definitely was not as bad as some fans will tell you. It was a gamble move by the FO and we reached the ECF and Finals off of it. Not what we wanted but also nothing to laugh at.

I am a massive hater, I never liked the guy and he was the complete opposite of culture for like 90% of his time here. Sorry but I gotta keep it consistent. What a waste, I’m sure we would have had a ring if we were able to spend that 30m more efficiently, dude was so washed it’s insane.

    But thanks anyway

There’s so much I liked about Kyle. Im not going to go too much into the contract which is my main issue, but he does a ton of things that make a difference. I really wish we would have gotten prime Lowry because even at this point, he does a lot of good things.

I know he looked washed but I did enjoy Lowry in a Heat jersey. Wish we had him earlier in his career or for less $$ but it is what it is.

Just another employee heading out of town, I don’t get attached to these players. He’s not the first and he won’t be the last.

I’m excited at the upgrade to our team and what we can run on offense.

I wouldn’t mind keeping him if his contract wasn’t what it is. He definitely steps up in important games.

  12. And ppl thought Lowry unfollowing JJJ meant nothing smh. He knew he was gone. Huge trade for Heat

He was great in that first regular season but went downhill after he came back from that personal absence / injury for the playoffs

Gonna miss his veteran presence on the bench always coaching our young guys.

Hope he goes somewhere where he can be happy in his role.

I appreciate Kyle for all he did here, but it was time to let go

Thank you Kyle! First year was amazing and he did a great job mentoring the young guys. Truly enjoyed him on the team before he just got too old — which was to be expected.

  17. I liked Lowry. He helped us during some lows his first two seasons, the offense was a bit more stable with him out there. Unfortunately father time has caught up with him and he really wasn’t giving us much. His 8.2 ppg as a starter felt bolstered where he would pop off for a single game, and normally we’d see a lot less out of him. I wish him luck, appreciate the time he had here, and also excited to see how Rozier can fit in and hopefully put us over the top.

  18. Now that i will be cheering for the Knicks and Pacers in the playoffs – as my Miami Heat send off from last year let me just say, the fear in the Celtics sub over this trade is beautiful to behold.
