Even though it didn’t really matter (though Monroe had one good game against us in the playoffs), I thought it was worth the insurance of having a solid 3rd C in case Marc/Serge got hurt or they were both in foul trouble against Embiid.

I know there were a lot of vets on the team but I was surprised we didn’t get more ring chasers that year aside from Jeremy Lin and Jodie Meeks (and Lin I thought was less for ring chasing and more for playing time as a replacement for Delon Wright). I thought that we would have been a lock to sign ZBo, especially after trading for Gasol
